beat is great, hook is not so!!
-
Good stuff, much better than the other Timbo track. Flow is still not 100% but I dig the subject matter and the beat (finally a proper Timbo rap beat again). Only thing is that he really needs to chill with the "ugh" adlibs.
-
like the other track - nice beat, jay-z sucks. hook is horrible too.
-
Maybe BP3 leaking soon?
-
I'm thinking somewhere from Thursday to Sunday.
-

LMAO, the most stupid adlibs ever.
-
yeah sometimes Tim's adlibs/beatboxing do fuck up his tracks, like the beat he did for Jeezy on The Inspiration
-
Don't like the beat atall and Jays real average on this, its better than the other Timbo track but still it's nothin special :( and what is up with the hook :-X
-
"Young Hov, tell them Ordinary Joe's Budden up"
Shots At Joe Budden ?
-
sound like storch beat ???

Shots At Joe Budden ?
Either that or some clever wordplay
-
this sounds better than the track with drake IMO....like the beat and the flow better, good shit
-
sounds like a rushed album so far
-
awful...how does drake blow up he's wack. makes me sick the way marketing is in hip hop. what u pick straws?
-
Popularity is never based on talent

remindeeeer **ughhh** remindeeeer **ughhh**

First, it was Lil Jon going "Yeeeeeeaahhh, Whaaaaaaat!", then you had TI and Jeezy throwing out the "Aaayyyyyyyyyy!" now JayZ is going off with the "Uggh Uggh"
WTF

Jay-Z's "Aaah" >>> Young Jeezy's "Yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaah/That's riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight/Eeeeeeeeyyyyy/Ooooohhh/HaaaaHaaaaa/Daaaaaaaamn" any day..
Still annoying though, lol.

I dig it. The album doesn't feel as mature as his past two releases but the subject material is pretty consistent even if it's not insanely lyrical.
-
Not feeling the beat at all sorry
subject matter is right though

Jay got shat on when he tried doing mature on "Kingdom Come", I think that put off not only himself, but a lot of rappers from tryna make that grown man shit

I know he did. In my opinion, American Gangster was just as mature. Though, it felt like a man's reflection on his past. It was deeper than Kingdom Come which was him just producing mature music for his age. To be honest, if Jay's Kingdom Come is an example of mature hip-hop shit doesn't even go that deep. It's one of my favorite albums by him but hip-hop listeners that are older need to grow up.
Note: I'm not looking for a debate on whether he's a fraud or not. At this point in his career it really doesn't matter to me.
This effort feels like he's going back to the pre black-album jay-z where he,
The music I be making
I dumb down for my audience
and doubled my dollars
They criticize me for it
Yet they all yell "Holla"
If skills sold, truth be told
I'd probably be lyrically Talib Kweli
Truthfully, I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
(But I did five Mil)
I ain't been rhyming like Common since
When your sense got that much in common
And you been hosteling since
Your inception,
Fuck perception
Go with what makes sense
Since I know what I'm up against
We as rappers must decide what's most important
And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them
So I got rich and gave back
To me that's the win, win
He's dumbing down his lyrics but his subject material is still consistent.
People complaining about the lack of Beanie or Freeway need to move on. He put them on enough.

Meh i hate when people quote that verse or do you fools listen to music or just skim through. The guy didnt come out making conscinece rap.He came out the gate talking about money and dealing and nothing else.He didnt start du,bing down after starting out great hes the same rapper he always was
-
His follow up albums until Blueprint compared to Reasonable Doubt where dumb downed so I only view it in his personal career.
I'm not even going to touch on labels. My take on music is whether I feel it or not and I dug Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, Black Album, Kingdom Come, and American Gangster. I'll probably enjoy Blueprint 3. The rest were aight.
-
Decent song, Timbo didnt impress me though. Beat is a bit repetitive. Timbaland, stop fucking with J Roc, he sucks.
-
He dumbed down his lyrics and his flow, not his content, that's what he's imlying. Moment Of Clarity is dope, Em came correct on the beat too
-
here are 2 fact
1) Jay Z Brags like there's no tomorrow
2) Jay Z= Legends of the fall off
