Someone explain what kind of food this is, how it's cooked, and how it made that shape?

Thats how they make gyros usually, its pretty good man, its delicious. I tasted the best Gyros in Germany, cooked by them turks.

I always Get extra Sriracha on em. The place by where I work is called "Tasty Honkin Donairs" lol. Another place around Coquitlam got shut down last year for using Horse meat tho lol.

Ok, but wtf, why do they cook it in a cylinder like that? That's fuckin weird. It looks like they took the intenstines right outta the animal and put it on a skewer. Doesn't even look like meat..

Try a Persian area, or maybe a Wholefood, if my memory serves me right I had a big box with meat and vegetables and stuff for life 5 bucks, this stuff is delicious!

BUT IT LOOKS LIKE INSECTS.
So this is a bunch of cut up meat, shrink-wrapped in something? It looks like that to me... Is there more than meat on those skewers? And what keeps it from falling apart? It's still in bee-hive form and not falling or anything..
This thing puzzles me, and a little bit freaks me out.
