i'm watching MTV's movie awards & Eminem performed (pretty good) & then they go to commercial break.
they come back & the "introduce" Bruno; he came in flying with wings in barely anything & he lands like on top of Em & his posse.
they start pushing him & shit almost throwing punches & Eminem just got up & left.
they went to a close up of Em & he said "so stupid" & walked up the aisle & out; crazy shit.

Yeah, yeah. I think he handled the situation well for being on live tv. I mean if he really physically harmed Bruno he'd be facing multiple law suits and there's no denying Em's actions since it's all on camera. It's not like Bruno was threatening him.

I don't know, man. You might be right. I haven't seen the footage yet. But this is the guy who flipped out when they put puppets in his face on one of these kind of shows a couple years ago. Plus, Sacha Baron Cohen seems like the kind of guy who puts himself in harms way for the sake of trying to be funny too. After all, he's the guy who got punched in the face for pulling that trick too many times. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd say there's at least some chance this could be real.

I do have some points:
1: when he looked up, why didnt he get out the way, counter argument may be that he didn't actually think he was gonna drop down onto him so quickly.
2: why did he just sit there for a few seconds. counter argument is he was shocked, maybe trying to calm himself down because if he punched him & or caused a commotion it could jeopardize his future on MTV or even perhaps legal troubles.

Just watched the footage. It didn't seem staged to me at all. At least not for Eminem's part. MTV might have had an idea what Sacha was going to do, but I don't think Eminem had any idea. And honestly, I think he showed more restraint than I would have. I think sticking your bare ass directly in someone's face would pretty much make anyone irate. And I don't think this is anything that Eminem would have ever agreed to, so in my mind I don't believe it was staged.

I think they had probably planned something. For instance, it might have been scripted that Sacha was going to be lowered to where he would end up sitting in Em's lap or something. But I think the part where Sacha's ass ends up in Eminem's face was not staged. The more I think about Sacha probably changed that himself at the last minute, because he thought that would be funnier. But I think Eminem's reaction is pretty telling that he did not plan on that bit happening the way it did.
