methinks quik will work with most decent cats who will go outta their way to get with him, he aint no dr. dre. but how many artists these days are hollering at quik for some production? i'd blame the artists more than quik for not hearing his music in more places...

I enjoyed the album Nick Cannon put out a couple of years ago. He's not a Rakim or an E-40, but with the right production team behind him he can make good music.

ok that makes more sense. i would definitely talk about tim, quik and dre together as masters in the production world. but i think quik has the broadest musical influences in his work, most technical expertise and most importantly to me, the most FUNK 8)

This is a cool song, I really like this beat. Very 2010 ish, Quik is evolving and growing even more as a producer. He can keep up with the times, this beat has many sounds to it and it's abstract, I love it. Yet, it still has a bit of that signature DJ Quik sound. For me, I'd go with Premo/Pete Rock/RZA> Quik> Dre.

Dont think it matters really. His career wont change right now one way or the other by him bein real. Its not like hollywood is gonna tell him, "Hey we were gonna give you the role in this movie, but youre from San Diego" lol. I could see maybe if he were some up and comin rapper who was tryin to make a name IN LA. He was never that tho. Rap music came after he was in the entertainment industry already.

I am no fan of Nick Cannon and probably never will be. He is a terrible rapper, but a thing I like and admire about him is that he's not afraid to admit he's wack, and has done in several occasions on record. Hell, there was even a terrible rap audition at the American Idol show, and Nick turned to the camera to say that the audition act was a worse rapper than what he was. Very humble, and in this fairy faggot having genre with rappers so far up their own asses that's a very rare trait to have, so for that, and the fact he's been one of a few commercialised names that have worked with Quik, when others are out to get track with whatever fashionalised producer is hot that month, I salute him for it so should others when you take the time to think about it

It's true..there have been hella West Coast rappers that were as "bad" or worse than Nick Cannon that folks here have praised, usually because they were more on a gangsta tip, or had the right affiliations. I think Nick is corny as a comedian-personality, but he's never been a wack rapper to me..."she's mine" with Bosko + 40 was DOPE, "Til the cops come" was a nice club type track, and the song about being an unborn child in his mom's stomach was great.
