what the hell ???  do you guys believe this shit.  ja rules cd is platinum.  I don't know i don't believe it. i could be wrong tho

yeah, he did say that but look at billboard.com it says that his new cd is platinum

shit i'm surprised it didn't go platinum sooner. i'm glad it took so long. hopefully a sign that shit's turning around.

That must mean Better Dayz is double or tripple platinum, because Pac has outsold him every week on the charts so far.

nah, its bullshit because 2pacs is not platinum yet.  I think its because of that whole def jam lying about their sales thing.  Thats why ja rules is already platinum and 2pacs isn't.

Why do you think it's a typing error or Billboard.com is lying?

They don't put that little triangle the day the CD sells it's 1,000,000 unit.  I think they wait for it to get certified.  2Pac's album will probably get the 3x platinum symbol soon.  Pac's album came out after Ja's.

Pac's album is at like 800k...My friend works for this music company and got access to soundscan...Even though Ja's album is certified plat he's only at around 750k...He shipped 1 milluon to stores...RIAA gives out plaques for units shipped...Jay-z is at 1.3 million and Snoop is around 450,000...

oh, so whats the eminem show at sales wise.  Does that mean that eminem only shipped 7.4 million cds but didn't sell that much ???

No... the shippin problem is a DEF JAM thang... I believe Eminem sold all that and with Superman coming soon.. he will maybe reach the 8 000 000.. Ja rule.. I really dont think he went platinum

Eminem has sold 7.4 million according to Soundscan...Marshall Mathers LP has scanned around 9 million and Slim Shady LP has scanned around 4.3 million...

Pac is almost double platinum, according to a rep from Universal who I spoke with, and this was a week ago. So yea, Pac's new album is double platinum as I type this, and if it isnt, it will be very soon. Better Dayz will sell about 3 million when its all said and done. UTEOT is at 4.1 million. AEOM is almost at 11 million.

The Marshall Mathers LP is at like 8.7 million, and the Eminem Show at 6.9 million........Slim Shady LP is at around 4 million and a little bit of change......
