Title: Lmao @ T.I. on the Xxxl magazine cover
Post by: Elano on June 16, 2010, 06:10:12 AM
LMAO @ what he say about the "king of the south"

****
Since completing his federal prison sentence, T.I. has been out to reclaim his crown as King of the South, even dropping the post-bid single "I'm Back," on which he acknowledged past mistakes but seemed intent on looking forward. But all that hasn't stopped Tip from responding to critics who argue the Grand Hustle mogul received preferential treatment in being granted what a judge described as an "experimental" plea deal.

"What people don't take into consideration is the reason that I was eligible for certain agreements that they weren't eligible for was because I made myself a useful member of society," T.I. tells XXL in the magazine's July/August issue.

T.I. was sentenced in March 2009 on felony weapons charges arising from a 2007 arrest, when he was apprehended just before a scheduled appearance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. The Atlanta rapper pleaded guilty in March 2008 and struck a plea deal: a sentence of a year and a day would be contingent upon the star paying a $100,000 fine and completing 1,500 hours of community service; 1,000 hours to be finished before entering prison and 500 after his release. Also, post-prison, T.I. agreed to submit to drug counseling, a curfew, random property searches, DNA testing and a yearlong home confinement, among other conditions of the deal.

In the cover story, T.I. says his community work was a primary factor in landing him a plea deal.

"Most muthaf---as catch cases and get time. My n---a, you wasn't doing sh-- when you was out here, so wasn't no reason for them to keep you out here."

Tip also takes on haters who have accused him of "snitching," a practice that has particularly negative connotations in the rap world — and which has proved troubling to law enforcement. The MC tells the magazine that critics should come at him with hard evidence to support their claims.

"Please understand the G code that I learned from, if you speak out your mouth that a muthaf---a is telling on somebody and you can't come with indisputable, irrefutable facts to support that statement, that makes you the sucker," T.I. said. "You are now in violation of the G code. And there ain't nobody, nowhere in naan jail sayin' I was on they paperwork."

He ain't lyin. Even legends like Scarface & Pimp C called him the king of the south. So have others like Lil Scrappy, etc. That's enough of a co-sign right there to keep the term for yourself.

Not that it means much anyways, Scarface is the GOAT

TI sold his soul to secret societies, his former dude alfamega called him out on it.

But prior to him coming out with that it was obvious TI sold out a while back...starting going with these mainstream producers, that album TI vs TIP which shows his split personalities...Its a common theme pushed on "artists" by labels and is actually a ritual symbolic of rebirth into a new personality induced by the satanists that are prevalent at the tops of major labels.

On top of all that, he is a snitch.

To me, he is not even in the discussion of who the king of the south is (actually I don't like that phrase because I don't think it can be narrowed down like that).

Peace

I'd like to say hes horrible too but i have to say hes backed up pretty much everything hes said. He has the co-signs and the track record to prove it. Like someone else said, hes been calling himself "King Of The South" since 'Trap Muzik' and whos called him out on it? Lil Flip? ended his career... Luda? sorry T.I. won that one. Another thing is, hes never let his fans down even when trying to appeal to the masses. He still has many of his fans from when he first started.

Wrong, After Luda dropped War With God, T.I. dropped Watch What You Say To Me and beat the shit outta' Chaka Zulu (Ludacris' manager) while Luda was seen doing nothing about it and actually fleeing the room. T.I. won that right there.

And like someone said, this shit is old news lol. Someone said TI been callin' himself the KOTS since "Trap Muzik" (that would be 7 years now) but its actually longer than that -- He called himself the KOTS on his very first album, I'm Serious, back in 2001 (9 years now). And that album flopped and he continued to call himself KOTS so its not even a sales thing

Alfamega is a proven snitch (not "rumored" snitch like TI, but PROVEN) so his words no longer hold weight (He is still a good artist though).

Scarface is my favorite rapper of all time and the GOAT IMO, so if he recognizes TI as the king, its all good IMO.

If you're saying that outkast is more king of the south than TI, then excellent.  I'm not the only one who feels that Outkast is the real KOTS.  Yeah it could be Scarface or UGK, haven't heard enough of their songs to decide on them.  But Outkast, yes.

He's just trying to create controversy like Lil Wayne did with his "I am Hip Hop" statement but it was more subtle and not so commanding. I think that the true reason for his rant is that he's just angry because people forgot about him when he was canned - his new songs aren't doing so well on charts.

OH SHIT MEHO AGREED, MUST BE TRUE.  Get off his dick.

King Uncaged won't sell 2 mill.  He barely sold that with his last album, and the industry is worse off now.  Plus he don't have Whatever You Like/Live Your Life as singles.

It will sell 1 mill easy, but no way is that shit reaching 2 unless he come out with a better single than what he's dropped already..

Ok, will wait it out and see what King Uncaged sells. But try and remember he sold two million in 2006 and yrs later ppl said "he won't do it again, industry is worse..." yet he did it again years later with Paper Trail. It didn't even take a year to hit double platinum.

King Uncaged will sell two mill because he will have another single as big as Whatever U Like/Life Your Life, we just haven't heard it yet...

To me, he is not even in the discussion of who the king of the south is (actually I don't like that phrase because I don't think it can be narrowed down like that).

Peace

you know Alfamega is a DEA informant

he won against luda? when? all i know is when luda dropped war with god t.i. no longer wanted to be at odds fact yell

Scarface is my favorite rapper of all time and the GOAT IMO, so if he recognizes TI as the king, its all good IMO.

you telling me ti song was fucc'n with war with god? hahahahahaha get the fucc outta here yell

^ your not even making sense bro. Since when was the argument which track was better? U said that after Luda dropped "War With God", T.I. no longer wanted to be at odd, fact." That is EXACTLY what u said. However not a fact, clearly T.I. had no problem being "at odds" (that's how u put it) because AFTER the release of "War With God', T.I. released "Watch What You Say To Me" dissing Luda.

I'm no into that "no your stupid this song was better...." That was never the argument there.

If T.I. doesn't have a major single, it won't do a million.

you will eat your words when King Uncaged sells at least two million

hahahahahahahahahahahah
U find that funny?  :-\ 2 of his last 3 albums sold well over 2 million copies and the third (TI VS TIP) was very close to 2 million

I think u made that comment without being familiar with his album sales

I'd consider him very very lucky to even hit one mil at this point. Lil Wayne's last album didn't even go platinum.

I agree, but Wayne only didn't go platinum because a huge majority of his rap fanbase didn't like Rebirth & rock fans laughed at the idea lol.

I'm not sure, if we are debating:

A) Record Sales

B) Better artist

C) Who won the beef

If it's who won the beef, Ludacris clearly had the best diss track of all of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw_nccJQplE

I don't understand in the state of Hip Hop we're in, where you have to have a bitch related single like "Whatever You Like" to sell records how you can crown a king? lol.

a "king" should be able to sell whatever product he puts out because the fans love him, not because he has to live by some drawn out label formula.

Lets just wait until the album has been out before discussing sales.A big single changes everything.hell chamillionaire first album had been out like 6 months and failed to go gold but then ridin dirty dropped and it blew up.
