we could of rebuilt the entire country from the ground up, before the quake. now that the quake hit, all that money wont do shit except fatten some bastards pockets and maybe restore it to the shithole it was.
seriously, considering how bad that place was, the money would have seriously given it a major face lift.

not really....a lot of the buildings woulda stayed standing, thus preventing a lot of the deaths.

its a cool technology, but not every building has that. but the cali building codes make it so most buildings will be ok during a strong quake.
haiti had/has no building codes.

im saying that haiti was a shit hole before the quake. now its a bigger shit hole and all the money pouring in will only restore it to the shit hole they once knew, if theyre lucky.
if all the hundreds of millions of dollars that are now pouring into haiti would have been used before and made it so that the new buildings had some type of regulations then it might have prevented a lot of deaths.
