I read your letter and you disrespectfully mentioned my name. If you dont know why Vibe magazine chose to put me in the Best Rapper Alive issue maybe you should have researched me before you wrote what you wrote. Since you have time on your hands, you should check out week 1 thru 52 of my historical Hip Hop Weekly series. Week 33 was a freestyle over your song Get Away (one of my favorite Mobb Deep songs). All things considered, there is a price for speaking on a real nigga sideways. Out west we call this price a fade. I need you to catch my fade, in other words, fight me 1 on 1. Nobody else, just you and me. Ill wait for your release date since I dont forget about shit.

I know, I was thinking the same thing, but then I saw that MusicMickey twitter yesterday and noticed that he also mentioned something about Crooked laying down a new verse for Royce 5'9" album a day ago like it was something monstrous.

To be honest, I liked the first album, there was heat on there, but it got overpowered by too many wack songs. There were gems on there. The follow up "2000 BC" was sick, to me at least. I still throw that in from time to time. "C-True Hollywood Stories" was dead terrible though, I pretty much stopped listening after that came out.
Bis is dirty though ain't no doubt about it.

I guess it depends on the context of the discussion, would I rather get something for free? Yes. Would I rather hear a compressed MP3 I've burned on a CD-R than a mastered CD? Um, probably not. More importantly if you're comparing artists, would you really say the one who can put stuff out that people will pay for is the loser?
I'm a fan of both guys and at the moment, I'd much rather hear a Crooked I solo album but the fact is Prodigy has 3 solo albums and like 5 or 6 group albums plus a couple of other projects his name is attached to. Outside of an appearance on Yukmouth and Ras Kass' last albums, I can't even think of guest spots or appearances that Crook has made on retail albums in the last couple years. In the end, Prodigy shouldn't have thrown Crook's name out there like he was nobody but that doesn't abolish what Mobb Deep has done in the rap game either.
