True. But 13 of the 17 tracks were not just leaked but released to retail on Kurupt's "Against the Grain," album. Only 3 of the 17 tracks were leaks only, with the remaining 1 track being a totally unreleased song. Also, I can't confirm this with 100 percent certainty, but there were rumors that this entire album was put together with mp3s from John Hyland's collection. And if that is the case, you really wouldn't be getting retail album sound quality, anyway.
I guess what I'm saying is, for anyone who didn't already own, "Against the Grain," maybe this would be worth checking out. But for anyone else, it just seems like it would be a waste of money.

In celebration of this shitty release, here's an ultra clean version of Throw Bacc Muzik:

No he doesn't. One thing we ALL want is Crooked I's unreleased albums. They keep giving us these dumbass albums that nobody wants and nobody is going to buy.

Up-to-date?
"Against The Grain" dropped in 2005 and the rest of the songs have been readily available online since 2007.
Anyway I can't wait for them to drop a Crooked I album and fuck us over by combining Crooked's songs from the following projects...
WestCoastNostra Vol. 1
Dysfunktional Family
Say Hi To The Bad Guy (FTP Bootleg)
+
One never before heard song (unless you just became a fan in the last month).
:-X >:( :'(

Propz for the drop. Now I don't have to download this garbage to get this song :D
-
Id be interested to see how much this sells as anyone who would buy it already has the tracks.
-
wasnt there supposed to be a unreleased track with pac?
i read all the bio on the release and was looking foward to that
-
haha
i never put a cd faster into the recycle bin

Word. I'm disappointed in myself for even downloading it.
-
Just for 4 new tracks nvm...
They should've put atleast 10 on there

Yeah and if you have checked out those bootlegs that leaked, only one of these tracks is new.
-
which songs were unreleased?
-
I dled Against The Grain long ago. weren't some of these also on the EP (EP had No Vaseline PT. 2 also). IMO This is some weakass shit lol Even to the Average fan who actually bought Kurupt and even gave a shit about a old rapper, they'd believe this is some bullshit release cause 1. They own the album and 4 songs??? lmao that's some bullshit. Only reason The Chronic Re-lit wasn't such a horrible failure on this scale cause it was 7tracks and it had a DVD featuring videos/a previously unreleased interview. IMO This and The Chronic Re-Lit clean (Which only had 1 bonus) is pure bullshit. Its like people who rebought it cause it had "Bitches Aint shit" on there. No ones paying for half-ass crappy releases. Death Row is a peace of shit now, even with Suge Knight at least there was GOOD shit being made, but now there isn't anything being made, and nothing is getting released and since nothing is being made, nothing can fucking leak now so in the end Death Row is pretty much and a full standstill now. fuck......So much good shit there in the vaults and they're just shitting on it even more with these crappy releases.
-
which songs were unreleased?
"Put This Money Right There" was the only one that wasn't leaked yet. Seriously if you go to a record shop and see an album with that cover and with a name like "Down And Dirty", people probably won't even believe that it's an "official" release.

Looking at that cover idk why it seems like some bitches CD going for that Pop/bad girl look lol Seriously, Why not have some sorta unreleased Photo of Kurupt on it and photoshop it. What they can't even afford that??? I mean the lost sessions was a piece of shit cover and the fans made a better 1 with photoshop. Still worse release is the boxset. IMO the way NBK was release is just not right.
Only thing i'm looking forward to is Ladies of Death Row/Danny boy. Even though, I'm betting they'll just take Jewell & MichelleTracks from there albums/various soundtracks and Lady of Rage tracks from her debut/afro puffs/soundtracks.10 bucks say the Danny Boy shit is 12 tracks long contains all the shit from soundtracks, and then only 1 unreleased song, that's probably already available in full CDQ on the net.
-
It's over for Wide Awake. Are they just gonna be releasin' new albums even though they ain't makin' any money?
-
They should have released old Kurupt. They would get more sales with that then with this crap. If this had I Don't Bang No More on then I would buy it just for that one track.
-
question about "Put the money right there"
Was someone taken off the track? I find it weird there's about 40 seconds of just the beat starting around the 2:40 mark. It sounds like a big enough chuck of time for someone to have a verse before Petey Pablo's.
-
what other cd's have they put out?
-

Snoop Dogg's "Lost Sessions" and that Box Set, i don't think they have released anythin' else.

Oh yeah, i knew i forgot about some release. All of their releases have flopped, i really wonder how long they will be releasin' stuff.

till E1 pulls the plug i guess

And that 3 track sampler for "Record Store Day," although admittedly that wasn't much of a release.

I ordered re-lit in september, the store got it in january..
So I declined on buying it.

The 3 track sampler was a bullshit thing. Crooked I's track I already got, Petey Pablo's was just fucking funny as hell though and sorta sorryass Danny Boys imo was alright. outta all of em I kept the Danny boy track (never was a fan of Petey Pablo.

It definitely wasn't anything special. Although it was free, so I can't complain too much about that one. I think it was actually the first opportunity people got to hear "Hoodstar," as I don't believe the FTP version had leaked yet. The Petey Pablo track was already available though on the FTP album (The "Same Eyez On Me" one, if I'm not mistaken), just under a different name. It wasn't much of a release, but I still find it more interesting than the "Against the Grain: Buttcrack Edition."
-
i didnt bother loading this bullshit but have you seen the cover?
i dont see how they could have made this project any shittier
-
Makes me curious to see what their next release will be now. Could you imagine if it was worse than this one? :o
-
haha what project could that be tho? lol

All Eyez On Me, ON 1 DISC!
-
"put this money right there" credit???producer????
-
Hyland is hinting that its going to be a Danny Boy release on there forums
-
It seems that Wideawake continue Death Row politcs realasing already released music like those The Very Best Of The Greatest Hits Vol.22 (Chronic Re-lit, Against Tha Grain & Ultimate Box-Set with few unreleased songs) and one unheard album in like 5 years (Lost Sessions Vol.1)
-
They will probably do this in between a lot of unreleased releases. IE: putting out repackaged albums for steady income without wasting the unreleased tracks. This release was a waste of time though. They would have been better re-releasing Doggystyle with the G'z up, Hoes Down song on there
