Yeah, I think its just the some of the tracks. But the album isnt featured on there. That album came out on Antra, Im not sure if they are around anymore...They might not have a relationship with itunes...You can still download the album from places like mediafire or megaupload. Its a hard album to find on the shelves these days.

There is a project they are working on together that Fred is heavily involved in. They are moving at a slow steady pace cause they want to make sure it comes out right. Also Kurupt and Fred have been keep a tight lid on their work. It should be a great project when it comes. Until then Kurupt is going to keep dropping more street albums.

Antra collapsed when Kurupt went to Death Row and the mafia, yes I said the mafia, didn't have another act on the label. The label was funded by the mafia and eventually sold to Tico in 2004, that's when it became Treacherous Records. Maybe, they should re-issue the album, since they own the rights to it and what not.

That would cost them more money than they would make off an re issue. Its just not big enough to re issue.

The first and last time I listened to Space Boogie was like 6 or 7 years ago (when I didn't know shit about West Coast rap, and hardly knew much Kurupt). I didn't like it and don't remember much of it at all besides a feature from Fred Durst. I have just looked at the tracklist, and on paper thats a crazy tracklist, production, features, everything. I'll give it another listen soon and will most likely like it 10000x more than I did years ago. Can't believe i've never checked this out since then though, some tracks i've heard lots about (especially the one with Ren/Nate/X).

but you're right kurupt really blew it on the lyrics.

How so? Kurupt tears up the mic:

"Nigga you want war? Yeah right, I'm mic sky like stiletto
Holocaust to high school, roscoe to Vasco
Impossible lives the hospitalized
franchise strip niggas is broke for ranches mansions avalanches
Alarms ring cause harm in court
like platinum and gold
I've sold a whole, explosions hit explode implode
Popped out bodies dropped off on Rider's road
I've seen and foreseen the unseen
and able hardly able to separate the myths from fables
I'ma buy a Baltic while you purchase fireplaces
Poisonous supply and occupy in space
The midnight I could hide the dark until the spark
Light up the night nothing everything in sight
I'ma cross the finish line with both legs broken
Flow coke broken both toke smokin' (wha?)
Daz dilly machine dean two shottie
The life of a party is a live scene
Gastra.. neo kung-fu niastra
Monsoons swarm en route like harpoons
Young black Sinatra analytical ANTRA
a million percent proof bound to found the youth
uncrude uncoil bubble and boil turmoil
Don't specialize and ill crack your bones
Now fuck with that (automatic cardiac attack)
Forced to front in your chest back, (?)no raptor arab(?)
Kuruption! Yeah that's me!
New word to the dome, cyclone stallone
stainless steel momomamamarron(?)
get done cloned and choke in stone"

Dude who typed that up missed some words off but what's weak about that?

Yup. It's just jibberish with no story or meaning.

"Impossible lives the hospitalized
franchise strip niggas is broke for ranches mansions avalanches
Alarms ring cause harm in court
like platinum and gold
I've sold a whole, explosions hit explode implode"

No offense but if you think these are good lyrics you are either a moron, or poorly educated. Even when typed out correctly, 90% of these lyrics don't make sense AT ALL. Reread them and think hard about them, and you will see what we are talking about.

Damn well if you look at what I posted it's full of mis-transcribed words, plus you took out the middle of a verse!

I'll admit I can't catch every word on that track it's so damn fast.

Here's the bit you quoted anyway:

"Nigga you. Want. War? Yeah right, Iron Mike "sky like stiletto"(?)
Holocaustal, hostile, Roscoe Tabasco.
Impossible lives that hospitalise,
franchise Strip niggas get broke like branches, manches(?), avalanches.
Alarms ring, cause harm is caused
like platinum and gold
I've sold or hold, explosions, hit, explode implode
popped, all bodies dropped off on Rider's road."

Pretty fucking vivid dope shit!

Dude he's rhyming a word with a different tense/variation of the exact same word. On top of that it doesn't make sense. You call him a poet for this? LMAO!!! This is not "vivid dope shit." Vivid dope shit would be a story being told that you can picture in your head. If I were to try to picture these lines in my head, I would see an alarm ringing, followed by platinum and gold plaques, followed by a bomb exploding.

Where are you from? Just out of curiosity.

If I were to try to picture these lines in my head, I would see an alarm ringing, followed by platinum and gold plaques, followed by a bomb exploding.

Where are you from? Just out of curiosity.

Nope you missed it again "(be)cause harm is caused"

Why don't you listen to the track in question?

he's just rambling on that song, there are so many other examples of Kurupt going off but this track isn't one of them

This post solidifies the credibility of most the people on this board (not all) just the people who constantly bash on new westcoast music....hate on Game, hate on Dre's new tracks etc. It just shows the youth and age of most of ya'll on this board.

I guess it's ok to not know where this track is from, but for reply after reply asking for a link, saying this track is hot, asking where it's from ...are you serious??? This is off Kurupt's, if not THE best then 2nd best Album.

