That's my guess yes. I've cross referenced all the names and this one convinced me it's him:

Mobb Deep ft Lloyd Banks "Stole Something" (A. Johnson, K. Muchita, C. Lloyd, M. Jones) (Prod by Havoc)

No offence was meant. I wanted to start a fresh topic as I'd decoded the writing credits.

This is how I take it:

DJ Khalil, Dr. Dre, Danny Keyz = Production
Blaqthoven = Sly's part, he said so on Twitter (although I think he was trying to say that it was actually him on the track)
Kobe = His own part
Prodigy & Krondon = Verses and maybe the hook?

So Snoop wrote nothing??? And if Krondon and Prodigy are getting their verses used then that means we are probably in for a crazy credit list on the album.

Blaqthoven really? wtf?! that would be hella great but I can't do nothing but doubt that. I would never expect Dre to holla at Blaqthoven (even tho I think he is a great artist).

I don't care who did what as long as the final product is dope and I wasn't really feeling it so on to the next one.

Prodigy could also be a lyric sample too as original artists get credit for that too.

thats what i was thinkin.

LOL  :P
u fucking guys are over-exaggerating!!
nothin is revealed, this is just soap-opera gossip at its finest..  :D
u can get writer-credit on a song if u composed one sampled melody.. song-writing equals writing/ publishing..
u dont have to literarly write the lyrics..
Prodigy never ghostwrote anything in his life, to my knowledge..

Yes, it seems a little odd that they would have Prodigy ghostwriting songs when he's been locked up.

(K. Rahman, A. Young, D. Tannenbaum, A. Ransom, B. Honeycutt, A. Johnson II & M. Jones III)

Well... after a quick google search, I can't find Prodigy listed as A. Johnson II anywhere. Is he the second?

Do we know of another A. Johnsons??? lol. I'm curious as to who wrote Dre's and Snoops veres....

I don't see Krondon listed as Marvin Jones III anywhere either.

Blaqthoven is a dope producer. Wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with the beat.

Wow so.... the most plausible thing I can think of: Kobe and Blaqthoven wrote the sung parts. Khalil and Dre made the beat. Danny Keyz played keys. Something prodigy once said is sampled somewhere and for some reason he is getting credit for one sampled line. The leaves Krondon as the writer of BOTH verses??? damn. That came out of no where.

We hear that Bishop is writing for the album. Then DOC is also writing. Then Slim Tha Mobster. Then Eminem. Then TI, Jay-Z, Drake....

Imagine it turns out that Krondon wrote both verses on the lead single for the album.

This is crazy. I mean Dre has been collecting verses for 10 years now...

when the album finally drops, the writer list for Dre's verses is gonna be insane.

Blaqthoven , Krondon- they are Khalils homies, so that is logical.

remember this? Khalil on the beat, Krondon on the track as SAS and Blaqthoven on the hook...

thats funny too. A. Johnson II isnt Prodigy.
this is just assuming/ guess.. gossip

If i write a song together with 20 other people, and if Dre samples only 1 second of that song (that I wrote) for hsi own shit - then I am (plus, the other 20 people) enitlted legally to writing-credits on Dre's track..

what im tryin to say is,
u cant assume that everybody wrote "the song", just because u have a few names up there..  obviously this is a case like this

Not sure if its been said already, but in the event that it is Prodigy (whether he wrote something or is just getting credit for a sample), it would kind of make sense because wasn't Dre quoted as saying he was listening to all of Mobb Deep's shit not too long ago?

good work homie, nice post.  Yeah Ive been meaning to check out Krondon for the longest, I was waiting for Xzibit to do a Strong Arm Steady album but it never happened.

Krondon came with some ill shit for this "Kush" track.  He may not be what TV is looking for image-wise, so ghostwriting could get him paid.

Bangin first single, I love that Dre is workin with Akon.  Perfect lead single.  From Chronic to "Kush"!

the line may sound simple, but it actually has deeper implications.  The West Coast is known for representing a very masculine vision of hip-hop.  The West put the gangsta rap culture on the map, and usually the dress code was baggy.

Now that the West Coast has fallen off in the mainstream, a softer, prettier, bubblegum version of hip-hop has arisen.  And tight jeens are actually a symbol of this shift in hip-hop music.

So actually, this song is Dre coming back, the West comin back, the good old days of the 90's coming back, and that line is perfect for the song.

i guess that explains why i thought that Kush didn't sound like a Dre instrumental.

you obviously know the difference between the original beat and the retail version, but it would be interesting for others to know how much different Dre's input sounds on Kush ;D

whats so hard about that concept for people to grasp, most if not all great music producers always have a studio full of great musicians to use or control at their musical expense to compose their talents in the way that creates what an Artist like Dr. Dre has in his mind, he doesn't always have to be twisting knobs himself to make what he hears in his head or to have the ideas that are sparked from somebody elses creation to have Dre help make it the best that it can possibly be... that's what PRODUCERS do, they're not always 100% technical either. therefore I don't think Dre needs to physically contribute written music on his tracks for me to appreciate them, i know that the beats he composes are what he wants & feels are the best representation for reel Hip-Hop headz to get in-to! although with that said i also wished Dre wasn't so insecure with music he actually wrote himself solo w/ NO extra help from any other beat-makers & or key-board players, that's some shit I'm sure we'd all like to hear. 8)

Let me clarify. Bishop's writing for Dre and Snoop was over another beat. Kush wasn't meant for Detox, initially.

Oh wait so they took the beat from one Bishop track and added some ghostwritten Bishop verses from another track on to it?

Well they can't have used Bishops final lyrics - why would he not get a credit? He wouldn't have ghost written for one of Dre's other many writers!

A lot was rewritten over time, O.G. Bishop's content was actually anti-kush, haha.

What was Kush meant for originally? The Reformation?

I'd have liked to have seen the Bishop track 'Translator' with Dre's mixing and final touch on... that track was hard as fuck, and it'd be even harder with huge Dre claps and big mix

So how much did Krondon and Slim Tha Mobster have to do with the final lyrics? Were there any other ghostwriters involved?

besides kobe and blaqthoven writing the hook lol.

well if he didn't write anything in the final version then for our sake the credits tell the whole story.

and it makes sense if slim the mobster wrote dre's verse on here (cause it sucks).

^^You can definitely hear Khalil's influence on the track. I bet Dre added harder claps and the piano loop.
yeah i think so too.

I doubt it, because I think Dre said that he needs 2 or 3 more songs until the record is complete.  I wonder what the front cover will look like though.  It has to have some reference to weed surely?

Lol for real. First off Rebel says this was originally a bishop song, then we find out its a completely different beat, and completely different verses. So Bishop really added nothing to the song? It's not like Kush is an extremely original name for a song either. Theres no reason Bishop should get credit on this track, I appreciate all the insight Rebel but sometimes it really seems like you're reaching with these Bishop/Detox connections.
