A list, going on what has been said so far in interviews/hype sheets etc.:
2009
Dr Dre - The Chronic Relit - Released
Snoop Doggy Dogg - The Lost Sessions - Vol.1 Scheduled for Oct 09
Untitled Death Row 4 Disc Set (Nov. Thanksgiving time)
2010
Women on Death Row (Compilation feat. Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez, and Lady Of Rage 2010)
2Pac - Pure 2Pac (Including extra DVD of unseen 2Pac footage - June 2010)
Snoop Doggy Dogg - The Lost Sessions - Vol.2
Comic Book Series
-
You forgot about Danny Boy.
-
I hope they include Jewell and Michel'le on that Women of DeathRow comp, or give those 2 thier own compilation
-
I really can't wait for that box set, that should be very interesting.
-
I'm a bit skeptical about the Danny Boy release, and Crooked's Untouchable release that has been mentioned. I doubt these will be released. If so, I think it'll be around 2011, or whenever BOSS comes out, and whether these 2 work out deals. WIDEawake don't want to just throw these projects out. They're trying to regain trust, and establish a professionally working relationship with the artists beforehand, and with Crooked on his Slaughterhouse thing, and BOSS project, and Danny doing his thing in Chicago, I can't see it being anytime soon. The rest EG: Left Eye, 2Pac, Michel'le, Rage etc. aint exactly doing anything musically recently

Danny Boy will released, that's my word. ;)

His 96 album may cause some conflicts but damn, Danny made some amount of material in 95 and 96, so I'd be glad to see a double from that period. I would like to see that women on Death Row compilation come out though, Michel'le, Jewel, Lady V, Gina Longo, Storm, NINA, VK, they had a lot of good female talent. VK is still doin' her music thing at the moment. Last time I spoke with her, she was away from home and out of pocket, and was trying to work out some kinda deal to collaborate with a friend of mine, and she was still drindin' hard. I hope she makes it onto that compilation because she was a raw female MC

Danny's stuff will be a mix of old and new records or so I was told. Photoshoot for it is apparently coming soon. I would also like to see a VK album out of Wide Awake. She was ill.
-
Yeh I heard the mix of old and new, but didn't know about the sheet though. If they are making that then I guess it's in the works
-
No need for skepticism concerning the Danny Boy release.... 90% of that album from Deathrow was produced by DJ QUIK. Nice to see a good slew of CONSECUTIVE releases by WIDE Awake. Can't wait for Pure 2pac! Nice to also see Snoop Doggy Dogg: Lost Sessions Vol.2. I wonder if there is enough original unreleased material to do a full Deathrow Dr. Dre album? How about an LBC CREW album!!! I know Ice Cube and Dr. Dre had plans to do a collaborative album called "Helter Skelter" following the release of Natural Born Killaz..... Wonder if any of that was recorded..... Hopefully WIDE Awake has plenty more jewels and gems up their sleeve...
-
good to see wideawake is finnally gettin all this old classic material out there from dre, snoop and his camp, and ofcourse the original 2pac tracks

That is what i'm waiting for. Regarding N.I.N.A., is there really anything more after that FTP bootleg? Maybe a couple of tracks.
The woman compilation should be good but I wish they would just put out individuals albums like Jewell's and Michel'le's Single Black Female.
-
Yeah its time they released the unreleased catalogue not just rereleases. They have tons of albums by tons of good artists.
-
Good to see that all these projects are going to be released.. propz to WideAwake for doing something that should be done years ago!

Don't forget Nancy Fletcher...from Too Tight, or the unreleased lil bow wow album, lol
-
No dogg pound planned as of yet ? Or will that be part of the 4 disc set ?
-
^^ yeah i was hoping for a dogg pound release maybe dogg shit or westcoast aftermath but im glad regardless, wideawawe are the best, i just hope these projects will keep flowing.
-
Yeah its time they released the unreleased catalogue not just rereleases. They have tons of albums by tons of good artists.
Ron Winters productions were specifically there to "distribute" the current catalouge through out the UK and Europe. Which is why we seen releases like The Chronicle from Dr Dre, 2Pac - Prophet, Snoop - Tha Dogg, Best of the works etc etc. It wasn't down to Death Row/Suge themselves. Koch put out a lot of the material like singles collection, and 3rd parties the Death Row party compilation, and Fellowship of the great.
If anything you can see that Death Row themselves still put out new material in the later days:
Dogg Pound 2002
Dysfunktional Family
Crooked I Mixtape
Kurupt Against The Grain
House of Blues video footage (with accompanying soundtrack) - a lot previously unseen/unheard
Plus the hype tracks, and 2Pac remixes, and albums were there for the time being... It wasn't tooooooo bad, just a bit frustrating at times

Dogg Pound - That Was Then This Is Now (double cd with old on one cd and new on other cd)

Got shelved. (I think.) I believe that's Danny's project now.

Haha, only at times.

i thought danny boy had an entire album produced by quik that would supposedly still sound fresh today. no problem believing that, but i hope they put it all out if its really a completed album. we gotta hear ALL those quik records one way or another ;D
-
A lot of promising things.
I really look forward to hearing some of that vintage 90's sound again.
-
Don't forget Nancy Fletcher...from Too Tight, or the unreleased lil bow wow album, lol
Lil Bow had a Deathrow record? I know the story of him meeting Snoop as like a 4 year old, but never knew he recorded anything on Deathrow, I always assumed Snoop passed him along to J.D., before any recordings....
-
Very interested to see what's going to be on that 4 disc set, hopefully alot of gems!
-
Dre needs to stop being a bitch and clear his vocals, BRING ON OG NEXT EPISODE already

Correct!!
As for the 4 Disc set. They should do it in actual constructive methods, rather than random order - such as:
Disc 1: DPG (Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, Soopafly)
Disc 2: R&B (Jewell, Danny Boy, Michel'le, Lady V, Jodeci etc.)
Disc 3: Rarities (Mac Shawn, CPO, Above The Law, 2nd II None etc.)
Disc 4: 2nd Generation (Crooked I, NINA, J.Valentine, Tha Realest, Petey Pablo etc.)
^^^^^
That way it keeps everything simple, and categorized, so that if anyone is feeling a particular time, or style they could just select whatever CD they want to put in the car rather than having 4 discs worth of random shyt that have people needing to carry the 4 discs with them
-
I'm hoping we get to hear some Untouchable-era Crooked I on that 4 Disc set.

Could you shed some light on what to expect from that multi disc set you announced? How much on there will be unreleased music?
•
[Lara Lavi] One disc greatest hits, two discs rare and unreleased, one disc amazing DVD stuff
Full interview soon on hiphop-jam.net

As a woman, I’m personally very excited about Lisa. We’re sitting on more than an album’s worth of stuff of hers and I think that people are going to love this. We’re going to put a few things out of hers, the box set to start teasing people but when the whole thing comes out I think it is going to be terrific''
-
There better be some unreleased Soopafly on there!

I don't think he had enough for a whole record, but he definitely had tracks listed on the asset list from around 94-96 i believe. I'm guessing they weren't that great or else it seems like they would've ended up on one of their soundtracks/comps.
