Bangladesh Calls Out Baby, "Those Young Money Artists Don't Even Know They Not Getting Royalty Money"
Producer Bangladesh has called out Cash Money Records' Baby and said he is controlling Lil Wayne and the rapper's Young Money artists.
According to Bang, Wayne is being controlled by the decisions of Birdman.
"This is why Manny Fresh don't f*ck with [Cash Money] because he never got any royalty money," he said in an interview. "That's why Baby can go around flaunting this cash, because that's everyone else's money... It's not even Wayne's fault. Wayne is not getting money. He is given money, he's not getting money. If Baby gets a million dollars he'll buy Wayne a Phantom, but that's in Cash Money's name. That 14-bedroom mansion isn't Wayne sh*t. That's why he have his own company, because he was trying to leave Cash Money and the only thing that would keep him there was [if they] gave him his own thing. But Baby still controls that. From what I've read and heard about
50's bee the most generous with his revenue (possible exception game/ issues with interscope and the handling of massace/documentary related tracks) until he decided enough was enough and the crew had to step up - that's when he fired everybody and more or less ended g-unit as huge movement
Jay-Z's always been more traditional in how he works but he's done it by the books so it's probably limited questionable activity

Not a good look if this story true, I remember in high school shortly after 2pacs death that all of his 's Cars, the majority of his jewelery, the house he was in etc, wasn't even in his name, it was all in Suges... It's hard to believe that Wayne doesn't have "lawyers watching lawyers" so his shit would stay tight. But stranger things have happened...

Let's look at it this way:
You are Spider Loc, talking to 50 Cent pre-signing.
50 Cent: I get to keep your royalties, but as long as you're signed I'll make sure you live good.
Is this a fair trade-off? Someone like Spider Loc who might not sell well, still gets taken care of..
Even if these young money artist never release an album, the exposure/networking/budget is well worth them not getting royalties. It just means they live good now, and when they get dropped they will have to continue their hustle. I think the rules are changing with nowadays game, where the labels need to keep the royalties to be able to recoup, and be able to keep funding these artists they are giving opportunities to.

Aside from the bigger stars on that roster, I'm hundred percent sure they got good lawyers and signed proper contracts.
