Butch Cassidy's solo version of "So Gangsta" is better, Snoop didn't really add much to it.. kinda old track, but at least no tags this time.

This album should be offered as a free download to everybody who threw cash out the window for MIW, at least there's 4 good tracks on here, MIW was pure garbage.

The way Snoop raps and sounds on Protocol cant be fucked with, dude could easily be the hands down greatest if he stuck to this formula

best version of protocol yet 8)

bass is cleaner like the video version and the extra high drum sound...

and they beefed up on the bass on this version of 'so gangsta', although snoop was not needed on this track ;d 8)

This is an insult to fans. This and MIW are just a bunch of random throwaway tracks thrown together, songs that are old and songs hes just added himself to.Let the failure of priority begin, next up the 15 copies of mac shawns album.

It will be a double disc, 1 disc being the crap we've heard so far and another one being straight westcoast shit because snoop will realize only that will sell his records

If I was Snoop, I'd be ashamed to call it an album. Doesn't even feel like an album. Even with all his poor releases in the past, they still felt like albums. MIW felt like it was just chucked together and made in about 5 minutes.

Actually to be fair it had some decent tracks, id still go back to and listen to

Vato
Candy
Gangbangin 101
Boss Life
Round Here
Imagine

Possibly thats the shit.

At a push thats 8/9 tracks out of 20 which is definitly a lot better than some of snoops efforts but thats not what id call a good album. Id be looking to still be able to listen to it without skipping or at a push only skipping 3-5 tracks out the 20 to class it as a good album.

Yeah I feel you. The prices in Europe are 2/3 times higher than in the US. Around 20 euro is normal for an album in Europe. I've read an article today in the paper that some major companies in the US are going to sell albums for $7,99 from now on. That's 5 euro lol. So if you are smart you should get a Paypal account and import every album. That's what I'm doing. By the way... The More Malice iTunes bonus tracks are US only  :-X

I refuse to pay for bonus tracks, you buy the album somewhere and then they put bonus tracks out elsewhere so you spend more money, its a scam.

People like Snoop and Em putting out accompanying albums to their actual releases are just starting some new scam to make more money and piggy back their album release.

What I don't get is that MIW was wack. More Malice - a recycled MIW with some extra shytties was even wacker, yet this forum are promoting it with that annoying drop down banner like it's the long awaited Detox or something. I can think of 20 other albums to put up there than this BS... They (staff) themselves know fine well this is straight up BS

I know - on a fairly accurate basis - how much it costs to run active message forums, and sites with high daily web traffic. Dubcc is no different. I'm not some clueless simpleton & advertising covers costs, but not enough to build and secure web payments on. The album itself, which is a revamped MIW wont sell a significant amount of numbers. It's a shat out release with a few dull bits added on to recoup costs and to try and gain a little profit

They all know it. Dubcc's greater goal should be to promote and encourage the Westcoast's strength and optimistic Hip Hip, not to be all balls over on some laughable joke of re-release. Publications, as well as busy music forums all play a part, especially in a web-dominated era of music

mickaveli2001 ......see this is where your missin the point....whether the album is dope, wack, pop, flop etc...it dont matter
the label and others involved in the album itself pay for this service...they are hopin it will help sell more...whether it does or not....they cant control that part cuz they didnt make the album, they are doin what they do to get peoples attention....hence the ad droppin in your face...lol
snoop isnt no low budget artist....alotta money went into his album and his entire project....much less than his other albums prolly but still they are tryna make money

Saw it today and didn't buy it. To be honest the packaging made it look like it is, a 'straight to video' film with maxi CD strapped to it.

I love Snoop but I'll wait til this gets reduced to £5 :)

In any case I picked up West Coast Blueprint and G-Files instead 8)

I'm not disagreeing on the advertising as such, and agree on the most part IE: facebook, I just think - and on a personal level - that websites, and outlets that proclaim to represent or reinforce genuine music, should do just that. Majority would agree that Snoops More Malice is a weak effort, and doesn't deserve to generate any more than something hot from a young hot and upcoming act

in order for sites to "proclaim to represent or reinforce genuine music" they need to pay bills.
it is very staright forward. its business. the ad revenue allows them to support or showcase whatever they want.
if they didn't accept revenue from lables promoting albums like snoops, there might not be a dubcnn.
which in turn means they won't be promoting what is really hot on the West.

That is the beauty of running your own shit. You do what you want and not what you can. Anyways picked MM up at Best Buy, only 7.99 along with Dinner & A Movie. Couple heaters on there but picked it up more so for the movie.

Just got this yesterday. So Gangsta was probably the only cut I listened to more than once, would've been better if Secrets wasn't taken off. That and the Mayor Hawthorne remix being on it.
