Some songs might get scrapped and some added.. but that is the tracklist for now ^

edit: .. HERE IS WHAT COMPLEX SAID ABOUT THE DRE PRODUCED TRACK!

"Dead People"
Produced By: Dr.Dre
Complex says: Dre laces Game with a beat that sounds like it was left off 50 Cent's The Massacre (in the same vein of "I'm Supposed To Die Tonight"), and Jayceon takes the opportunity to steal 50's style, even sounding like him on the hook (a stashed joint he wrote, maybe?). Granted, he writes from an interesting perspective—at one point he goes into the POV of a bullet like Nas' "I Gave You Power"—but it stills come off as an odd fantasy about murder.

from that list it doesn't sound like it will be a very good at all. maybe better than LAX, which was average, but maybe not. 1 dre track? that's even less than 50 got for BISD. what happened to the track with snoop and dre? the one with ashanti? and WHITE SOFT PORN? and that other joint with 1500...

game is about to score a fail with this one. my interest/anticipation on a scale of 1-10 went from a 2 to a 8 back down to a 2 again. game should just work with dj quik. he's an interscope whore.

Y'all should know that Complex is notorious for sucking off Lil Wayne & Drake.. so they're probably not the best people to review a gangsta rap album.. But we'll see what this will be like. I don't think that will be the final tracklist..

FAIL

All that talk about Dre being heavily involve (already exposed on that) Dre doing most. Back on the math (which he not) wow this guy is the next to Rick Ross on the fraud tip.
40 Glocc might have more Dre track than this cat on his next LP. lol

Interesting.... it is a rough version and Game's shit usually changes a lot so we'll see how things turn out but I am definitely hoping for at least 3 Dre tracks. Cut out the Beanie & Ross track, Diamonds and add Dre tracks & Jay Elec and Nas joint and then we're talking.

Not trying to make excuses for this album because maybe it won't be good.  But on the other hand, if this is just a rough version of the album, who knows if it even includes all of the same songs that appear on the final version.  I specifically remember Game mentioning a Dr. Dre verse on the album, so right away I'm a little suspicious that this album is not a complete representation of what the final album will be.

Complex.com got a chance to check a rough version of Game’s upcoming release, The Red Album, that’s slated to drop July 29th. Although he had a variety of producers on The Red Room mixtape that just dropped, as we feared, the album itself is dominated by Pharrell, who’s also executive producing the project. We’d have been all for it if it was Skateboard P bringing that Lord Willin’ murda music—but here it’s more of the underwhelming “Unless You’re The Clipse, Give Me Half Your Budget And I’ll Give You A Throwaway Beat” P of the last few years. At least after a few years of being estranged, Game has reunited with Dr. Dre. It’s also worth noting that the version we heard is missing two tracks: one rumored to feature Lupe Fiasco, and the other supposedly with assists from Jay Electronica and Nas. Get an idea of what The Red Album will sound like with Complex’s track-by-track breakdown.

“Infared”
Produced By: Cool & Dre
Complex says: The Compton rapper’s forays into name-dropping have recently been hit or miss, but over Cool & Dre’s 70s funk-jazz-influenced instrumental, the album’s intro is a major hit. Game drops attention-grabbing lines (“Will I ever go at Nas? Hell nah! / Will I ever go at Jay-Z? I don’t know”) and doesn’t waste a second spewing his fully automatic braggadocio. It’s an instant head-nodding banger for a kickoff.

“Ricky”
Produced By DJ Khalil
Complex says: As the title implies, it’s a reference to Morris Chestnut’s character in John Singleton’s debut film Boyz N The Hood. A saxophone intro trails up to the congo drums in the backdrop, and the track leads off as a cautionary tale about ‘hood violence—but quickly veers off into Game sucking himself off about how he remains victorious in front of gun claps. Gunshot sound effects, paired with the chanted shout of “Ricky!” make this one memorable…for its repetitiveness.

“Good, Bad, Ugly”
Produced By: Hit Boy
Complex says: Grimy keys and dark drums play the backdrop for a storytelling joint. The saga begins with the former drug dealer getting ambushed by several hostile guests with heaters, then segues to a scene where two detectives question the injured rapper. Game skillfully flips the tone of his voice, and weaves an entertaining verse when he refuses to cooperate, instead spinning out a story that’s different from what actually went down. Straight gangsta shit.

