Title: Joe Budden On Inspectah Deck Diss, "Yeah He F**king Hid 'Cause I Looked For Him"
Post by: Lunatic on July 13, 2009, 03:45:09 PM
Joe Budden has shared his thoughts on Inspectah Deck's on-stage taunts last night (July 12) in Washington, DC, and explained why the beef didn't turn physical.
Click here to find out more!

Confirming earlier reports of Deck shouting "F*ck Joe Budden" at a "Rock The Bells" show Sunday night, Joey also said he had a diss record for the rapper but decided not to release it.

"I'm not gonna beat anybody up," Joe promised on his live stream. "I'm saying that was my first initial reaction to hearing he did that dumb sh*t on stage which lets me know how much of a f*cking coward he is because we were on the stage and then get got off the stage roaming around...Then you go on stage and say that dumb sh*t, all the fans leave 'cause nobody supports that dumb sh*t and then you go hide somewhere like a f*cking f*ggot. Yeah he f*cking hid because I looked for him...There was no scuffle, no fight, I didn't even talk to Raekwon. I just went looking for n*ggas...But then I left because I'm making too much money to sacrifice it for beating him up. At the end of the day, it's not worth beating him up...You missed it, I had the beginning of the diss record set up and everything. Had the 'Triumph' beat, let it just come on, let him start...And then cut it off, 'No you don't, you don't bomb sh*t,' and then just f*cking go in."

Both Wu-Tang members and Budden's camp were both at the DC venue.

"What did happen is that during Raekwon's set, Inspectah Deck came out onstage to perform 'Cream,' and a few other songs," Miss Info wrote via her blog. "(Rza even joined Rae and Deck's performance) but before Inspectah Deck left, he did tell the crowd, 'F--k Joe Budden.'" (Miss Info TV)

Raekwon also cleared up rumors about a fight taking place.

"All rumors are false," he wrote, "bout me and that kid there was no fight or altercation, a n*gga had to clear that up." (Raekwon's Twitter)

Deck's on-stage diss was his latest follow-up to the release of "House N*gga" last week.

"First of all, you a blogger, YouTube goon/House n*gga," Deck raps. "I see you like to put your world online, ain't nobody checkin' for you/They checkin' for your girl's behind/While your homie in the bedroom, dustin' his eyes/While you filmin' dumb sh*t/They probably f*cked a few times/How you Slaughterhouse, you barely get a nod/I'm convict, benchin' daily in the yard/So I'm built like Optimus Prime/You couldn't see me with binoculars, I'm/way ahead of you...This n*gga's life's a publicity stunt/But he think he fever/I ain't a believer/Def Jam chucked him/They ain't feel him neither/Why are you talking like the Morpheous of rhymes/When my first sh*t sold more than all your sh*t combined...Mef let you live, I'ma set it/And I ain't on the phone but you get the text message...And I ain't gotta talk about Gloria Velez/Stalker a** n*gga, you were callin' her obsessed." ("House N*gga")

maybe not "just" to see Slaughterhouse, but i would say easily at least 80% of the people their would talk about Slaughterhouse, the way i talk about them.

their were way more Joe Budden fans there than Inspectah Deck fans. :P

I'm a slaughterhouse fan, no doubt......but that's bullshit, straight up..... like i said before, its one thing to support your favorite artist, but from a casual observer standpoint, you look delusional homie.....i aint even like decks diss at all, but all this shit about 'i made a record but don't wanna release it'? you either lying or you scared to release it, why mention shit otherwise? cuz thats how it makes him look....and im sure INS wasn't that hard to find, i mean does anyone really believe buddens was looking for a dude that was wit an entourage of like 50 dudes? i wouldn't blame him for not looking! but don't act like you were really trying to see dude in person, cuz again, it defies logic and thus, probably isnt true...all that shit about 'im making to much money to risk it fighting, your not worth it' is an excuse that you would hear someone give for backing down from a fight because they were scared....budden seems to do this all the time, talk shit and then when shit gets hot, play the whole non violence card....i defy any of the budden fans in here to deny any of this as not true....

notice how Raekwon and Method Man are NOT getting involved in the beef anymore...

