Only listened to it with headphones on so cant speak much about the quality of the sound. The album itself is dope though in my opnion after a spin n a half. Has good replay value in my opinion. If your a Joe Budden fan your gonna like this....

1. Now I Lay - 3.25/5 - not bad content, don't like the (annoying) beat. Budden is best rapping over slow, depressing beats; shoulda' opened the album with a beat like that.
2. The Future Ft. The Game - 3.5/5 - very main steam but I enjoy it in that way. Nice to see Budden & Game dead the beef and come together for a track. Budden is a great rapper who also knows how to make good/tolerable main stream sounding songs.
3. If I Gotta' Go - 4.75/5 - this the type of shit i'm lookin' for Budden! this beat is god damn bananas.
4. Don't Make Me - 3.75/5 - Budden always brings it so most of the ratings will be effected by production. This beat has some elements I like and some I dislike.
5. Blood on the Wall - 4/5 - I like the concept and the Prodigy lines, aha. But the beat doesn't fit the content perfectly.
6. In My Sleep - 4.25/5 - Can't wait to see the video. Cool concept. I like it.
7. Exxxes - 4.75/5 - I like this hook. The beat is super hot, these the beats I love hearing Budden rap over; he excels over these.
8. I Couldn't Help It - 4.75/5 - Again, the right vibe this track has like "Exxxes" did.
9. Adrenaline - 3.5/5 - not totally feeling the rock-ish feel to it; fitting title though (lol).
10. Happy Holidays Ft. Emanny - 3.5/5 - too "happy go lucky" for a budden track lol.
11. Do Tell - 4.75/5 - This some vintage Budden, hot shit
12. Angel in my Life - 4.75/5 Again, vintage what-i-wanna-hear Budden! Sample is damn great.
13. Pray For Me - 5/5 - The best track on the album, all-around.
14. Family Reunion Remix - 5/5 - Ain't this been out for a while? doesn't really fit the album and is a bonus; i'll likely ignore it when rating the album.
All in all, i'm a bit disappointed after the first listen. Production kinda' weak overall on it. MM3 is better than this. Again, this opinion formed after one listen. As you can see by the ratings, there are 6 songs I REALLY like; hopefully some others will grow on me (which is likely).

i agree. i love budden, its a cool album. there's flashes of the budden i wanna see (pray for me, angel in my life, do tell, etc) but its enough of that for me

Budden has the lyrics but he lacks the flow. Additionally, his beat selection is really hit or miss. It was a disappointment.
I look forward to slaughterhouse cause it seems cats like Budden, Crooked-I, and Ortiz can't make hot songs but can spit hot bars.

I cant go back to listen to any of them Mobb albums now cause theirs no conviction behind what theyre saying. Its all phony shit. 3.5 / 5 The mixing is decent, but the mastering is TERRIBLE... Would it hurt to crank the beat a bit more and pan the vocals to front instead of the back?
Now I Lay: This the typa upbeat but down-to-earth joints that Budden need to make more of it. Definitely my fav song..
Future: A decent mainstream song... This song is mastered the best..
If I Gotta Go: Man they shoulda turned the interlude into the beat.. I might sample that cuz its a heck of a lot better than the one they actually used for the song.
Dont Make Me: As close to Dipset style beats (my fav typa production) as im gonna get with Budden. Like this one.
Blood On The Wall: More bad mastering... Track is good. The last lines of Joe's diss to Prodigy are so lame it almost ruins the rest of the verse which was ether...
In My Sleep: Obviously the Klasix.. The beat is dope, cept for when the double basskick starts in it makes Joe sound offbeat. Concept of the song is good, but I Feel like he's going nowhere to it. Just a buncha random thoughts, no conclusion, no lesson learned, he just stops rapping... There's no hook. There's no hook. There's no hook. There's no hook.
Exxxes: This song sounds like a deep emotional one.. Until Joe starts rapping about fucking her for the WHOLE song? This song is almost too much to take, I really don't like the chorus, it's giving me a bad vibe with this awesome beat to be rapping about violent sex...

Adrenaline: Of course this is the Dub B track... Dude abandoned Hip Hop for Rock n Roll after MM2. This is HeartBreak on the second verse.. This song is almost cool, could be the mastering but it sounds like it. Almost a good crossover song.
Happy Holidays: BAD BAD MASTERING. WTF... Holy shit. This song is the summer song made in the Winter.. Liking this one, good feelings from this..
Do Tell: Track is too much, more concept Joe.... Not hearing any Growth in this song...
Angel In My Life: The title track.. Good idea, but there's no Growth.. You're not gonna make it? You're time is up? The relation is there for me, but it's not inspiring at all.
Pray IV Me: Hmmm, NAS - BLUNT ASHES? Just that one sample.. Anyways the concept is cool. The lyrics are probably the most heartfelt of the whole record.. Obviously Joe wrote the whole song.. sounds like HeartBreak spitting with some EQ on.. Good joint.
Didn't live up to what I thought it would be, but I'm not disappointed.

