Title: Bone Thugs Vs. Mobb Deep
Post by: DPGC2003 on October 19, 2002, 03:05:11 PM
Both groups have dropped at least 2 classics...Both have fallen off in recent years...I think Mobb Deep fell of worse with their last album that shit was straight up garbage and I don't know what the fuck happened to Prodigy dude was one of the illest back in the mid 90's...

My choice is obvious too, no thinking needed.

I don't understand Bone Thugs, and I doubt will ever buy any of thier albums.

Mobb on the other hand is one of my fav. groups.

The MOBB  no doubt, their early shit that is. Their new shit is kinda weak, their last albums were sub-par.

Bone, easily. I like Mobb Deep, but they're extremely repetitive, and they just, quite simply, didnt have the impact on hip hop that Bone did. They're actually pretty similiar. Both of them drop that raw grimey street shit, but Bone is more original, and I prefer E.1999 Eternal over any Mobb Deep album [although Infamous and HOE are classic].

E. 1999 Eternal is in my top 10 albums of all time.

I just don't like them, they aren't my flavor I guess.  I don't like every artist.  Three 6 Mafia, Crucial Conflict are other groups I don't like.

And the reason I'm not buying any of thier albums is just that, I don't like them, plus I still gotta buy albums I should have from artists I like (De La Soul Is Dead, Stakes Is High, Words From A Genius, Soul Food, Goin' Off...I could go on for awhile)

I'm not saying they're shit, or anything like that.

You should give E.1999 Eternal a listen............most definatly a classic album. Ive recommended this album to a ton of people who werent big Bone fans, and I have a near-perfect score.

Mobb Deep easy.  When the west coast was mashin on the east coast they stood up to us.  Bone I felt them when they first came out but after that they got tired to me.

I'd say that Infamous, Hell On Earth & Murda Muzik are all great albums.  They all have really good singles too.

Infamous and Hell On Earth are classic, Murda Muzik is near-classic. I still think Bone is better though, for impact/influence reasons.
