Interesting. One would surmise no unreleased Dre tracks might mean there was some objection on his end about releasing old material, but if those bonus tracks are true and "Poor Young Dave" is listed it doesn't make sense considering it is Dre produced. Strange.

They re-released the album back in 2002 right near the time Nu Mixx Klassics was released, and another short amount in the UK in 2003

How the fuck you gonna say we comin out with a re-release of The Chronic with "nevere before heard tracks" and none of them are even by Dre. Maybe some of those Snoop tracks are produced by Dre, but really, I had a feeling they wouldn't be droppin any new Dre shit. Not even the Next Episode track, but they got the Dave one? I still am gonna pick it up the day it drops but am not liking the Dre-less bonus tracks.

Overall, looks pretty good. A little disappointing that it looks like no new Dr. Dre tracks. Also, I'm not sure why they seem to be unaware of the fact that Lady of Rage released her
album. I'm guessing that's just an oversight though. Being that Death Row is under new ownership now, something like that was bound to happen. Someone should probably send them an e-mail though to let them know that that particular material has already been released. Being that this is scheduled for a September 1st release, it's probably too late to change that on here. But it's something they should probably still be aware of for future releases. Considering the "unreleased material" is bound to be a major selling point with a lot of people, for all of their future releases, they actually would probably appreciate knowing.
I'm still waiting for an official announcement from Wideawake about the final track list. But I would imagine that this list is real.

Why are they releasing unreleased music on a DVD? I mean why not giving a code to download them so you can put it on your ipod or something. I know people will rip it from the DVD and convert it to MP3 files but it would be nice to have the music uncompressed in it's purest form. Ya dig?

You can get higher quality audio from a DVD than you can from a CD so that "uncompressed" argument doesn't make sense.
I'm guessing there were some legal issues with Dre's unreleased material and that is why we're not seeing any unreleased Dre tracks. When they first announced the album they were touting that it had at least 4 unreleased DRE tracks but as it has gotten closer to the release date they were no longer saying the unreleased tracks were Dre ones. I think they should've saved Nigga Named Dave for a "Doggystyle 2" type release. With all the unreleased Snoop from that era like Next Episode, Doggystyle, Dave, Every Single Day, It's On, and Hoe Hopper to name a few, they could at the least make a very bangin Snoop EP just from the Doggystyle era.
I don't really understand why Sno Shot is on there because it appears on both her solo AND Gridlock'd. They could've done a better job picking the unreleased tracks, but it's their first release and I'll be cool with what they got for now and hopefully they learn from their mistakes.

In Lara Levis's last interview it seemed like Dre wasn't too interested in fucking with them, she said the only contact they had was with Dre's lawyers. Probly why no Dre tracks.

I'm assuming they would be CDQ, and a preview of projects to come because Smoke Enough Bud was from Jewell's album.

It's his material, Wide Awake had no part in creating it - so I would rather give the artist freedom and not here it than do the typical greedy thing.

so the bonus songs have nothing/little to do with the original album, except the fact they were recorded for the same record label. bit of waste of time if you ask me, better to have just 1 or 2 relevant bonus songs than a load of random stuff...

Their original idea was good, but it appears that Dre didn't give them the time of day about it so they can't include his unreleased shit. All u guys saying fuck Dre for not working with them on this need to shut the fuck up. Dre has his mind on 50's album and Detox and those are bigger projects than you or I can imagine.
When WideAwake first realized Dre wasnt fucking with them they should've scrapped it and realize that they should wait until after he's finished Detox to do this project because then he might actually have time to help them and play a part in the release.

WideAwake owns the masters not the rights to release or distribute material not part of the original recordings. Snoop and DPG can take similar action with some good attorneys.

Ok if u got it straight from Lara then that's legit obviously. It's not as simple as giving permission when it comes to Dre. He is a perfectionist and probably doesn't want mediorce (in his opinion) music out there with his name on it. It sucks for us, but we can't be that mad at him because it is HIS music.

through all the "firm's" and "dr.dre presents the aftermath's" and even when he really dropped the ball and refused to put king tees album out we still checked for him.

The only reason Death Row was able 2 release Dead Man Walkin was because signed over his publishing rights 2 Suge Knight. Suge has rights 2 those records but not total publishing rights 2 tha stuff Snoop did with Dre. That's why we've never heard that stuff because Dre owns some rights 2 that stuff and they have 2 get his permission. We all know what happen with the Chronic 2000 album and Dre being forced 2 change his album title from The Chronic 2001 to simply 2001 (with the chronic leaf beside it). I mean, Suge and Death Row at that time fuck'd up alot of shit being on that bullshit.
