Bishop Lamont will be the next big thing if Aftermath push him with a Dre single.
-
Nipsey Hussle
-
I think Nipsey has the most buzz behind him.

hussle
-
nipsey theres no question
-
Only new rapper i like is Nipsey Hussle .. He is next to blow up South Central State Of Mind album coming soon
-
No one on this list is going to blow. Matter of fact, there is no next big thing from the west period.
-
nipsey theres no question
Bishop Lamont is SURELY a question lol.
Bish & his Dre production, the Nipsey & then the dude HopSin spittin' that fire. 8)
-
From southern Cali Clinton Wayne and nocal locksmith two dudes who bring lyrics and are both underrated and talented artist...
-
Anyone who isn't on Detox ;D lol I honestly not sure who is right now I think Bishop because he's been hyped up 4 Detox/Reformation. But considering he never did shit after pushing Grow Up its up 4 grabs.
-
I think Clyde Carson has the best mainstream sound, haven't heard much from his recently tho.
-
Nipsey is doin it real big now, if he aint blowin then nobody will
-
Nipsey Hussle fa sho
-
who is backing Nipsey?
i mean, the question is who will make it big? not whose the best rapper.

In which case, none of the above.
They are currently the biggest underground artist. Bishop Lamont/Nipsey have to be the biggest. Given Dre's backing, and Nipsey just doing his own thing. In the end those 2 are most likely to blow up on the west as the new best thing. Bishop needs to drop a album.
-
YOUNG MAYLAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
hussle, ya boy, and above all else the chicano/latin rap movement as a whole. believe that
-
Nipsey, easily....Ya Boy should be added to the list tho, dude is sick!
-
I say Kaizer Sose will take it :o
and no one will see it coming.

2Pac ::) Think about it, always has new music coming out, talking about real shit. How can't he blow up??? ::)
-
ha ha
-
forgot bout bishop..... i think he gonna get droppd real soon..and dude is too old..
-
Clyde Carson has the most mainstream potential from all of them dudes but like others - noone is backing him and pushing him into spotlight which is a damn shame..
-
Nipsey Hussle has the most buzz out of all at the moment, he's liable to be the next "Big Thing." If Detox should come out, Bishop Lamont and Slim da Mobsta have their chance. Can't say much for the rest though.
BWS has never released and album, and should it release one I doubt Clyde Carson could blow even if Game supported him. Plus I can't help but think of 40 Glocc and G. Malone as just being the west-coast representative for their labels and nothing more.
But Ya Boy, Roccett and Ca$his should be added to the list. Roscoe Umali has a chance as well since the guy's name has been spreading around Korea since he collaborated with Drunken Tiger.

They do in a sense that he's some unknown character that came out of nowhere and the way he rapped you'd think he's been in the game for years. Never really paid attention to this guy TBH, dude's verses were wack on DT's album and it feels like his name is a rip-off of Roscoe's.

nipsey theres no question
-
nipsey, dude has major players behind him, i mean he preformed at bet..only one from the west if im right, snoop knows that , u can see that he only fucks seriously with relevant dudes that got major behind them (Game, now Nipsey)
-

BWS is a joke - don't ever consider it as a label bro.. Capitol on the other hand ain't doing shit for Clyde! Dude had 3 hot singles that would have been really big but they all flopped because there was no promotion going on..
-
The homie King of the Desert Clinton Wayne is a lyrical monster versatile as fuck I dont think theres no one as varsatile as him.
-
Jay Rock is the only one off that list i've heard on the radio.
i mean, it only made it because he had Wayne on it (All My Life), but i mean still got play.
-
Bishop? Please even with Dre's backin he hasnt even made a single noise outside maybe a small area in LA.
its def Jay Rock or Nipsey
did someone say 40 glocc? LMAO 1st of all the nigga is older than 30 2nd dont nobody care about dude. Is a bigger atention whore than 50.
-
Bishop? Please even with Dre's backin he hasnt even made a single noise outside maybe a small area in LA.
he's put out a few mixtapes.
wait until he puts out an album, if he does; can't be sure he will.
with the Aftermath back, his album will EASILY make him the biggest name out of these rappers named in this thread.
his single will be monster; maybe it won't sell, but it will be heard.
-
Jay Rock is the only one off that list i've heard on the radio.

