pretty shitastic. I was hoping for either something i could sit and chill to or something that would tear the club up, this track does neither. So far its looking like Blueprint 3 is gonna be waste. Jay was horrible on this track :-X

problem is when you call an album blueprint 3 the fans expect it to be at least somewhere on the level of the original. This is wack for Jays standards but if ur comparing to what gucci mane and wayne put out then its average.

This tracks pretty average, really don't get why this is the lead single :-\ The beats boring, Jay sounded half-arsed and Rihannas chorus sounded like every other chorus shes ever done, the only highlight was Kanye who killed it 8)

i feel like Jay knows the formula, look what Rhianna did for Live Your Life; basically the only reason that song did what it did.
we, the more intense hip hop fans might think this song is "wacK" (even though i think it's good), but the average radio listener will love this song; sick hook & Kanye; it's a good look for Jay.

I dug DOA but am slight disappointed with the track though the current quality of the track is poor.
I don't mind Jay's lyrics as much as it's his flow . His lyrics are honest which is the minimum I expect from him. On the other hand his flow is sing-song-esque which isn't bad, it's just different but I ain't really feeling it. At least he's rapping.
Rihanna sounded fine. Ye did his usual routine which I don't find to be spectacular.
The beat reminds me of Dr.Dre's Encore (Curtain's Down). It's got different keys but that damn sound affect when the drum hits is similar.

Put You On The Game has a West Coast feel & We Ain't is just an amazing beat.
The Documentary was an amazing produced album, along with D.A. (which was mainly West Coast).

What camp is relevant? It's always been one big artist and a couple of underdogs.
Aftermath is one of the few to have several huge stars - Dr.Dre, Eminem and 50 Cent. Roc is the next big one to have two huge stars - Jay-Z and Kanye. Cash Money has Lil Wayne...and Drake but his legacy is far from being cemented.

But really, this shit kills some of Jay's other singles, notably CHange CLothes and SHow Me What You Got. Just like Jome said, better than most of Jay's first singles. It has a nice beat, an catchy (although annoying) chorus, and a great Kanye verse. It will do what its supposed to.
Jay's album will be nice I am sure, just like his last one was (Roc Boys was a GREAT single)

i just wanna explain a lil somethin about auto-tune for all you guys
THERE IS AUTO TUNE IN THIS SONG
most people (jay-z included) think auto-tune is just the robot voice. that is auto tune with the settings tuned up to 10. auto-tune is used in all modern mainstream recordings as an industry standard. all pop stars use it for 'pitch correction', this is just a small use and its often very hard to tell even to the trained ear.
its a different story if you listen to rihannah! that is not a natural sounding at all unless your ears are broke. all her songs have that tone which really grates my ears. it sounds slightly robotic. another popular artist who uses it in a similar way is akon. just listen to his hooks, they are also slightly artifical sounding, and that is because he uses auto tune.
everyone does it, its just rihanna and akon make it really obvious by relying on it (probably because they cant really sing amazing in real life)