meanwhile, Deck, who doesn't have HALF the name those 2 have, is out there doing this shit

the hip hop fan in me wants to hear Joey reply

but if I were Joey, I'd be thinking why help boost this guy's popularity over a C- diss song....lol

he clearly said "Slaughterhouse said chill", why would he go against the group he just formed with an album on the way?

what's the call for violence anyway? it's rap, rap beefs have been settled forever on the mic; except for one time, but do you really want people to start dying?

it's not like INS slapped Budden in the face, ran away & then Budden was "looking" for him; but even in this situation, maybe he wasn't "looking" for him, but their was no need for violence their.

hands down the better rapper, might as well just show it; but Slaughterhouse (like i said, the group he just formed, with an album so close to release), told him not to; why just go against them & cause problems within the group for your own ego? he's being a team player.

you really think Budden would lie about that whole thing over "Triumph"? he would really just go out of the way to lie about that song?

c'mon now.

notice how Raekwan and Method Man are NOT getting involved in the beef anymore...

Knoxxx: Ins hasn't been the "toughest" guy in this beef either. If he was really about it, and truly had a problem with Budden, instead of saying "fuck joe budden" at a concert for some publicity (one which Budden was at) he could have just gone up to him and said or did something face to face ::)

I wanna Budden lyrically tear into him.

good point luna - it doesn't take a heavy pair to go on stage and say 3 words

if you really feel that way, and aren't doing it for publicity, why not go and punch dude in face?  THAT'S embarassing him, not yelling his name on stage and inserting a measily "Fuck" prior

Binky Bink (mase's cousin) once punched Canibus in the face AT CANIBUS'S OWN RELEASE PARTY lmao

of course fighting over this shit is stupid, but BUDDENS is the one who talked about looking for him! so what does that imply? he's saying that he wanted to see INS in the physical. how else are you gonna excuse dudes own words or interpret it? if i'm deck and i read that, i'd be like 'oh, ok. dude was looking for me like that? but he's afraide i'll sue or snitch? ok then, heres my word joey: i guarantee you i wont do shit legally. now whats your excuse?' and f'real, you real think deck would go run and get a lawyer or sum shit? yeah right! deck is a street dude first and foremost and knows what it is.....how many more excuses can you fans give for buddens suspect ass moves and excuses? why would you make a response diss record but not release it? whats the fucking point? he was obviously mad about what INS said at rock the bells, isnt that enough to compell him to leak the damn thing? and again, i really am a slaughterhouse supporter, and have been since jump, ask pooty, but i gotta call shit out when i see it.....

you guys are missing my points entirely....im not encouraging a fight, im merely talking about what i see as excuse after excuse from buddens....he was the only one who talked about looking for someone....i wouldnt blame him for doing so after what INS said....i just dont believe him for the reason mentioned previously, i think he's a liar who said all that to save face....he knows people are gonna be like " oooh, INS said 'fuck buddens'! so now he has to give a reason why he STILLl hasnt released a diss record or retaliated in some way other that 'vlog' or 'blog' or whatever the fuck....again, i really, REALLY dont think INS was hard to find....i was actually back stage at rock the bells in San bernadino back in 03' and trust me, there's rappers everywhere just chilling.....but hey, i already got enough karma haters in here, i aint trying to make anyone else upset......just my opinion of course

well he explained how that was just his initial reaction to hearing him say "FUCK JOE BUDDEN" on stage, afterwards he realized that wasn't the right way; but it's fair for you to have your own opinon on that one.

as for the song, the way it was put is that Joey was pissed & left, alone.

he, alone, said on his Twitter, "i'm really writing, it's on"; wrote the song, recorded it & when he saw Slaughterhouse the next day or whatever, they must have told him don't release that shit; it's just INS, Meth & Rae haven't really talked about it, fuck it.

now i ask, why would Budden hear Slaughterhouse say "chill, don't release it" & just go against their word? they're a group, he has to be a member, not run it.

Just a little rant, Hip-Hop fans have a tendency to automatically assume the old school (Wu) is AUTOMATICALLY better than the new school (Slaughterhouse) because it's the "popular" thing to and although are normally right, but you are dealing with something different here. These 4 guys are a serious case of lyricists.

