this is also a crossover beat if ever i heard one, just on the quality of the instrumental.
if only em had been using beats like this for the 'recovery' theme, instead of crap like 'not afraid'. you woulda had super hit singles and classis music to go behind it.

yeah, as in the music is that nice that it has a high universal appeal factor, especially with the hook. would make a dent on the radio with the right artist (say eminem) on it or whatever. not that it sounds inherently corny or pop.

There's something weird about the mix on the hook. Is it just me or does it sound a little hollow?
This beat is the best I've heard from Dre since some of the relapse beats. Dawaun isn't bad on the mic either. Definetly better than most of these producers turned rappers 8)

Actually yes my brain works fine and I am not the ungrateful type. I guess you didn't read between the lines or maybe just don't know anything about music and business. Why would you give away a song like that for free, especially a single? I'm curious.
I bought the 320kbps of I am the West because it was a dope track and I wanted cd quality.... I'm curious as to why this is free, I'm not complaining.

Good point. I guess what I'm wondering is this EP going direcly to Itunes only or is it getting pressed and being put into stores? EPs and majors are pretty rare, especially with rap shit.
