thanks a lot man! I think top dogg is dope
-
Thanks for this.
-
great man. thanx!
-
Thanks. All the Top Dogg tracks that were recorded right when he got to Death Row around late 97/early 98 are way better than all the other unreleased stuff of his that has leaked. Compare the 2 versions Who Let The Doggz Loose for example. The OG is bangin and the other version is just awful.
-
wow! great. thanks!
-
Now that it leaked you guys have another unreleased Death Row album completed ;)
-
big props homie
very appreciated
-
Thanks again.
Is it me or do I hear an alternate version of Goin Back To Cali in the background of that intro?
-
This isn't a complete album. It does confirm what was said years ago when a few handful - wont name names said that the mixtape sale years ago was all the material recorded on his time at Death Row. I said there was enough for an EP release still left. Someone should maybe select the best from both and make a solid album. Top Dogg was realer in 1999 than what Snoop himself was despite the similarities. The first track should be the original version of Goin Back to Cali??

Is there any truth to that, in which that tracklisting was his supposed official album? The only track from that list that hasn't been leaked (I think) is "Time". Everything else is out there.

If that's true, I agree with Suge. I put that tracklist together and skimmed through, and that album would have disappointed given the material he had released prior ("We Don't Love 'Em", "Cindafella", "Goin' Back 2 Cali"). IMO there aren't any tracks on here other than "That Top Dogg" or "Me and my Boyz" that could have been a successful single in '99 or '00.

Here's a pic of the actual promo copy of this album:

I believe it came from Skanless and I heard it was sold in 2001 for like 500$..
-
someone who pays 500 bucks for a Topp Dogg cd is on crack
let alone a Snoop Dogg cd
-
From 99-2003 People would pay that for 2nd gen Death Row rappers easily. A lot of people did. Tha Realest & Top Dogg were quite sought after material back in the day if anyone remembers lol

"Gangsta Shit" leaked on the One Deuce Six cd. The only track from that cd that hasn't been on the two FTPE Top Dogg cd's is the track "Time".
-
coo.
now, can somebody compile all the available "Evry dog has its day" album-tracks into one file, and upload it? 18 tracks (minus 1 - "time")? so we can have "the album"..

Isn't Time the one with The "Time Keeps On Slippin', Slippin', Into The Future" sample?

That would be dope if we could get 320 rips from people who own original copies of the different albums and compile them like you said.

I put it together. Some of the quality of the tracks are good, others might need to be remastered by those that know how to do it (Or someone from Top Dogg's camp can come on here and leak it in full CDQ). Here's a cover I found online along with the cd he submitted to Suge.

Did you listen to these songs?? Lol. There's some tight ones sprinkled in here and there but overall it's mediocre at best. Think what you want of him, but musically Tha Realest's tracks he recorded on Death Row were way better than Top Dogg's if you look at them as a whole. Tha Realest would have had a much more solid album. Then Crooked I was brought to the table so he naturally became the focus of the label. Suge made some bad business decisions but not releasing Top Dogg's album was not one of them.

IMO "We Don't Love 'Em" and "Goin' Back 2 Cali" >>> the majority of everything Tha Realest did on Death Row. You're right though, given the stuff that was actually released, the cd would have been disappointing for Death Row fans at that time.
-
Top Dogg had some dope tracks recorded on the label but majority of them was weak tho so I understand Suge's decision to not releasing his album. I think overall Realest had way more good tracks on Death Row than Top Dogg but he also recorded way more comparing to YGD, who according to his own words made only 25-30 songs throughout the whole time being signed..
-
Why not a double album -------YGD - THE DAYS IN DEATH ROW 8) 8) 8)

I agree with that comparison but if you had to put an album together for each of them, I think Realest's would have been more solid. Top Dogg's flow on some of those unreleased tracks is waaaaack. Realest's flow was always on point, his lyrics could have used some work though on certain songs.