I am NOT saying they are better than the Wu, but to claim/think Slaughterhouse would not have a chance in this lyrical battle is dearly wrong.

to lunatic- i am one of these old school wu tang fans, but you will never, ever, hear me once say that slaughterhouse cant go toe to toe with them, because those four brothers are the illest in the game right now, sans a select few, and that aint even up for debate...of course im gonna have my opinion about the whole situation, but i would never take nothing away from them, there ill as fuck

Budden need to drop the diss or quit talkin about it. if there is a reason he doesnt drop it then fine but stop talkin about it then. its not like that deck diss was that great and even if joey dropped heat on dude it doesnt really matter. it wont change opinions from either side. WU-Fans or even more ride or die than joe/SH fans....

ehh, but like it's been said, he made one, but Slaughterhouse said "don't release it".

so the video saying why he didn't release it is good for us, before we turned around & said "wow, Budden is bitch for not responding".

Wu Tang as a whole never were amazing lyricists - now, GZA  is a huge outlier haha...but Wu to me is always gonna be remembered for RZA's amazing 1993-1997 production and their grimey-ass beats #1.  not to say Joe budden is an amazing lyricist, but he's certainly better than Inspectah Deck in my opinion.

thats why "Liquid Swords" is the best wutang album ever - GZA drops amazing verses on every song...much better than hearing 8 or 9 guys trying to drop 8 bars each and not get the chance to fully show off their skills lol.

im probably one of the biggest wutang fans on this board, but they could in no way stand toe to toe against slaughterhouse. wu-tang has 2 or 3 good MCs and the rest are pretty average while slaughterhouse is 4 of the illest MCs in hiphop in one group

lmao at Joe Budden making too much money to beat somebody up! ahaha.. What money?  The only thing he's got going right now is his lil internet videos and the only reason anybody watches that is cuz of his girl.  BTW, I've never seen a dude so sprung on his own girl like that before.  But anyways..

Joey didn't go looking for anybody, like somebody said, he's just trying to save face cuz the crowd was yelling fuck Joe Buddens at a concert he was at

And if he does have a diss song, its definately a bad idea to rap over the Triumph beat, cuz thats the one where Deck went off.. So people are automatically gonna compare how they rocked the same beat, and if Joey doesn't kill it better than Deck, it'll be a loss

Jumpoff >>> rap (where you at SPICE?). ;D

Wu don't want it, but it brings up a good point.

why chant fuck "Joe Budden" at a show where 80% of the people their are just their for Slaughterhouse?

Why dont Wu want it? They just released Chamber Music which despite not having a full compliment was fucking dope!
Why would 80% of people have been there when to be honest these guys are big underground only... Otherwise they wouldnt be begging to be put on an album cover would they? I am a fan of Slaughterhouse and hope they do well but I could ask for opinions from any other person in my whole country and maybe a thousand out of 4 million would have heard of either Slaughterhouse or maybe on of its members and that would generally be Royce due to his association with Em... I know over there there are many more people but I still havent heard them being co signed over MTV and played everywhere...
Also by the sound of it many of the people were agreeable to the fact he said 'fuck Joe Budden'

Not hating here but these are the facts as I see them man

"I see you like to put your world online, ain't nobody checkin' for you/They checkin' for your girl's behind/While your homie in the bedroom, dustin' his eyes/While you filmin' dumb sh*t/They probably f*cked a few times/How you Slaughterhouse, you barely get a nod/I'm convict, benchin' daily in the yard/So I'm built like Optimus Prime/You couldn't see me with binoculars, I'm/way ahead of you...This n*gga's life's a publicity stunt/But he think he fever/I ain't a believer/Def Jam chucked him/They ain't feel him neither/Why are you talking like the Morpheous of rhymes/When my first sh*t sold more than all your sh*t combined...Mef let you live, I'ma set it/And I ain't on the phone but you get the text message...And I ain't gotta talk about Gloria Velez/Stalker a** n*gga, you were callin' her obsessed." ("House N*gga")
yall niggas just better pray that ghost dont jump in..ya know how he get down...this is a time where dirty would have did some shit like piss on a buddens photo on stage or something.

what were those exact numbers?

because it's hard to believe Crooked I, the most anticiapated rapper online; Joe Budden can chip in for his 20,000 fans; Royce has about 20,000 fans & Joell has about 15,000 fans; add them all up, plus fans who became a fan of Slaughterhouse from "The One" video or hearing songs that leaked & you have a decent amount of sales.