I'm not a big Budden fan like alotta y'all in here so I wasn't expecting that much to begin with, but it's definitely a cool album to check out... my favorite tracks were "Now I Lay", "The Future", "In My Sleep", "Happy Holidays", "Do Tell", "Angel In My Life", and "Pray For Me"

im at a cross here....the content is def different and its a huge breath of fresh air for me. but,i really wanted one track where he really went hard and attacked lyrically but i didnt get that imo. but overall im more than satisfied,i just hope i can find a hard copy tomorrow since i didnt pre-order and i read that there are only 70,000 copies.....

lol true...they all have a solid hard core internet fan base individually. mixtapes can usually keep those fans attention until they can make a record for the masses. imo this is the way for any of them to really get main stream success, but thats my opinion....

It's a good album 3.5/5. The production is what is lackluster. Budden should have gone with at least a few better beats than that. "Pray For Me" is an instant classic. With the right production Budden's is definitely capable of making a classic I mean his lyrics and concepts are ON POINT!

Well, it's been about a week since it first leaked so I've had a chance to absorb the album and it really grew on me after the first few listens. The concept was dope, but some of it felt disjointed in some places. Lyrically though, Joe was killing it.

I think Amalgam shipped out 70k Joe was saying and there pretty much all sold out already, only 4 days in. They fucked up bad on this release. They shoulda put out a video for "The Future" aswell with Game in it. They put an extra "d" in Budden on his album, they didnt ship very many copies out, its comin out in Canada this tuesday and some places in Canada next next tuesday. The mixing wasnt too good aswell. Joe also said if he had alittle more time to work on this album, he said he was almost certain that he coulda made a real classic, but god damn he had 5 years, how much more time did he need LOL? But due to all the pushbacks n shit and working on the Mood Muzik's and then halfway house, then having to turn it in around then, guess he coulda had a bit more time. Pretty sloppy ass release if you ask me, Joe should get off that stupid ass label. But all in all, am i happy with this release? Hell yah, its a dope ass album not really a classic but it destroys anything else out there right now, a really solid album, 4/5 for me!!!

This is a very good album with some real stand out tracks on it and is a really introspective album to, so those looking for punch lines galore better look elsewhere but for lyricism, yeah this definitely falls into that category.

this album has really grown on me a lot, I bumped it a few more times this week... I forgot to check the FYE at the mall today to see if they had this cuz I was thinking about coppin' it, but I did check Best Buy and they either sold out or didn't order any :(

Someone posted this on the SOHH forum about what some of the songs are about. Guess its somewhat legit but everyones got there own opinions about what songs about what!!!
On gotta go he tells the listeners how he use to be a drug user and that he dont feel like living anymore. Dont make me is him having all kind of suicidal thoughts. In my sleep takes place in a mental institution. He is in a padded room by himself. He is obviously depressed most of the time....so when the nurse gives him his medicine((anti-depressant)), he start to hallucinate. Through out the course of the song he tells you why he is in the mental institution. The reasons are his career with def jam, the death of stack, his uncle mike and his grandmother ((keeps him depress)). While on drugs he start to elevate his life.....but his conscience come into play which show him hell v.s heaven. While in the padded room joey dreams and his depression ask if he is cheating b/c she doesnt want him to be happy instead wants him to be depress and suicidal which ties in with angel in my life. Angel in my life is where we see that joey was release into society and became a murderer. Then pray 4 me he is battling god since he chose to go with satan. On exxxes is where he chose his depression over the drugs which leads to him write a suicidal note on do tell. I couldnt help it isnt a bout a woman but him explaining that he couldnt help but chose depression.

Absolutely incredible, it's why IMO Joey is the best alive.

I don't know if there's any other album out there that has grown on me as much as this one did... I fuckin' love this album now and have listened to it everyday this week, my rating has now changed from 3.5/5 to a 4/5... I wanna try to find a copy in a store so I can cop one

All in all, i'm a bit disappointed after the first listen. Production kinda' weak overall on it. MM3 is better than this. Again, this opinion formed after one listen. As you can see by the ratings, there are 6 songs I REALLY like; hopefully some others will grow on me (which is likely).
well, by totalling the ratings, thats 59.7/70 , which is equal to 85% or 8.5/10
going by that it would seem like you like the album alot.