I respect Jay Rocks grind but I don't think he's going anywhere lol.

naw i doubt it cuz even though fans are brainwashed as hell these days they still decide who and who not to fuck with (musically)
and bishop might have a few dope joints here and there but overall he lacks that charisma and the music most people enjoy. im not sayin dude is lyrical, but just sayin that u can rap 10000 bars but at the end of the day
hows the MUSIC?
he doesnt have what a Jay Rock, a Nipsey or even any of Dre's proteges have like 50, Snoop Game Em etc...
and NO NO NO im not comparing anybody to each other so chill out...and im not sayin that u have to be a super gangster rapper in your songs...but still, dude lacks something compared to the other rappers
-
^charisma is what he lacks, but that's okay.
because i can see him making songs that nobody will hear, but songs that will be better than 50 & Game ever made.
i fuck with deeper tracks, if Bishop makes more songs like "I Can't Figure It Out", he could be one of the dopest.
but it's still a losing situation for Bishop, those songs won't sell.

"who is the next BIG thing from the west"
"i can see him makin songs that nobody will hear....those song wont sell"
lmao @ this goofy whiteboy ;D
i mean if ure trying to be a shock poster be good at it cuz it aint working tbh

? don't look to argue for the sake of arguing because you're upset i don't love your boyfriend lol.
his singles will make him a bigger name than anybody in this thread, with the Math back.
but his best songs & most of the songs off of his albums won't be heard.
he'll be like Joe Budden, making mad good music, but known for one major single.
Nipsey got talent, but he is just another Westcoast internet rapper, you need back to make a name for yourself in this industry; just look at your boyfreind, he would be the same way if Dre never co-signed him.
-
oh its clearly daz

nah ....dont think so...havnt heard a lot from nipsey so i really dunno wut he can do....
and nipsey wont go platinum like game.

But how much material did Game put out before The Documentary? Only G-Unit 8: The Fifth Element (unless you knew about the guy before he met Dre) while Nipsey Hussle's put out SB1 Bullets 1, 2 & 3. He's been on songs with artists the average rap-fan knows about like Slim Thug, 2Pac and Drake. I think he'll at least go gold.
just another Westcoast internet rapper
But can't the same be said for them all then? I mean no one even focused on Crooked I until he appeared on the source a second time, which was the result of a song he put on the internet.
-
what about crooked i? that guy been buzzin on the underground for over a decade.. he gonna blow up!!! for sure!!
-
BIG JOE IS>......................HAHA CHECK ME OUT!

they are all internet rappers, but if you look at who has the best back to make it big, it has to be Bishop.
he's got more back then the rest.
& for the record, Crooked is still an internet rapper, but if him & Slaughterhouse head over to Shady, he could sort of blow up.
even though, nobody making actually rap is going to blow up anymore.
-
Neighborhood Nip is up next!
-
Nipsey Hussle for sure!!!

No one's going to blow up, end of story.

I get what your saying, though if Bishop Lamont being signed to Aftermath alone is the best back then Slim da Mobsta being signed to G-Unit & Shady as well as Aftermath could make him the next 50 Cent (coarse he could just flop and become the next Stat Quo).
But yeah Bishop's got a backing that's definatly better than what Ca$his & Ya Boy (the only other rappers signed to stable labels I could come up with) have got.

yeah, Ca$his has good back too.
but Shady doesn't push him & i doubt they ever will.
a Bishop Lamont album will have one of those club bangers on it & it could make him a big name.

Nipsey is basically "alone",and he got already more buzz than bishop and all the other new ones together...

but his style will NEVER take off mainstream.

you said that bishop got more back (with aftermath),to me it looks like nipsey got more chances to blow up even without a name like aftermath on his back and i'm not talkin about 'the internet',but in general.
I can see nipsey in the same position of The Game few years ago,and now we can say that game has moved some significant steps in the mainstream...

i never followed Game before he got on the Math, but i did know him once he hit the Math.
i hear Nipsey doing a lot of G'd up song & i hate to admit it, but that isn't going to sell. :-X
i've heard Bishop do club banger tracks, i know with the proper Dre beat it could be unreal.
even though he probably won't do well either, it would still probably wouldn't do much.
i guess the best bet is to say none of these guys are going to make it big lol.
-
nipsey all the way
-
i got to say Kali have u heard his shit i go to www.myspace.com/therealkali to listen to his music that nigga is sick

unless a major label scoops him up, i don't see his underground sound is going to fly well with the radio.
his current music wouldn't sell, even though it's good.
he would need to sell out like the rest of rap if he wanted to do Game numbers.