(note that the amount of "fans" i gave them aren't to total amount of fans, just the number of fans who would most likely go out & cop the album)

why are we even talking about sales? why do sales even matter?

i love how people try and use the "now" to try to justify why a particular rapper should be considered better. Like time even matters. Time is relative. A year from now there will be a completely different set of rappers that people are talking about and stanning up to. Wu Tang has been in the game over 15 years. slaughterhouse is a newly formed group. If you compare their debuts and what impact they've made, obviously they don't match up. For all we know they will fail and go back to their individual careers. I'm not saying they can't make an impact. But people are talking like they already have this string of accomplishments that can be compared against a legendary hip hop group that has already made their mark. Its ridiculous.

i doubt that slaughterhouse could outsell Wu even today but we will see. I hope they can sell well and I hope they do blow up, but don't assume anything.

im probably one of the biggest wutang fans on this board, but they could in no way stand toe to toe against slaughterhouse. wu-tang has 2 or 3 good MCs and the rest are pretty average while slaughterhouse is 4 of the illest MCs in hiphop in one group

2 to 3? You're not a Wu Fan don't pretend.

aside from meth, gza and ghostface, who in wu-tang is not an average MC?

u-god, ins, raekwon, rza?

lol, whose fault is that? they weren't born soon enough?

i've said it before, The Marshall Mathers LP was the last "true classic" that gets thrown into top "number" albums of all time.

now in an age, where sales go to people who don't even rap; how can any album make that impact? never again will their be a top selling, hard lyrical spitting artist.

plus people refuse to allow albums of today to even be in the same sentence as albums from the 90's, people won't ever allow these albums to even come close to making an impact.

then people want to go & say "hip hop is dead" when you got 4 of the best rappers in hip hop, who actually rap their asses off, in the same group; just putting music out for the fans & trying to give actual rap a comeback & you got people saying "one of the members isn't good", "the group as a whole is overrated", constant threads i go into about Slaughterhouse i wouldn't say people are talking shit to the extreme, but people say things that show dis-interest & i just don't get it lol. but thanks to you guys, Lil' Wayne just sold 3 million albums LMAO.

anyway, albums today simply cannot hold the same impact; because it's nothing new. like i said, The Marshall Mathers LP is concidered like the last "real classic" & it's because it's from a rapper who made an amazing impact by being white. but sales really shouldn't even be the talked about, it doesn't equal impact or matter in 2009. if the album is great, it shouldn't matter how much it sells, it's a great album.

it happens in sports all the time, legends retire, we praise them; but we find new ones to root for & become fans of, we don't have to constantly live in the past.

The only relevant argument for sales is that it reflects on how big your fan base is which reflects how relatable your music is but none of this means it reflects real talent or skill ... though it can.

it happens in sports all the time, legends retire, we praise them; but we find new ones to root for & become fans of, we don't have to constantly live in the past.

The Marshal Mathers LP came out in 2000. There have been quite a few classics since then. The Blueprint, Stillmatic, God's Son, The Black Album, Like Water For Chocolate, Be, College Dropout, The Cool etc. These are better albums than MMLP. Not to mention all the underground classics. Your little theory fails.

its only been the last few years where there have been no mainstream classic albums and that's because the mainstream music has suffered. 2009 has been a terrible year for mainstream albums. So far there have been a string of disappointing albums, only a few standout albums and no classics.

Do me a favor and read my post thoroughly if you are going to respond. You didn't even listen to What I was saying because your are repeating what I was just responding about. What has Slaughterhouse accomplished besides several dope songs? Have they put out a string of great/classic group albums? Have they established themselves as great artists on their own? The only members who have put out good albums are Royce and Budden. And even then, are you honestly going to compare Padded Room to OB4CL or Liquid Swords? If so, you are straight up delusional. I've never said that slaughterhouse isn't good or isn't capable of being great. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do. BUT THEY HAVEN'T EVEN RELEASED AN ALBUM YET.STOP COMPARING THEM TO ONE OF THE GREATEST HIP HOP GROUPS OF ALL TIME WHEN THEY'VE ONLY DONE 8 TRACKS TOGETHER.

