-
This song is just randomly wack, no way Snoop is making an album single that sounds like that
-
SHIT IS WEAK.... if this is indeed on "Doggystyle 2" im giving up on "new" Snoop Dogg music FOREVER!!!! Come Hard or Retire...
-

-

Yeah it could be worse, its def a step up from gangsta luv
naww fuck that, gangsta luv shits all over this
-
I hope when he starts doing interviews before the album drops that someone has the brains to ask him what is gonna be so "doggystyle" about this album that he had to name it a sequel
-
Now I know why i havnt got anything of his since "Tha Last Meal"
-
its wrong to say this, but...
i wish Snoop wouldve got clapped when he left Row and started beefing with Suge.. nigga wouldve been legend..
and now he trying to destroy his legacy by dropping a sequel to his debut, with a single like this.. wtf...
-
^^^ lol
If snoops discovery read doggystyle, doggfather, topp dogg, the last meal, the bluecarpet treatment and the eastsidaz albums the guy would have the best discovery in hip hop. But it's these crossover type tracks which don't suit him that let him down. Why he insists on making them I do not know.
Very disappointed.
-
the track is produced by scoop deville
-
Snoop should hook back up with Suge
-
um.the beat is cool but the song is wack.shouldnt be considered a doggy style 2 song imo
-
R'n'G 2 ? ::)
that'd be cool actually. can't go wrong with a few pharrell beats n some vocals. but we can only dream of such a quality right now
-
man whatta a let down, i kinda expected it! snoop just needs to stop wit the party shit and get back to the gangster talk and come hard on hoes
-
it's a single aimed for the mainstream-audience in 2010-11. the hell yall except? you think this 40-year would drop "For All My Niggaz Bitches - Part 2" produced by Dre?
LOL
shut the hell up now, n wait till the full album drops.
this is just one song so far
-
wow this shit is super homo
-
Yeah, not as bad as youze saying, i kinda like it. The beat is trippy, pretty cool.
I think the song would sound good in the right mood and environment, would definately sound good drinking.
I like how Snoop experiments and dose tripped out original shit(goes too far sometimes/ego trippin) but i must agree that he shouldnt name the album doggystyle 2 with songs like this and i would prefer he didnt do songs with R&B choruses like that.
As mentioned though, its a single.
-
i'm classic like Detox or Doggystyle 2.
it's not as bad as i expected, but i doubt that it's a keeper

come on now, snoop's 'experiments' are far from original.

yeah a single like this was to be expected.
it's not going to work though, his mainstream success days are over
-
he's chage the album title in the last minute
change for .. ME AND MY NEFFEWS
-
i'm classic like Detox or Doggystyle 2.

Ok well, yeah sure he experiments with other styles and ideas that he didnt come up with, like down south beats and audio tune but i meant like how he works with differant producers on every album and makes all kinds of songs.
Double edged sword, dont want him sounding the same all the time yet we want him to stick with the formular that works.
i like how he dose differant shit but of course we all wish he'd make music like he used to. We all know it aint happening, thats why i dont understand the "doggystle 2" idea..
Kinda like gets peopels hopes up but then as mentioned sounds more liek R&G2 or MIW2.
-
i kinda like it too.
this is not what i was hopin for doggystyle 2 but its a good track imo.
-
I like it :-X
-
This shit is wack. I turned it off after the i heard the hook because i already know how snoop flows on these weak songs.
My thing is, why would he drop this kinda song to promote Doggystyle 2? This isnt even Doggystyle 10 caliber.
And i can guarantee you that this wont be a "single". What artist have you ever seen provide a free download to the first single off their upcoming album?
This is nuffin more then a promotional song, like snoop usually does before hes about to really release shit, like he did with Snoop Dogg Millionaire. And WTF is this coming out 2+ months before New Years?
Hopefully the 1st official single wont be this bad.
-
And hopefully this wont even be on the album.
-
Somethin tells me this garbage will end up on the album. Lets not forget how early on he put out Thats Tha Homie and it ended up on his last album.
-

oh yeah it's different for him.
well every now and then he drops some nice songs, like Protocol.
anyway, doggystyle is his best selling album, so he's trying to capitalise on that.
it probably won't work though
-

