Um, I know Kanye is mad annoying in interviews and stuff, but Kanye definitely has more substance in a lot of his rhymes than most mainstream rappers. His music has been a breathe of fresh air....he has never killed anyone on wax, doesn't talk about pimpin or selling drugs...........
Drake? his reliance on auto-tune is mad annoying, but he makes catchy hooks all the same. I have very slowly warmed to him, but still don't quite get the popularity. I'm really hoping he will surprise the hell out of me, but him being part of Cash money scares the shit out of me

LoL my exact thoughts. People also hate cause he fucks with Wayne and Kanye. But guess what, those niggas are talented, Wayne spits stupid shit, but u gotta love it, some of it is clever worldplay, and some of it is hillarious when you're drunk. Kanye makes killer beats. and he spits real, egocentric shit we can all relate to.

maybe one of the last mainstream hip hop acts but cudi, tech n9ne are gaining alot of popularity aswell.. but theres still a ton of MCs realesing quailty music that dont try and make it to that platform such as zion-i, the grouch from the west... REKS and a shitload of others from the east... not to mention the legends that still keep hip hop alive such as bun-b, dj quik, nas..

Drake's choruses are usually off beat, similar with Forever. But they are catchy as fuck. Anyways, about the track he definitely went the safe route but it works imo. I can definitely see this one becoming a huge hit. Catchy chorus, monster beat from Boi 1-Da and Drake did his thing and rode the beat well (especially the second verse). Only thing is that it sounds more like an intro track than that first official single but Drake got so much buzz right now it won't really matter.

yeah, i shared it with a few friends who are basically mainstream listeners & i haven't heard anything but great things about this song.
it'll blow for buzz reasons, but like you said, it doesn't sound like a hit.

After the first listen, the first few seconds were mehhh but im liking it a little more ... beat is original, this will grow on us, for sure. This is probably gonna be a single that builds a little buzz and they are probably gonna hit us with that Jay-z Collabo right before releasing the album !

Yeah K-OS is ten times the artist drake is,but hes the type that doesnt give a shit about sales.Drake ison par with belly as far as canadian rap in my eyes.I dont believe the hype with him,I can see the people that think lil wayne is the best rapper loving him but other then that.He can do a pretty decent hook but his rapping is borderline atrociously bad.I cant stand his voice when he raps and his lyrics are sub par.
And I have to laugh at the guy thinking proof was trash,you obviously havent listened to him without hate in your heart for d12.They get a bad rep for whatever reason but proof was nearly the emcee eminem was,Kuniva gets crimiinly slept on,you cant tell me you dont laugh when they do their back and forths with him and kon artis.Bizzare is terrible but at least he knows it and is entertaining.Swifty is pretty average though.

Yeah K-os is dope, he just hasn't hit the right place at the right time. I can only see him blowing up if he gets a spot on a movie soundtrack, because "blowing up" on radio or mtv means you need to make gay music for tools.

this shits not bad at all, its not exacty amazing but i can see it growing on alot of people. I see drake getting heard all the time at the moment and like someone else said, he took the safe route and while its not a whoa track, it wont loose him any fans.
Beats nice, his style of rappin is actually growing on me. I never minded his voice, snoops got a high pitched voice and its arguebaly the best and most unique voice in hiphop and while drake is kinda nasal, i dont mind it at the moment.
I wont hate on this joint.