“Heavy Artillery” f/ Beanie Sigel and Rick Ross
Produced By: Street Runner
Complex says: The three self-claimed gangsters flex gun talk, murder, and their own craziness. Game even compares himself to Marshall Mathers (“Eminem ain’t Dr. Dre’s only sick nigga”).

“Diamonds” f/ Robin Thicke
Produced By: Phonix
Complex says: The version we heard featured an up-and-coming talent named K-Young, though we were told that the infectious hook would be re-sung by Robin Thicke (for the record, we didn’t mind the version with K-Young on the reference).

“It Must Be Me” f/ Pharrell
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: Certified 2002 club banger!!! We had no idea P had a Delorean.

“Ain’t No Doubt About It” f/ Justin Timberlake
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: Justified x In My Mind x Game sounding a little uncomfortable with the terrycloth-soft vibe of the track. Nothing much else to say. *shrug*

“Mother’s Womb” f/ Nelly Furtado
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: The title’s kind of gross, right? Doesn’t sound so hot, either. Game waxes poetic about all the gangsta shit he’s been up to since he’s left his mother’s womb. What better way to do that than have Nelly Furtado ride shotgun? FOH. Skateboard P brings those Neptunes key patterns that sound like a throwback to his early chart-toppers, which is both a good and bad thing. The mix we heard was rough, but Furtado’s vocals sounded good.

“She’ll Look Good To Me”
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: This one is all about bakin’ pies with a college chick. But not for her culinary class. As long as they’re of age, we always co-sign corrupting co-eds.

“When My Nigga Come Home” f/ Snoop Dogg
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: Game heads to the strip club with a close friend fresh out the joint. Pharrell provides the soundtrack for the celebration with a mix of luscious synth waves and deep, hard-hitting drums. Snoop name-drops plenty of fellow Crips, but in that nice and smooth way that doesn’t offend middle America to the point that they’ll revoke sponsorships.

“Dead People”
Produced By: Dr.Dre
Complex says: Dre laces Game with a beat that sounds like it was left off 50 Cent’s The Massacre (in the same vein of “I’m Supposed To Die Tonight”), and Jayceon takes the opportunity to steal 50’s style, even sounding like him on the hook (a stashed joint he wrote, maybe?). Granted, he writes from an interesting perspective—at one point he goes into the POV of a bullet like Nas’ “I Gave You Power”—but it stills come off as an odd fantasy about murder.

“It Must Be Tough” f/ Pharrell
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: Even though this was clearly unmixed and still has some reference vocals on it, it’s still one of the clear highlights of the album. Typical baller shit we’ve heard before, but Pharrell stunts on another level and absolutely dominates on the ad-libs and the hooks. There’s synths galore and heavy 808s that build back and forth (from low volume to high), and Game delivers a solid third verse.

“Roll My Shit” f/ Snoop Dogg
Produced By: Pharrell
Complex says: Some real G-shit, straight up and down. Game and Snoop are clearly in their element on this one. Pharrell brings his best Dr. Dre impression by using light, wavy synths reminiscent of The Chronic.

“Lost Ones” f/ K-young
Produced By: Cool & Dre
Complex says: Bonus cut that focuses on really dark themes of death and the molestation of his sister by his father. Fooled you, right? You thought it was some diss to Jigga, right?

Doesnt look too bad, def excited to hear the album.
but hope there are more tracks.

yea they'll be  probably 17 or 18 tracks like all his cds. They make it seem like pharell didn't do too bad. Heavy production from pharell i was hoping for maybe 4 pharell tracks not 8 or however many there are. Snoop on the album twice? Game will pick the better of those two songs to make it. Look forward to the dre track. Wish he had 3 or 4 thugh. Album sounds decent, which is good news becomes that lowers my expectations. Hopefully he can surpass it now. I remember the LAX review had me pumped but i ended up being let down

LOL @ certified 2002 club banger for it must be me

That is a pretty funny line.  But these guys kind of come off sounding like haters to me.  Isn't posting a review of a rough cut of an album kind of like watching a movie while it's still being shot, and then writing a review saying that the special effects sucked?
Let me put it this way, I have very little faith in this album turning out good, but I would at least give Game the benefit of the doubt and wait to review a proper version of the album rather than jumping the gun and reviewing a rough version.  I just get the impression that these guys have an agenda to torpedo Game's sales by preemptively bashing the album before they've even heard the real thing.

