I agree with Budden for the most part and understand his point but he should straight up drop the diss or the track of the 32 bars against Method Man and prove his point. Budden brought it up, he should lay those verses, and then wait for the reply.

The more I think about this the more I am disappointed in Meth. He really, really, really embarrassed himself in this. He made it clear in my opinion that lyrically he doesn't want it with Joey, I don't blame him. All Meth brought up was being physical and selling records, dude reiterated all the points that Budden made. Meth is a complete tool in this interview to be honest.

ive listened to one of his mixtapes (i forget which one) and Padded Room. i really tried to be a fan of budden..i just couldnt do it. he is a good writer, but other than that, none of his songs really appealed to me. that being said, if were just talking lyrics, not anything else, just words, budden wins.
in a battle, idk who would win. meth might come with some shit that just murders joey..for the simple fact that joe lit a fire under his ass. on the other hand, joey could have a legitimate shot at gaining MAD exposure as the dude who murdered method man.

I think Method spoke on some real when he said Budden shouldn't be worried about some vibe list and should focus on stepping up his career - which in my opinion, that's what's Budden been doing since slaughterhouse.
All this nonsense about beating each other up over a difference of opinion on who could outrap each other is silly and on some immature shit when they could easily prove who's better by going at in the booth. In fact if they did it properly, as in person, people would have more respect for both of them.

First off, thanks Hoodlum for posting this. It was pretty interesting.
I have to agree that Ed Lover did a great job of being fair with these call-ins. It seems like he really
tried to give both Meth and Budden a chance to say what they wanted to say. But he didn't take sides.
When it comes to both these guys let me just say that I like both their music. But I have to say it just doesn't seem
like there's enough room for both their egos.
I wholeheartedly agree with Joe Budden that if Vibe or anyone else is going to have a top MC's list, it should be based on
ability rather than album sales or anything like that. And that list that was put together by Vibe was completely
ridiculous.
On the other hand, it's totally ridiculous for him to claim that the idea of him being the best out is an actual proveable
fact when someone's appeal is always going to be subjective. I can totally agree with him that he's a great
MC. And of the contemporary artists, he's one of the best. But even that is still just my opinion.
In a way, I kind of lean toward siding with Method Man, just because the whole thing started with him minding
his own business and being called out. I mean, Method even said himself that that Vibe list was ridiculous.
And I agree with Method Man that Joe Budden shouldn't have even payed attention to that list. I don't know why anyone
would even be offended by a list that was so obviously flawed.

Yeah. It's hard for me to understand too, but for whatever reason, there are a lot of people that don't get into the whole lyrical side of rap. To me, it's the most important element. Unfortunately though, the Slaughterhouse album's commercial success may boil down to who produces and what guests are featured. It won't have any
bearing on whether or not I buy the album, but it might to more casual rap fans.

props for putting me on the track. Some lines are cool but they aint on some Big L type shit. I was just saying though that a song like Dear Mama or Hail Mary are just dope because he knows exactly when to say the right thing at the right time and hence create such amazing songs.