Do your homework, know your westcoast music, understand it will never be like the 90's and early 2000s again. Appreciate any westcoast music that comes out now, appreciate purp n yellow remix, kush, i need a doctor, I'm the King, etc because these are the little bits and pieces of westcoast music that has carried over from the the last 20 years. Kurupt will never put out music like he used to, he's in his 30s! You're not asking Kobe or Jordan to dunk like they used to when they wre younger. stop bashing especially when you dont even know artists' past greatest hits/albums.

"Alarms ring, cause harm is caused
like platinum and gold
I've sold or hold, explosions, hit, explode implode"

Cause harm is caused?
Explosions hit explode implode?

Dude he's rhyming a word with a different tense/variation of the exact same word. On top of that it doesn't make sense. You call him a poet for this? LMAO!!! This is not "vivid dope shit." Why don't you listen to the track in question?

You're officially a dumbass. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt at first, but you continue to make yourself look like an idiot.

It doesn't matter if it's cause or because, those words have the same fucking meaning when used in that line. Not to mention the fact that I copy pasted it from the lyrics YOU TYPED when you corrected the other ones. So you are essentially correcting yourself when you said I "missed it." You still have yet to put up any argument as to how these lyrics are dope. They're just big words. Big words that go nowhere.

I don't need to listen to the song. I've heard it hundreds of times like every other track on Space Boogie. I can also tell you that that very song is playing in the background on the intro of Backstabbers off of Daz's RAW album. Like I previously stated, this album was dope as fuck but Kurupt's lyrics were wack as fuck. Good production/features made up for that.

cause/kôz/
Verb: Make (something) happen: "this disease can cause blindness".

Cause is the past tense of caused. It's not the same word as 'cause (abbreviation of besause).

It does matter because one makes sense, one doesn't.

Now what part of 'Alarms ring (be)cause harm is caused' don't you understand?
Title: Re: Fredwreck and Kurupt

Lol it's not that I don't understand that line, it's just retarded and has no substance behind it. The word choice is weak, and it doesn't really tell me anything. It's saying alarms are ringing from the harm being caused. Why is harm being caused? Who is causing it? Think of a verse as a puzzle, and all the lines are pieces to it. Together, they should make a complete puzzle. If you have a bunch of lines that don't relate to each other, it's like having a bunch of pieces from different puzzles so none of them fit together to make a picture.

You want a war with me? Believe I'm tough like Mike Tyson.

I'll come at you RAW with my Bro Roscoe.

We're unpredictable, volatile, and highly provocable - and gonna put you in Hospital.

Gang members gonna get snapped like twigs with our onslaught.

And you'll hear alarms going off like a RIOT's in progress.

"like platinum and gold
I've sold or hold, explosions, hit, explode implode"

This bits more open to interpretation, hence me saying Kurupts got a poetical style. :D
"Hit you like a ton of bricks" springs to mind, with a metaphor for his Album Sales, power of his success etc. 'smash you with rocks like bolders of Gold'. And with the force of an explosion.

"popped, all bodies dropped off on Rider's road."

Dead bodies dumped out of my Honda at the end :D

Alright man we're just gonna have to agree to disagree. Yes I see the relation between the meaning of those lines and your interpretation. I know that's what he was getting at, but it doesn't equate to a good verse with the structure and word choice he uses. And the "story" he is telling he is weak at best. It's just bragging about nothing really.

I will say it's not a story telling track, it's more about gettin hyped and spittin venom over a colossal beat with Daz on the wing! Perfect for the last track on the album.

No probs dude +1

Space Boogie was lyrically rushed at times on alot of tracks. Even the title track, although it has a INSANE beat and Nate on it, it sounded like Kurupt got overly excited and rushed through his verses. Same with F The World to me. You compare it lyrically or poetically to a track like Started or his verse on say Initiated where he lyrically goes in and you can quickly see the difference. Even Trylogy, which tone and lyrically compares more to F The World, SHITS all over that song.

Yeah Trylogy's my jam. On another level! I'm talkin bout how ferocious Kurupt comes on that album towards the end. Energy's clear. He's bitin heads of on the mic.

Space Boogies an outstanding album. It's not the same as Streetz. It's different. But just as important in the guys catalogue. Just on another vibe to his other stuff. 8) 8)

Trylogy was fire, but even on Streetz is a Mutha Kurupt wasn't as consistent lyrically as his Death Row years. Compare those albums to his unreleased tracks like Every Single Day, DPG 4 Life, etc.

Hell yeah! Shit I know that you know that your girlfriend is a hoe! thats shit was banging! the only thing I didn't like is how Kururpt would repeat himself insted of ryming with another word like that song calling out names!   "Empty out! simply don't temp me I empty out!" whats the deal with that?  I like lerics in a song and when rappers repeat simple rymes you can tell when they ain't putting much effort into a song or like they get lazy cuase they big. Like Snoop on some tracks he comes off hard but on others he raps the same shit with his abc raps. Snoop D.O. double gee DPG LBC 213 how many times are you going to keep saying the same rymes its like hollering MIKE JONES in every fucken song!

Agreed. When I first heard "Your Girlfriend" was when I first realized that Kurupt wasn't what he used to be on the mic. You can only use "bitch" and "dick" so many times in a song before it gets retarded.

love the guitar
