Haven't heard the whole album yet but checked out a bunch of tracks. Looks like it will be somewhere between good and decent. A couple too many weak attempts at pop tracks for my liking.

If my song descriptions don't say much about lyrics it's because u already know Big Boi brings it lyrically and flow wise, ALWAYS

1. Feel Me Intro - N/A But holy shit what a dope ass Intro  :o
2. Daddy Fat Sax - 3.75/5 =- Good opener. Has an east coast feel to it. Not bad at all. Good song overall.

3. Turns Me On (Ft. Sleepy Brown & Joi) - 4.5/5 - Got that classic OutKast/Sleepy Brown sound
4. Follow Us (Ft. Vonnegutt) - 4/5 - Dope ass beat and real cool hook. Big Boi comes tight as usual.

5. Shutterbugg (Ft. Cutty) - 5/5 - Best beat in 2010. Cutty is dope on here.
6. General Patton (Ft. Big Rube) - 5/5 - Real hip hop ass record right here. Big Boi really spitting on here. Love the Big Rube old school OutKast spoken word on here.

7. Tangerine (Ft. T.I. & Khujo Goodie) - 4.25/5 - Sounds like a hit record. Big needs to go ahead and drop this as a single. Can barely hear Khujo Goodie though.

8. You Ain't No DJ (Ft. Yelawolf) - 4/5 Andre 3K on the beat and it's banging. Big Boi sounds dope as fuck on here. The hook isn't great but decent. Weird that Yelawolf has 2 verses.

9. Hustle Blood (Ft. Jamie Foxx) - 3.75/5 Real dope Lil Jon beat. Sounds unlike Jon. Jamie Foxx drops a dope ass hook! Big Boi flow on here tight.
10. Be Still (Ft. Janelle Monae) - 3.5/5 Dope beat. Love Janelle Monae. Good Big Boi/Janelle collabo. Beat is pretty hot. A little too much Janelle Monae on here though.

11. Fo' Yo' Sorrows (Ft. Too $hort, Sam Chris & George Clinton) - 4.25/5 Been out for a while. Hope that don't take away from rating cuz its dope as hell.
12. Night Night (Ft. B.o.B. & Joi) - 4.5/5 Beat is pretty dope. B.o.B. really smashes the hook too. Joi sounds great on here too.

13. Shine Blockas (Ft. Gucci Mane) - 3.5/5 Been out for a while. A decent, but not great album track. One of the worse tracks on here but still not bad at all.
14. The Train Pt.2 (Sir Lucious Left Foot Saves the Day) (Ft. Sam Chris) - 5/5 - Dope solo Big record. Sam Chris great on the hook. Album closer material.

15. Back Up Plan - 3.75/5 Dope record. Beat is great. Odd final track though. Train Pt.2 should be last song.

BONUS:

16. Theme Song - 3.75/5 Been out a while tagged as "Ringtone." Not bad track, cool bonus add.
17. Shine Blockas Remix (Ft. Gucci Mane, Bun B, Project Pat) - 3.75/5 Bun B kills this shit. Project Pat is good on here too. Better rating than original cause new verses better.

Overall this is a phenomenal album that you can bump top to bottom. It MIGHT even be better than Speakerboxxx, but it will take some time to make that decision. Either way, Big Boi shows he doesn't need Andre 3000 to make GREAT music but of course we all rather have OutKast than solo records. Still, Big Boi is here to stay regardless.

I'll be copping July 6

Am I the only one who thinks this isn't as great as people are making it? It's decent, but nowhere near the quality of an Outkast album. Also I don't get what is the hype about the Shutterbug song. Not feeling the beat at all.

Almost is dope but in the middle it slows down "You Aint No DJ", "Hustle Blood" and "Be Still" could easily be replaced by left overs "Sumthin's Gotta Give" "Royal Flush", "Lookin 4 Ya" those songs dont have the edge or creativity as "General Patton" or "Follow Us" but in comparison to maybe "Speakerboxx" it doesnt have a "War"-type like track (check "Sumthin..") but sweet tracks like "Fo Yo Sorrows" and "Shutterbug" make up

I love both of these tracks. Outkast always got some diff. shit on their albums. "Southernplayalistic.." had Funky Ride, "Aquemini" had Spottieotti.., "Stankonia" had Stank Love, "Idlewild" had Mutron Angel and A Bad Note...."Be Still" is that type of track on this album. "Hustle Blood" is real dope, too. I think a lot of people don't like it just because it's Jamie Fox. IMO, he's got a real nice hook here and Lil Jon's beat is sick. The verses are great, too (love how they end with that "dum dum ditty dum".

Great album. Very funky and refreshing, especially in this summertime. I still don't think much of Big Boi as an MC due to his unappealing flow/voice (there's a reason why Andre gets more praise) but he sure knows how to put together a song and an album.

BTW too bad that Dre didn't mix or co-produce Shutterbug, the bass doesn't bang as you'd expect it too. Would be their best production since Still D.R.E..

what are you talking about Big boi flow flow/voice is twice as better then andres will ever be.  andre sounds like some nerd. big boi has real street flow /voice .andre gets more praise beccause of how hsi dresses & his osund of music not because of his flow/voice at all . people sleep on the best parto f outkast big boi . big boi has best verse on players ball there first single & the reason i because outkast fan .andre is overrated & not as good as big boi. big boi makes real hood muzik .

Depends on the listener. I'm more flow > lyrics. More of a BB fan than A3k, but both are cool.

lyrics don't matter if the voice sucks .  Big boi has better flow, lyrics,& voice then andre . andre was ruined the moment he fucked with Erykah Badu. andre has been wack since he messed with Erykah Badu just like common .big boi rhymes are more real & the reason outkast blew up in the first place

Big Boi's flow is overall better then Andre 3k, 3k has the edge lyrically easily though

but it's a joke how people act like 3k is god and Big Boi was his sidekick, obviously those people have never listened to an outkast album

and I still tell people Speakerboxx was one of the best rap albums last decade

Bought the album. Liking it after about 6 listens. Only songs that I tend to skip are Tangerine, You Aint a DJ and Be Still. But You Aint a DJ is growing on me and Be Still & Tangerine are average but just seem weaker against the other stuff.

A link to Royal Flush would be welcomed.

Great album. Consistent throughout aswell. Not many throwaways.

Because he's been alongside Andre 3000, who is an incredible emcee, people often overlook the ability Big Boi has. He's always entertaining, good lyrically and often witty.

OK I DLed this awhile back, it was sitting on my computer cause on the first listen I thought it was mediocre at best. But I've been playing this in my car for the past week and the album grew on me tremendously. Every song is a banger and it's just nice to hear some different style shit that sounds good. Speakerboxxx was too experimental for me so I didn't like it at all but this albums production is much more moderate. It mixes the usual Southern beats with OutKast experimentation which I like. I will buy this with my money soon.

#3 rated album of the year, so far (well, actually #2 'cause that Rolling Stones album that's #1 is just a re-release): http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/bigboi/sirluciousleftfoot  Janelle Monae (a Big Boi affiliate) is #2 w/ "The ArchAndroid". If y'all haven't checked that album yet, do yourself a favor and listen to that jewel!

if you like the tracks Big Boi and Phantogram did together on Big Boi's last LP, you would probably like it
