it was summer time
around 1990-6
The days I miss
just another summer
but something was
different with this
over there I see kids
and they talkin bout this
talkin about that
to me it gets back
that across the street
a girls flying in to meet
her father for the summer
kind of made me think
what this might mean
for me
will she be the girl of my dreams
we were kids then
about 14
or so it seems
dreams of a teen
wouldn't prevail
they said ohhh well
it's nothing, just kids
don't really understand
what true love is
But in my heart I felt it
In your arms I melted
Playing hide-and-seek
after the street lights go off
Hide with you
just for an excuse to talk
walking back to home base
I'd place my hand in yours
that night when I kissed your face
