Whats going on with these cats?
Can't understand, why they haven't made more music together than Bitch Please 2, they appeared together on screen in the Wash, and saw a back stage interview with them at the MTV VMA 99 I think.
Remember Snoop slagging him off in a interview here, and I recall Em never mentioned Snoop as a influence, in speeches, shout outs or any.
However I think Snoop shouted out Em in the Oh No track with 50 Cent i nthe end of the song, and I also remember Snoop talking positive bout Em in a VH1 documentary bout the Marshall Mathers Lp.
What do you think guys?
-
Who cares their styles don't match at all
-
their styles don't match at all
I think that's the major factor behind it all, Snoop on a "Must Be The Ganja" remix would be fire though!
-
like the otha guy said..their styles dont match..but both are legends in my book.
-
Man I just remembered Eminem doing Snoop's flow in Bitch Please II, that was gold.
-
why would you want to hear two washed up rappers together?
-
^^

Don't tell me Bitch Please 2 wasn't the shit.
Nah, was just wondering.
Snoop seems to run his mouth in interviews, for no good reason, the interview bout Em, the interview where he's dissing Crooked I, and his failed attempt to act like Don King, promoting a Game vs Spider Loc fight...
-
"Bitch Please II" is a classic. I don't think Snoop Dogg and Eminem get along that well though, didn't Dogg say some shit about Eminem in some interview?

Yeah, it was an interview here on this site, just before the Blue Carpet album came out, he kind of dissed Em, even immitated him (hilarious when he does that with people), cause the reporter said something bout Snoop using the Stan beat, then he went as far as dissing that track too.
However I'm positive he's shouting Em out at the end of the Oh no track with 50, check it out.
Plus wasn't Em and Dre supposed to guest his show recently?

I think Snoop's a lil pissed that Em gets more mainstream attention than him because he's white. That's why he calls him the great white American hope.
-
Snoop always exposes himself as a jealous hater
-
yeah, I'm thinking the same.
But I still think they'd make some dope music together especially on a Dre beat
-
It's fun to think about when he was trying to unite the West Coast a few years back
-
That was just a PR move nothing more nothing less.
-
What did Snoop say about Em? I missed that.
-
You can tell the western conference was the work of a publicist. What do you do when your coast says you don't support it and your a hater?Hold one lame press conference to " unite" the west. You can tell its fake just by his actions, shake hands with crooked I and then diss him? That's a lame move

I found it
Dubcnn: Then we get to the next Dre record, which is “Round Here”. When I heard the beat I was like “Damn, I know this sample from somewhere!” It sounded real similar to Eminem’s beat for “Stan”.
Not to me! When I first heard it, I didn’t think about “Stan”. I don’t listen to Eminem records, no disrespect to him, but I don’t listen to Eminem’s records. I’m a gangsta.
Dubcnn: It had the same sample that's used for Eminem’s beat.
I can’t tell! “Stan” was talking about a fan, somebody that is a groupie on Eminem’s dick, that’s writing him letters and all kind of shit, dreaming of being him. My shit is “Round Here”, gangsta shit!
Dubcnn: I was just saying that the beat used the same sample..
Well, that’s Dr. Dre! He’s a producer, why wouldn’t he use his shit? That’s his shit! Roger Troutman used the same sound on every beat he ever made! Barry White used the same sound on every beat he ever made!
Dubcnn: You got me wrong, I wasn’t criticizing the song homie…
No I’m just giving you, so you’ll know, so the viewers can know! A producer has a sound that’s identified with him. So that’s an identification that’s saying that Dr. Dre really put his hands on that track! I didn’t hear “Stan” on that song when I first heard it. That song didn’t remind of “Stan”, it made me wanna start talk shit about round here! It ain’t safe to leave the house, don’t fuck around round here! Niggas will put you in the ground, don’t fuck around round here! That’s what I was on! I wasn’t on no “Stan, write me a letter, I wanna come see you! You’re my favorite fan!” I wasn’t on that bullshit! I’m on gangsta shit homie!
Dubcnn: *laughs* You crazy…
Oh and that’s my next single, so you know… I’m finna shoot the video, and make the muthafucka super gangsta, cause it’s time for me to drop a Snoop Dogg single, with just me on it. Without no features, without no singers, without no dancing, without no bitches, without no smiling, without no laughing and a hundred homies, it’s just about me. That’s what time it is right now.
-
Yeah, that was funny when Snoop thought Eminem was corny/poppy for makin songs like "Stan". This was around the same time Snoop was makin corny pop tracks with Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey, lol.

