They do deserve a lot more than they are getting.

The album has 8 solid cuts on it IMO. I personally love the album bar 2 tracks.

I think if they had 3 or 4 more songs on it, it would have sold a lot better. Do soundscan take digital sales (itunes/amazon) into consideration?

I don't think they'll even make it to the top 200 list which is less than 3-5k.

What, you serious? Didn't even Dub Union sell like 5k with the name change and all.

Don't know how much they sold but they had Big Snoop D-O-double G's pimpin approval stickers all over their album.

Well Soopafly was on that one, that explains why it sold so well.  If Blakqout would've had a track with Soopafly on it, it would have done similar numbers.  Plus I hyped up the Dubb Union album big time on the boards and I drove around town with my windows down bumping it all day holding up signs to passing cars saying "if you like what you hear, go buy this album", so that is why they moved 5K that first week.

"Trauma" sold 30K+ first week, I think this can reach 15K, we ain't talkin' about a Dogg Pound release, DJ Quik has a pretty strong fan base, just look at DubCnn.

Good point. Lets hope for 20k +. Fandango was a pretty big single but this has 3 singles in Hey Playa, 9z Out of 10 and Do U know.

All great tracks too.

Really outside of the internet this album has not been promoted that much so 5-10k sounds about right.

Put it this way: top 05 album scan has been reported at 37%, with the lowest at 1000 units so far and Fixxers, I mean Blaqout is not on there at all.  :boohoo:

damn thats bad numbers , huge flop .   it wasnt a very good album anyways .  10,000 is terrible for big artist like Quik & Kurupt .

I expected those numbers, maybe hopin' for a little bit more but this is the market. Thanks.

10k aint that bad for an album with a wack single. if they had come with a dope single it probably would have sold a couple 1000 more but 9 outta ten x was awful.

I was right, I guessed 10-15k, not bad it really coulda been worse. How much money you think they will make each for doin this album? 100k each atleast?

No way man, lets say they make about $5 for every album sold, they sell 10000 copies thats only 50k, split 75/25 with Quik taking the big chunk cos he produced it. That's fuck all revenue, and their singles aren't really getting any play so there's no revenue from that

Add another sale to that. I've been listening to "Do U know" the past 2 nights now, and love it. It's not typical DJ Quik signature style I'd love to see on him albums - you all know what I mean - Rhythm-alism, Balance & Options, but that track is modern, and has that summer vibe to it, and because of that track alone, I copped this - and that's after I heard the initial track of 9 times outta 10 - WHICH I HATED, not for the fact it sucked, but for the fact it belittled my expectations for a Quik/Kurupt collab, and displayed zero possibilities of what I expected or hoped for, for a DJ Quik production. I've heard the "Do U Know" track, and "The appeal", which I must say shows signs of his older style, that laid back style. After listening to these 2 songs a few times, it's made me wanna cop this, and finalize my collection of Quik albums
