-
i was bumping doggystyle this morning on my way to work. that album will never get old, not even with $10 head phones.
-

The studios are too. I got to save up some money for those.
-
yeah the tours are some of the best IEM's available. monster has a pretty good lineup now with the monster turbines also
but for $350 you can get alot better headphones than the monster beats studio (over the ear). if they were like $150 it would be a good price, but they're way over priced and not worth it right now
-
Will they go inside a CD Player?

the one thing you can do if you have the beats in ear phones is get yourself some of the comply foam tips to replace the rubber tips you get with the beats when you buy them
the comply are foam tips so they make a better seal for your ears, pretty much makes the noise reduction 100%

Ultimates are good, Shure is about top of line as far as in the ear. They have some that are 500 bucks.
-
if i was going to drop $350usd on a pair of headphones i'd go for;
Audio Technica ESW9 (closed)
Audio Technica AD1000 (open)
Grado Hf-1 (open)
those will all work well without a (portable) amp. those aren't noise cancelling however. noise cancelling fucks with the sound too much as you'll find most people saying
changing the batteries every 24hours is wack also

I have the Snoop Skullcrushers. The in-ear subwoofers are really dope. The sound is really great on those also. I couldnt get myself to spending the dough to get the Dre Beats.
-
i had skullcandy before,4 months of usage and they broke! sound quality was good tho
-
(http://www.01pro.lv/images/Sennheiser-CX-300-II-Precision.jpg)
75 USD, got both pairs I have for half tho.
They break easily but I have a 2 year warranty, both have only been send in once in 6 months.
And I use them like 8 hours a day.

Has anyone heard the new Beats By Dre the Solos? They are a lil smaller then the studios, probably comparable to the Snoop headphones. They are about 100 bucks cheaper. Have not heard those yet. Yeah and the Sennheisers are dope also.

The Solos are like a mini version of the Studios, but the sound is still excellent - just doesn't have the booming bass you get from the OGs.

Which one, Snoop's or the in-ear one?
-
I dunno the ear buds that came with my Sony touch do the job pretty gosh darn good. Headphones that cost that much psssh. I can pay an escort to do a line of coke off my erect penis for less. As a matter of fact still have enough left to bump a rail off her titty myself.

in-ear the smokin' bud

Checked out the Solos and they sound great. 179 at Best Buy.

in-ear the smokin' bud
Oh, okay. You had me worried for a while, I just got the Snoop one for Christmas and I was hoping it would last at least 10 months before breaking :D.
-
My skullcandy headphones have been great for me
-
Ended up picking up the Studios thru my PT job for half off directly thru Monster. Found the Solos for about a hundred also so I might get those too. The earbuds are off the chain.

-
Got the lady friend the Lady Gaga Version of the earphones. They sound pretty good. I'm gonna purchase the studio beats as soon as i can. Would like to get the dre signiture ones more than anything
-
studios were reduced to £159.99 on play.com the other day for one day only. was really tempted but i want to hear what the spins are like in comparison. done a ton of research on new over ears to purchase and seems like the studios have quite a few pros and cons for me:
+ comfort - looks like they fit around the ear well, seal nicely and could be worn for long durations comfortably.
+ sound sig - supposedly awesome bass (very important to me) and a good detail on the rest of the spectrum. somewhat dark/muddy compared to higher quality sets, which i prefer.
+ easy to drive.
- noise cancellation and batteries. produces extra low level sound and cannot be turned off. one more thing to break, cannot be used without batteries.
- leakage - supposed to leak a lot.
- variable quality. supposedly there can be a real difference between one set and the next. some are great and balanced, others not so much. not sure why this would be the case (quality control, driver/enclosing manufacturing) but i have read this is definitely the case.
- limited soundstage.
- vastly overpriced.
anyone with a set care to comment on some of that? would be helpful...

Yeah you are pretty much spot on with your research. For me at least the sound quality trumps any and all cons it has. I have heard alot of people say at high volumes the sound does bleed out and people can hear the music. As far as the price, I have seen 3 or 4 other brands and their top of the line noise cancelation heaphones are around the Beats price.
-
hmmm i will have to try them. if i love the sound then that is pretty much more important that anything else. that and the comfort factor may win me over against other sets. noise cancellation is a non-issue though, i'll be comparing against other over ears as opposed to other noise cancellation sets. a good seal is more than enough for blocking out external noise, i don't know who thought it would be a good idea to make NC compulsory when using the beats.
for that reason definitely waiting to hear what the opinions are on the spins, but any sniff that the bass isn't as good or anything and i'll get the studios next time there is a fat reduction...
-
the sound quality and comfort is amazing.I wear them around 3 hours a day and Ive never been more satisfied with a pair of headphones.I listen to a variety of music from classical to hip hop to jazz to metal and everything sounds great.

Got my Studios today. :o

Got my Studios today. :o
Observe and report!

I love listening to my studios, especially with hip hop and orchestral movie soundtracks (Dark Knight OST - the shit). They are by far my favorite pair of headphones to listen to music for fun. That being said I work with sound for a living and do not use them at work. The bass response can be too flattering for whatever you're working on, providing an unrealistic image of what it'll sound like on other systems. All that means though is that they are so kick ass they put a lot of other music devices to shame. If you are buying these headphones for listening and not for editing/producing, they are by far some of the best headphones you can buy.

Incredible. Great investment. Bass is insane and the high and mids are crisp. Gotta listen to 2001 on these.