Yeap, Snoop had the hook done before Doc heard it though
-
Well, Dr.Dre and Eminem were supposed to have made guest appearances at a recent Snoop concert. But Dre was hindered so Eminem decided to skip the event as well. My guess is that Eminem and Snoop aren't friends, but I don't think they hate each other either. If Dr.Dre wanted them on a record together they'd do it.
-
They sure ain't friends.
But guys check out the end of Oh no, isn't he shouting out Eminem?
-
Yeah, I just double checked, he does say Eminem, so he's having some mood swings....
He shouted everyone in G-Unit except for Tony Yayo.... LOL
-
What are you guys talking bout? Eminem and Snoop wtf, im leaving this thread IM GANGSTA

SNOOP AT HIS BEST < EMINEM AT HIS BEST (INFINITE-SLIM SHADY ERA)
In my opinion Snoop at his best >>>>>> Eminem at his best.
Doggystyle is one of the best cds ever.
However nowadays Snoop tries to evolve and the result is not up to the general expectation. But I can understand this, at some point you can't keep doing the same thing forever. For the fans of the old school Snoop he left plenty of material.
As for the combination of the flows, I am not sure that there would be a real chemistry...
-
they got chemistry but snoop made jealous bout Em being dre's bitch niow
-
Snoop should do a track with Eminem for "Malice in Wonderland"
and Im sure they will collaborate again for "Detox"
-
I wanna see Kurupt and Eminem, that'd be dope!
-
I wanna see Kurupt and Eminem, that'd be dope!
They would have been a classic collabo in 1999, both spittin some crazy shit over a Dr. Dre/Mel-Man beat.
-
Whats the relationship with Eminem & Ice Cube?
-
I think the relationship that Dre & Em have is what Snoop could have had with Dre...Over the years, Snoop has always seemed cool with Dre but then he sometimes has taken little shots at him as well..Maybe it goes back to the Deathrow days and the rumor that Dre could have testified on Snoops behalf with his murder trial but chose not to or maybe Snoop felt like Dre abandoned him the way he left DR but things have not been the same since then..Even THe Wash project left some bad feelings...Em on the other hand has always respected Dre and has never had anything negative to say about Dre at all. I mean I never ever thought Dre would produce anyone's entire project again the way he just basically did Em's and Snoop will never ever get that from Dre again even though that is the only way Snoops rap career could be revived..Basically, i just think Em has been more grateful than Snoop for what Dre has done for him while Snoop has at times been ungrateful and a hater and is probably a little jealous of Em and Dre but that is his fault. At this point, I'm not even sure if even Dre can revive Snoops falling career.

Ok, 'is Snoop that bad?
I don't think so, yeah he's not spitting the classic G-shit, but come on he's older now, and yes he is doing pop now, but I don't think he's that bad, could find worse.
But good point
-
What's up Dane?? Yeah man, I do understand your point also but I think Snoop is that bad now...Can't even go gold at this point..Em on the other hand can take years off, come back and with Dre's production, probably will double in the first week what Snoops last album has sold to this date. Snoop actually thought Teddy Riley was going to revive him? I don't see any singers or rappers knocking down Teddy's door for hits...Let's face it, Em is where Snoop could have been as Dre's favorite partner in rhyme and they can make millions together for years to come. If and when Detox drops, Em is gonna be featured way more than Snoop and I'm sure Em has at least one more album in him as well...That has to fuck with Snoop. I was listening to Doggystyle today and damn, Snoop and Dre could have made so much more music and money together. Damn Snoop.... :'(
-
I think Kurupt from 1995-1997 had the sickest flow in the game. Listen to his verses on "All Eyez On Me" and listen to some of that unreleased stuff like "I Just Don't Bang No More." If we could have had a Death Row 1996 Kurupt album produced by Dr. Dre now that would have been the treat right there.
But I agree Snoop is just bitter and upset his card has expired and nobody cares about him anymore. He says he's a gangsta and Eminem's on some groupie fan stuff but then he goes and dances around and tries to copy T-Pain with that "Sexual Seduction" song. And he said originally Ego Trippin was going to be just Snoop Dogg with no guest appearances then he goes and decks it out with guests. Then he decides that being a pop star just isn't enough and he wants to be a country music star too, so he does that country track "MY MEDICINE" on Ego Trippin.
I know Eminem's not no gangsta or anything nor has he claimed to be, but I never remember Eminem trying to be a country music star on any of his records like Snoop Doggy Dogg, lol.
-
real talk