Another thing I want to talk about is stans. Being a Slaughterhouse groupie doesn't help Slaughterhouse, it hurts them by turning away potential fans. Why do you think so many people hate lil wayne? He has some decent songs, he's not as terrible as people make him out to be. It's because his groupies go around saying he's the greatest rapper alive and it pisses people off. Some of these people would actually be listening to lil wayne if it weren't for his groupies. It's the same for Slaughterhouse. Many of these people that you argue with might have copped the album, even if they are only a casual listener. Now, thanks to you, they aren't even checking for Slaughterhouse at all.

Don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution. Stop being a stan and more people will check for Budden or Slaughterhouse. Instead of arguing on a forum and calling people haters and turning away potential fans. If someone makes a stupid comment like Slaughterhouse sucks then feel free to defend them, but if someone thinks they aren't the greatest group ever, or is making legit criticism then stfu and stop being a groupie.

why are we even talking about sales? why do sales even matter?

i love how people try and use the "now" to try to justify why a particular rapper should be considered better.

I hope they can sell well and I hope they do blow up, but don't assume anything.

lol, whose fault is that? they weren't born soon enough?

i've said it before, The Marshall Mathers LP was the last "true classic" that gets thrown into top "number" albums of all time.

now in an age, where sales go to people who don't even rap; how can any album make that impact? never again will their be a top selling, hard lyrical spitting artist.

plus people refuse to allow albums of today to even be in the same sentence as albums from the 90's, people won't ever allow these albums to even come close to making an impact.

then people want to go & say "hip hop is dead" when you got 4 of the best rappers in hip hop, who actually rap their asses off, in the same group; just putting music out for the fans & trying to give actual rap a comeback & you got people saying "one of the members isn't good", "the group as a whole is overrated", constant threads i go into about Slaughterhouse i wouldn't say people are talking shit to the extreme, but people say things that show dis-interest & i just don't get it lol. but thanks to you guys, Lil' Wayne just sold 3 million albums LMAO.

anyway, albums today simply cannot hold the same impact; because it's nothing new. like i said, The Marshall Mathers LP is concidered like the last "real classic" & it's because it's from a rapper who made an amazing impact by being white. but sales really shouldn't even be the talked about, it doesn't equal impact or matter in 2009. if the album is great, it shouldn't matter how much it sells, it's a great album.

it happens in sports all the time, legends retire, we praise them; but we find new ones to root for & become fans of, we don't have to constantly live in the past.

If someone makes a stupid comment like Slaughterhouse sucks then feel free to defend them, but if someone thinks they aren't the greatest group ever, or is making legit criticism then stfu and stop being a groupie.

you ask anyone on this board to name their top 15 albums i bet 70% have The Marshall Mathers LP & 95% of them DO NOT have the albums you named lol.

it doesn't matter what's better in your opinon; hip hop will remember the MMLP to be one of the best albums of all time.

but you have to understand we are comparing the two in 2009, not Slaughterhouse of today vs. the Wu of yesterday.

the 9 songs we have heard so far are better than 8 Diagrams, in my opinon; i don't even think you have to be a Slaughterhouse stan to admit to that.

i'm not trying to say Slaughterhouse is better than the history of Wu Tang, but as of July 15th, 2009 i would say Slaughterhouse will be putting out the better music from this point out.

i get what you're saying with the stan-ism too, but somebody has to be a stan. ;D

Sales don't mean shit. You do know that Illmatic didn't sell very well when it came out? It took it 7 years to go platinum. Yet obviously its an undisputed classic. These albums I listed have received universal acclaim and are regarded by myself and most people I know who are fans of hip hop as classic albums. MMLP was released by the first mainstream white rapper who actually had talent (and produced by a legendary hip hop producer) and it was purchased by damn near every white person who listens to hip hop. Of course you motherfuckers are gonna own it.