That's Tha Home is a banger tho, beats slaps the hell out erry system! And I like the concept of the song, it fitted Snoop very well to be "Uncle Snoopy" from around the way. But that's just my opinion...
That new song, I dunno... like Nima already said, it's VERY similar to "I Wanna Rock" and I don't really feel the vibe. Snoop should come off with something more creative or he can put this so called "Doggystyle 2" in his ass!
-
LMFAO, you gotta be kidding Snoop :D
-
wow this shit is super homo
-
C'mon guys be real. This free track is a calling card for advertising Snoops next album that will drop in March. It's not going to be on the album. Not in a million years - why would a tune about New Years be on an album released in the Spring? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
-
If it's a hit of any kind it will be on the album
-
Extremely unlikely. Christmas/New years shit never appears on albums.
-

Ehm, because he announced it himself that it will be the first singel from the album? Not that I take everything Snoop say as valid information, the guy changes his mind about things constantly so who know's where this track will end up. That being said, I hope it ends up where it belongs: in the fucking trashbin.
-
Seems like most snoops strongest tracks these last few years seem to be non album tracks that just pop up out of nowhere like his let it rain jam
-
And i can guarantee you that this wont be a "single". What artist have you ever seen provide a free download to the first single off their upcoming album?
He specifically called it the single when he leaked it
-
Lol, did you guys actually expect something different from Snoop? He even said that he was making an album for the women.
That said, the name of the album is clearly for hype only. A song about having one special girl doesn't go with the name "Doggystyle"
-
How bout 'Snoop Dogg Millionaire' on his last album. Oh wait, it wasn't on it ;D
-

Haha i fuckin knew it, Snoop was not lying when he said he was going to be making an album for bitches.
Anyone plays this on New Years Eve out in public should be shot.
-

well i'm sure snoop's biggest fan doesn't want to take that risk ;)
-
who produced this single ? Teddy Riley ? Terrace Martin ? swizz beat ? snoop dogg makes another malice n wonderland 2 !!! we must forget doggystyle 2 it was a dream !!!
-
what ever happened to this so called production team he had goin on with him, quik and teddy riley?

It's discography u dipshit.
-

if snoop stuck to his word and had them produce an entire album for him i would be more than happy
-

Lol, Terrace should kill you for taht one! :D
This is so obviously a Scoop DeVille production
-
bumps Protocol
-
If you take away the fact Snoop named the upcoming album "Doggystyle 2", song's not too bad. Shouldn't be called NYE though. And it would have sounded hotter with a better singer. Should have asked El DeBarge on this track, would have sounded more natural on it than this Marty James character
-
This is definitely better than Gangsta Luv, but its not good enough to be on a follow up of a straight up classic. It's better than the majority of the songs on Malice but thats not exactly surprising seeing as that was one of the biggest piles of shit when it comes to hip-hop albums.
-
This is dope, looking forward to this album 8)

It's not about what I'm expecting, it's your overrated opinion that bothered me. This is far from dope. There are still rappers out there today releasing dope music. Snoop at the moment and probably forever more is not releasing dope music.

Snoop is more than capable of dropping dope music...this new song is fucking trash. Bring on Pump Pump 2, Snoop.
-
It was leadecd early to a few handset sites to gain responses. Depending on those reponses will determine on whether or not this is the single
-
that shit is wack!
-
Even worse, Snoop's biting now. I guess that's kind of Doggystyle

I don't know man. Snoop's track record is very poor when it comes to track selection..Just look at Tha Last Meal as an example, he left off "No Backtrackin" for no apparent reason and instead we got wack shit like "I Can't Swim" and "Leave Me Alone". Uggh!!
-
^ "i cant swin" is a good track. I agree though, he did the same thing with " the blue carpet treatment".
I remember years ago, here on this site, or maybe it was the old DPG recordz site?, "drop it like its hot" got the same response as this here. Everyone hated it but it went on to be a #1 hit.
(not that i can see this doing the same, just saying).

You can't compare this "I Wanna Rock" pale imitation to a track like "Drop It Like It's Hot" which is way more experimental. Plus Snoop had Pharrell on this and 2 cool verses. This is just a bla bla track. it's not really bad imo, but it's a copy period.
-
absolutely terrible.. ::)
-
there is still some hope , I think Meech & Snoop worked together for the new album
