Title: i hope BISD takes the "forever king/War Angel" direction
Post by: BiggBoogaBiff on October 18, 2009, 02:28:14 PM
i loved that mixtape.  "get the message" was clearly one 50's greatest songs of all time.  bisd should b that flame tho, 50 rarely disappoints (even tho the singing BETTER come to an end BEFORE the album drops)

Yup. he said he was going for the GRODT direction...but i just can imagine him getting that grimy, hungry voice and flow back.

Prove me wrong 50. ;D

This album is it for 50.If this album is garbage his rap career is over and the g unit brand is dead. But if this album is hot then his career is going to be ressuerected.People still love 50 their just waiting for him to put out a good album.

yeah, as much as everybody shits on his music, when he says he's dropping something new, people just sit there and cross their fingers that it's good.

i got the faith for this one. 8)

do you mean get the money?

forever king was cool but i didnt really like the rnb singing part of it.......

r&b singing was the whole thing... all forever king was was fif freestyling over old newjack swing tracks

sounded good but that's not what I want from a full album. one newjack swing track would be good though, they need to bring that back

100% with you on that. But, i'm not sure what to think of it yet. I have no clue what direction the album is taking. Get Up, I Get it In and Ok, You're Right were good, in my opinion, of course ;D Baby by me is alright...radio friendly. But this wasn't what i was expecting from him going back to his GRODT style. Plus they aren't doing much promotion and the album is dropping in a month.

I hope i'll be pleasantly surprised, because as it was mentioned earlier, if 50 doesn't do well with this album, it's over for him. And we can forget about another G-Unit album, a Banks album, and... a Yayo album ...lol.

you know 50 has to release some singles, it's not my concern; it's the rest of the album.

but this is the first 50 Cent album that doesn't have a HUGE single.

GRODT - In Da Club
The Massacre - Candyshop
Curtis - I Get Money
BISD - ?

nothing is doing nearly as good as though three; how desperate will 50 get to have a successful single? that is my concern.

yeah and you look at his proposed singles

GET UP>>>>>>in da club and candy shop and i get money
I GET IT IN>>>>in da club and candy shop and i get money

and these wack neyo joints hes releasin now

get up was the best...he slept on that 1 (when its the fans or the labels usually)
he should have pushed that more

in da club and candy shop are wack IMO compared to other singles

That joint was hard body, Fif on his murder shit on that one haha...

Like Cham said, this album is make or break for Fif, I've got high hopes though...

How did Fif sleep on "Get Up", he had the track banging on his mtv show, performed it on BET, the fans and radio just didn't lap it up. Track was straight fire though

50's weakness IMO is him doin his own hooks..sounds like hes singin and thats a bad look
and for some reason I LINE N*GGAS stands out where him doin the hook isnt quite as bas as others
IMo its cuz of the radio shit he be tryna do where as the street shit he does wit hooks is aite

and yeah IMO get up is his best song in a minute, why he wouldnt push that...he on crack thats why...he scared of jimmy

Yup Get Up was great. The hook wasn't too corny, his verses were good and the beat was tight.
Okay you're right, was a banger too,,,i like the beat, 50 could have done a better job.

And Cham, that's exactly what i was saying...his album is due out in a month and still no buzz, no (proper) single. Something is wrong... i mean Dre's beats are on point. ( I get it in, Ok You're right) 50 sounds like he just doesn't feel like it anymore.

Well it had a video and pushed to outlets.I just remember the song coming on in the club and that shit was like kryptonite tot eh dancefloor. And it wasnt just a 50 thing because in the same night theyd play i get money and people would love it.

I think a collection of people on this forum is the only people that liked the song.

it just didn't take off.

songs like that don't work anymore.

requirments for a successful single are as follows:

1. Autotune
2. Lil' Wayne or Drake feature
3. no G feel to it at all.

if it doesn't have these three, it won't work.

personally, if 50 Cent made a single with a Drake hook, a Wayne verse, over a Kanye beat, 50 still wouldn't sell that much on this album.

he should just give us his best G'd up stuff & move on & go back to the drawingboards & come back in a few years.

To me talking codes and get the message from war angel were some of the best songs 50's done in years!! even lyrically he was much better on this.

"Cock it bang it and get rid of that
hit his fitted cap
he wont get a chance to twitter that
my ruger sing a song bullets hum to you
better have god with you when i come to you"

Die nigga die
fly pelican fly
when i pull it eat a bullet dont question me why
its the law of the jungle
ill show you what the gun do

^^ That shit is wack a bunch of "hollow tips, my heart turned cold, clip, ruger...". No substance whatsoever plus he has done this type of tracks 100x before and better might I add. He needs to show growth and reinvent himself every time he drops an album. He did that with GRODT (street shit mixed with catchy club singles) and Massacre (his peak as a songwriter, every song on the LP could've been a single) and it's no coincidence they both sold so well. Then you got Curtis which sounded like a poor recycled mix of those 2 albums.

I agree with you on everything but lacking substance.  It has substance. It's not great or anythign but it is substance.

I wasnt talking about substance was i? i said he stepped up lyrically, in terms of his word play improved ten fold on those records from curtis.

Whether you agree or not in my opinion those track were the best ive herd fropm 50 in a long time. Production and lyrics wise.

Title: 50 says new LP is prequal to get Rich or die trying

I know theres a few 50 threads already but thought id post this. Not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing lol

He seems to have a bit of a buzz i.e concerts interviews etc but theres no buzz about the music. I think he needs to leak an album track as well as baby by me to get a bit of hype going.