I enjoy the idea of Game creating a conceptual album. I.E From the first track he adopts a character and follows him through various adventures.  Shake had that kind of vibe to it and I think he'd be good at that (as long as he kept it minimal name drops).

I think having Pharrel produce the beats might be the biggest issue I have.  At this moment it sounds rather hit or miss but it's still shaping up to be better than LAX.

Im not sure about how valid this is. They made it clear that this was a rough version too. I dont think Diamonds will be on the album because it leaked and then Game just put it on Red Room after the leak. I dont see that track making the final cut at all. Plus he did another song called "Diamonds" with Robin Thicke and it was for Thicke's Sex Therapy album. If you havent heard it then youtube that shit. Its some smooth type shit.

As far as Dre goes, Game said that they have recorded a bunch of shit together, but hes not sure what hes recording it for. Meaning if its material for "Detox" (Supposed Detox) or his own album. I know that its coming close to the time when he needs to actually turn in the album to Interscope so hopefully Dre will give him the tracks he wants. Lets not forget how tight assed Dre is with his music so dont count on any of this shit happen. Look at it like a bonus if it happens but dont expect it.

Looking forward to the final product.....That article is the opinion of one man....Id rather wait and use my own judgement.

Yeah.  I'm worried about that too.  I'm not too sure how well Game's flow is going to sound over an album that's comprised mostly of Pharrel beats.  To me, having Pharrel produce a couple of the beats and gotten someone (or someones) else whose production has a more westcoast sound to produce the majority of the album, might have been a safer move.

He's comparing the Dre beat to an Eminem track from The Massacre, interesting. It was a dope beat though....

Keen to hear the 2nd track with Snoop, see how his dre style synths turn out. You can't judge an unmixed album, so gotta withhold judgement to the prodcuts in my hand

This is the L.A.X. Preview that cam out before the album and the final album was a lot different.

http://www.rapgodfathers.com/forum/rap-talk/265503-l-x-preview.html

"Ok well my final preview for L.A.X is finished. Today I had the chance to hear a majority of L.A.X via my cousin, who happens to be a co-engineer that mixed some of the tracks on L.A.X. This shyt was not official. So I really dont know any particular tracklist, so Im just going to give you impressions of each trach that I heard. There is apparently many song he recorded for the project. I mean lots. So here it goes, from the order they were played in.

Money - (prod. Cool and Dre) - I really liked this track. It seemed like a song that belonged in the movie Scarface or on Rick Ross' Port of Miami. This song is basically about money and all the things that come with it. The beat on this is crazy.

Before I Sleep - (prod. Hi-Tek) - This track is smooth. I like it better than Ol' English, which I thought was one of the best songs on the Doctor's Advocate. Game talks about death coming at random times and fearing for his life. Definately classic material.

Ya Heard Me - (prod. Nottz, feat. Ludacris) - This song is just wow. This song is straight up street material. Its a banger, no doubt about it. The Game goes in, but Luda absolutely killed this track. One of my favorite songs from the songs played.

House of Pain - (prod. DJ Toomp) - Another crazy beat. This song is a flat-out banger. The Game might be at his best in this song, rapping that hardbody shyt. I dont think this particular song has a message. If it did, i did not catch it.

Letter To The King - (prod. Hi-Tek, feat. Nas) - This might sound unbelievable, but this is better than "Why You Hate The Game". The beat is classic and the song carries a positive message. The Game and Nas rap about their appreciation of MLK and how he affected their lives. Really deep song that shows The Game's growth as an artist.

Beat Em Up - (prod. Just Blaze) - This song is heavy rip-off of 2Pac's Hit Them Up, not that its a bad thing. He basically uses Pac's flow and even some of his old lines on this song. The beat is really nice and this is a nice "change of pace" song.

Breaking Rules - (prod. Scott Storch, feat. Busta) - Its basically a Busta beat with 2 verses from The Game. Scott Storch is falling off, but this track is actually pretty nice. Busta and Game both go in about not giving a ...you knoe.

L.A.X - (prod. JR Rotem) - JR Rotem does it again! He develops another crazy beat. Game absolutely murders this track.

Angel - (prod. Kanye West, feat. Common and John Legend) - This song is a masterpiece. The beat isnt typical Kanye, but it is still nice. This is definately a standout track for me. John Legend on the hook was crazy. And of course Common did his thang. Obviously this song has a very positive vibe to it.