I'd agree that the tracks we've heard from Slaughterhouse are better than most of the songs on 8 Diagrams (excluding the one). What does that say? How does that make them better than Wu Tang? Why are you comparing 8 Slaughterhouse tracks to an album Wu Tang released 2 years ago? Why not the album they released 8 years ago? Better yet, why not their debut? If Nas released a shitty album next week does that mean Slaughterhouse is better than Nas? Do you see my point yet?

What the fuck does it mean to say that at this particular moment in time, the tracks from slaughterhouse are better than Wu Tang's last album? That means absolutely jack shit. Because 6 months from now it won't mean jack shit and a year from now it won't mean jack shit. The present doesn't tell you anything, I just wrote a paragraph explaining this, wish you would read my posts thoroughly. There's absolutely zero point in comparing 8 Slaughterhouse songs to Wu Tang's worst album at a particular point in time because it doesn't mean anything in the scheme of things. Its like saying Budden is better than Eminem because Padded Room was a better album than Relapse. Its a ridiculous argument. Its an even worse of an argument than budden vs eminem because Slaughterhouse haven't even debuted yet.

And no, no one has to be a stan. The world would be a better place without any stans. I will never understand why people can't just be fans and enjoy the music. I like a lot of different rappers and I am a stan of no one.

^LOL, i see what point you're trying to make; but i also see we are on the same page but we are reading two different books.

the whole point of this is Joe Budden vs. INS, which has turned into Slaughterhouse vs. Wu-Tang; don't ask me why.

obviously, Wu-Tang is the better group all time; but if their was beef right now (which is kind of a hot topic) Slaughterhouse would wipe the floor with them, in my opinon; today.

at their bests, OBVIOUSLY Wu has the better record working for them; but with a group of four amazing MC's in their prime vs. a bunch of past prime guys, who do you think wins?

but like i said we're arguing two different things, you're saying that just because they're past prime now, how does that take away from the good old shit? i don't say it does, i agree with what you're saying; but my argument has a whole different thing working with it.

i am talking about Wu vs. Slaughterhouse today, which i what i thought you were getting at. :P

^i bet most of them didn't even know the situation & thought that Slaughterhouse was going to come out & do a song with Wu lol.

My respect for Raekwon's opinion on rap disappeared after he commented on Rick Ross as a being a legend and Wayne being a credible force of hip-hop in this climate (only reason Wayne isn't is he's Rebirthing).  Rae talks a lot of shit just to make moves.

As I said before this shit is past lame.  They each had their time to shine with diss records but didn't.  Budden tossed some decent shots outs in the DOA freestyle and INS released a diss that I didn't listen to.

The beef started on some dumb shit.  Let's check the history
1.  Budden comments on a video with the major focus on the flaws of the rating system and he quickly grabs for an example of someone he could out rap today which happened to be method man.
2. Method man catches feelings like Budden fucked his bitch, got on the radio with some of his peers, most notably Busta Rhymes and Redman - and shit talked Budden with physical threats.
3.  Budden laughs off the threats with his etherweb videos.
4.  Shit talking continues but is picked up by Raekown and other Wu affiliates.  Meanwhile, Royce steps up to support Budden.
5.  DOA freestyle is released with some shots at Method and Wu.
6.  Most likely, Crooked and Joell Ortiz set up a peace deal or some lame ass shit where Budden, Rae, and Busta talk it out.
7.  The beef is deaded.
8.  Inspetcah Deck pops up and starts it up again with his diss.
9.  Budden does some more ehterwebs shit
10.  Inspectah Deck says fuck budden
11.  Budden does more etherwebs claiming of creating a fiyah diss but won't release it out of respect to his peers in Slaughterhouse.
12. More shit talking by Raekwon.
13. To be continued

So fuck'em all.  It's been some lame shit.  One decent freestyle and a diss from someone who is basically irrelevant.

I'm a bump Budden's upcoming material - solo and group and I'll bump Rae's once it drops.  Bring some dope records.  But stop this lame ass childish shit.  Aren't you grown men?  Stop acting hood, act like you got pride and sense.