Hi guys.
Yeah, it's some solid points you are making.
I like both Em and Snoop, I've just always wondered why the heck they haven't done more stuff together.
I'd say, they somehow are like brothers under their mentor Dr. Dre, cause they are/was both his biggest stars.
Snoop has even taken 50 and the Unit under his wings, so it's a little strange.
But since the Game beef, it seems that Snoop has sided with Game (fair enough), but you haven't heard him and 50 or the rest of the unit (minus Buck) record anything with him in the past 2 - 3 years.
But ok, Em hasn't recorded with Xzibit for many years too, so they probably just don't mix, Em and Snoop.
I agree, Em and Kurupt could be a sick duo on a Dre beat.
-
Em hasn't recorded with Xzibit for many years too, so they probably just don't mix, Em and Snoop.
I guess somethin happened between Dre, Em, Snoop and Xzibit. All of them kind of stopped fuckin with X.
Remember when that Dre/Em/Xzibit vs. Jermaine Dupri beef was on, Snoop was dissin' them all and sayin somethin like "stop dissin JD, let's attack the big dog (Suge)".
Then Suge Knight ran into Xzibit at some club and asked about the relationship with him and Snoop Dogg and X said it's all business, after that Snoop, Daz and Soopafly started talkin shit about him and it seems like nobody from Dogg Pound has been fuckin with Xzibit after that. Well, i know that Daz & Kurupt was on "Full Circle" but still it seems odd that they all just stopped fuckin with each other all of a sudden.
-
Xzibit and Em collabs were always dope, something I definitely wanna see again...
-
How did snoop take 50 and g unit under his wings?LOL.50 sold more records then snoop and ran a successful label, while doggystyle records didn't do much.
-
How did he take them under his wings.
Well he appeared on the P.I.M.P single (remix)
Then he got on both Buck and Banks album, generally fucked with the Unit, remember the supergroup, DPG-Unit (never amounted to something, but still the cut on Buck's album was pretty dope.
Yeah, guess Xzibit, said what he falt he had to say, to avoid a good beating.
I understand Snoop got upset, but I bet he'd do the same standing alone with Suge.
I know he claims he scared the shit out of Suge at the BET awards, when they finally faced each other, but come on, who the fuck believe that?
Yeah, Xzibit kind of fade away, yeah man, I love that diss on JD, but it was like Snoop said weak, that they only went after the little man.
Read somewhere once, that Em's bodyguard said it was a nightmare in LA, cause Suge boys were after them all the time, chasing them around town, when doing concerts and shit.
-
I wouldn't call appearing on a couple songs taking someone under their wing.
-
Don't be hatin 8)
Maybe not, but looking back at it a brand new artist, which 50 was, I'd say it gave him some cred, having Snoop as his big uncle appearing in video's and songs
-
Snoop and Xzibit have worked with each other since the Suge incident so it is what it is in that department.
-
Didnt Snoop hook Game and X up for Cali Vacation?
Anyway like someone already said, I don't think Snoops style fits all that well with Em and it was pretty amazing that they pulled off such a classic track with Bitch Please 2. Now Em and X 8) that'd be something.
-
Em and x have worked together a few times ...
-
"Bitch Please II" is a classic. I don't think Snoop Dogg and Eminem get along that well though, didn't Dogg say some shit about Eminem in some interview?
Snoop likes to talk shit in inteviews, tho that doesnt mean they shouldnt do MUST BE THE GANJA remix ft Snoop!

Remember Snoop just poppin off at the mouth back around 2001 when they were talking about doing an NWA reunion and Em being one the members. Snoop was like 'this is Niggaz wit Attitudes' no white boys get the fuck outta here. Granted he had a point but the way he was saying it seemed like he resented em.

damn snoop a hater
he doesnt want to be considered less than the king of this coast (i guess cept when game was sayin hes the king)

This must be a muthafuckin' joke?

I could see Em be featured on the new NWA crew, but not a member, how the hell could he ever be that?
I got the impression that Xzibit might have been a member of the new posse.

I never heard anything like that. Snoop Dogg was the only one that was gonna be a new member.

i think snoop resents the fact that whiteboys who would otherwise be casual hip hop fans if fans at all like to pull em out their ass when talkin about great mc's. while em is one of the few whiteboys that can rap he is far from one of the greats. lots of rappers u never heard of are better then em. there's a reason he compares his self to elvis who made his fame/fortune/legacy borrowing from and alot of time out right stealing from black culture and music and puttin a white face on it.. he is not the only one guilty of this but he's a good example.
-
free post this is a groupie ass thread

they should have had many more tracks together, especially with the Dre connection

To be fair it was basically Snoop trying to do a soul album and no one liked it. If Snoop had stuck to the formula no doubt it would've gone platinum.

I don't think any video footage of it leaked, Suge was supposed to release them, if i remember right. He had that "Celebrity Beatdowns vol.1" comin' out. There's that clip of some gangbangers beatin' down that NBA player and that was supposed to be on the DVD too.
-
why he aint leaked..suge is idiot and realist is no words for he's idiotizam