Camera Phone - (prod. Cool and Dre, feat. Ne-Yo) - This track is just flat out nice. Ne-Yo did great on this track, and the beat is just amazing. Its geared toward the female audience, but its dope nontheless. I dont think I need to tell you what the song is about.

Never Say Goodbye - (prod. Ervin Pope) - This is a classic!!! The beat is dope. Each verse has him rapping in the body of 3 hip-hop greats right before they die. The first verse has Game rapping like Pac, in the second he raps like Biggie, and in the third he raps like Eazy-E. He absolutely nailed them verses also. This is definately a special song. Probably may favorite.

Welcome To Compton - (prod. Cool and Dre, feat. DJ Khaled) - I think this might be on Khaled's album, but its dope anyway. The Game is basically rapping about Compton and how it shaped him. Yet another crazy Cool and Dre beat.

Fucking With You - (prod. Trackmasters, feat. Busta) - This is a crazy collabo. They did this track perfectly, Busta and Game. The beat is seductive and is the type of shyt you would play after midnight. This song is very dope.

Touchdown - (prod. 15 or Nothin, feat. Raheem Devaughn) - This beat is crazy. The sample is real smooth and funky. The Game delivers nasty verses about doing things with females. Alot of people might not like this, but I think this is some really slick shyt.

Heaven - (prod. Jelly Roll) - This beat is crazy. The Game goes so hard on this joint, but at the same time this track has a positive vibe. It shows the intelligence of The Game, and growth as an artist. Definately a standout for me.

Gentleman's Affair - (prod. JR Rotem) - Think a more mature bust it baby.

Cali Sunshine - (prod. Nottz) - Crazy beat. This song is going to get Game killed. lol. He talks shyt about alot of different people on here. This song is crazy and one of my personal favorites.

Storybook (prod. Jeff Bass) - This might be the best song on the album. The only problem is, Im hearing it might not make the album because its nearly 10 minutes long. The song is seperated into 3 chapters, with each chapter having a different story of Game's life after he is dead. Game raps on the third person the whole song. This song reminds me of a less mellow stan.

There were definately more songs, but I had to leave."

I think next these guys should review "Detox" and base their review off the five second clip that plays during Dre's dj'ing scene in that Dr. Pepper commercial.

Looks more like a Neptunes album, Pharell is all over it and brought his pop friends to the party.

Why r people acting like the reviewer is off? By content Game's been dropping from leaks to mixtape Id say the review seems consistent. Heck, I think he added a lil gravy to not embarrass Game.

Mainstream commercial whore world, here I come! Game really grabs his ankles with this one; look at those features! JESUS. To reverse paraphrase the gentleman tattooed on Games arm: Its funny how niggaz switch so quick from smokin' chronic, to wearin' lipstick at picnics.

album doesnt seem awful to me, especially since its not even the final cut. but regardless, Im a fan of Games music, so Im going to buy it anyways. if I feels its not up to par, then thats when I'll give my opinion on it, not before hand.

If you could READ, you would've noticed my wording of "reverse paraphrase" - YOU FAIL.... to read.

You cant trust previews like this.

Game is hardly going to let someone preview his album who will then say "Albums shit".
Why not? On the flip side if the reviews are positive, it helps build early anticipation for the album. Even if they're negative, it still creates awareness to people who may just disregard that person's opinion anyway.

He probably just let them hear whatever cd he had with him at the time. I bet Game is just bumping shit hes made this year trying to figure out what to use. Dont get carried away, cause this isnt final. And you cant judge a song without hearing it first.

That preview made this album sound like games version of 50's massacre, i hope shit is more coherent  :-\ I dont give a fuck about the whole use of many different producers, that shit is normal now, but its gotta have a flow, like DA...i hope it aint another LAX all mixed up

Thats one of the main things I liked about LAX. Different features, subject matter, etc but it was all dope. Showed versatility.

There were definately more songs, but I had to leave."

wow.. I never read that before. Sure its real? Preview comes from a banned user and the songs reviews sounds too random. like somethin anybody could have said.

anyway.. Id like to hear all the leftovers..

^ that preview sounded pretty legit (assuming he wrote it way before the album came out)..tracks like "money" and "never can say goodbye", he hit the nail right on the head.

i wouldn't say those tracks or much of LAX really sucks, they just aren't that good and the album has such little replay value compared to The Documentary and DA.
