:)
this album is a classic
with dre and game it will be better !
-
My money goes to Snoopy's pockets, fo sho!
-
Sounding good
A lot of the tracks seem to have a harder, sampled/soulful vibe with Snoop doing some harder rapping than usual
Gang Bang Rookie sounds mad dope, very nice beat
Superman is ill as well, though I like that kind of country-blues with harmonica, so I guess if that's not your thing you probably won't feel it
-
the only track is didnt like the sound of was my fuckin house....all the other tracks sounded real dope...really looking forward to this album
-
"Peer Pressure" damn! :o
-
aside from "my fuckin house" and "wet" this sounds like it could be one of snoops most consistent albums
-
1. Toyz N Da Hood ((feat. Bootsy Collins) [Edited]) :o :o :o
2. The Way Life Used To Be (Edited) :o :o
10. We Rest N Cali ((feat. Goldie Loc And Bootsy Collins) [Edited]) :o :o
21. Cold Game ((feat. Latoiya Williams) [Edited]) :o :o :o
-
Wow ! Aside from a few tracks, as the homie Plant mentioned, this album seems to be on point ! 8)
-
Damn, didn't realise there were so many tracks on this, gonna have to download this before I think of copping though. Some of the snippets are sounding good, still sounds like a lot of filler on there though
-

def agree!!! man im really surprised, this shit sounds really good!
-
I hope I will be able to download it for free
other wise I dont want to help pay for snoop to have another luxury auto in his garage....

This album is EVEN better than Tha Blue Carpet! Best album BY FAR since the last meal, probably even better!
-
Damn this Album is his best work since Doggystyle ,Snoop is back! What a Year DETOX-DOGGUMENTARY DRE'N SNOOP 2011
-
nice snoopy, very satisfied with this album.. best work since the last meal
-
Snoop bringing 20+ tracks again. Usually most of it is filler, but we'll see. Should definitely be better than his last two albums.
-
Should definitely be better than his last two albums.
Fuck all who said this would be another wack album.

Listened the snippets...and 11 tracks that sounded really good and rest were quite boring...def. sounds better than his last one though, and it's quite similar to Blue Carpet Treatment...
-
I know most of u don't like kanye but "eyez closed" have the potential to be a classic single!
-
It will be probably better than his last 2 but so far it doesn't sound better than blue carpet and certainly not better than Tha Last Meal !?!
-
it was ight. i'ma get high 2 it anyway.
-
sounds good to me. Sounds better than malice in wonderland
-
Toyz N Da Hood ((feat. Bootsy Collins) [Edited]) this song is the best i heard 2011
8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) dope

u have poor taste in Rap music then if that's the case. i love Snoop but this song doesn't.
-
A Snoop album with possibly 5-7 good songs.. it's been a while since I could say that.. looking way more forward to the Pharoahe Monch album dropping a week earlier though.
-

a matter of taste

Sounds fresh! Nothing unexpected as Snoops been on a contemporary pop vibe for his last 3 albums but this one sounds like he got the formular fully right. :pimp:
-
It's definitaly not a classic, not even close, but it is better than everything else he released after the "Last Meal". He could have trimmed the album down to about 15 tracks, left out the bullshit and put out an album that you can listen to without too much skipping. He's on the right track to making another dope album though so for that I give him props, maybe his next album will be the one.
-
cant believe no one mentioned the track with wiz....shit sounds ill as fuck...
-

What's so funny about my opinion? Yeah it's called an opinion first of all lol. But I really think it's on part with Tha Last Meal (with the exception of Wet.)
-
cant believe no one mentioned the track with wiz....shit sounds ill as fuck...
-
amazing, track with gorillaz wow 8)
-
New Years Eve not on there, good decision
too many tracks = too much filler
-
wouldve loved to see this as a double cd album...
1 cd with those funky tracks and the other with that modern stuff.
sounds more like a mix-cd now, instead of an album, but the tracks are still nice. woulve come out stronger that way, i think...
anyway, looking forward to it. sounds like it might be snoops best album since deathrow.. (eastsidaz is not counting...)
-
amazing, track with gorillaz wow 8)
-
This album sounds good 8)
-
wow, this is the first album that i think i'm actually going to buy of snoop's since i bought tha last meal.
It's not a classic or anything, but its definately solid. It's got some fillers on there, but i'd say this is definately worth my 20 bucks.
better than blue carpet treatment
-
New Years Eve not on there, good decision
too many tracks = too much filler
well it wouldn't be the worst track on there if it was
-
I was hoping Nipsey Hussle would get on this album to try and keep some buzz going, ah well.
The album sounds real dope though.
The Eyez Closed song with Kanye brings me back to the Snoop Bounce Remix with the similar rock vibe to it.

this sounds good 8) 8)
-
Damn the feedback of this album as been so strong so far, Snoop could count on the sale of at least 5 to 10 CD's to dubcc members!
Well maybe 5. Don't want him to get him to get any ideas. This is dubcc  :banana_trippin:
-
can 1 of u niggaz put all the snippets in 1 downloadable file

thats a compilation of all the snippets. its missing the intro track "toyz n da hood" though.
-
im feelin majority of the album, altho i would take the following traks out and snoop has a very good album
My F**n House ((feat. Young Jeezy And E-40) [Edited])
Boom ((feat. T-Pain) [Edited])
Gang Bang Rookie ((feat. Pilot) [Edited])
Wet (Edited)
Sumthin Like This Night ((feat. Gorillaz) [Edited])
Raised In Da Hood (Edited)
It's D Only Thang (Edited)
-
Wow! This is very good!
-
Not bad , The funk sound is consistent on the album.....It's 2011 and for Snoop to put an album together sounding like that, good on him..
We all know he can do it, if he put his mind on it....
With WET being on the album, i don't mind as long as it doesn't dictate the sound of the album, which it doesn't, just another fun/nutty snoop song....
Hopefully Snoop keep building on this album
-
cant believe no one mentioned the track with wiz....shit sounds ill as fuck...
I WUZ JUST BOUT TO SAY THAT!!
THAT TRACC AND THE ONE WITH TOO SHORT DAZ AND KOKANE ARE THE ONES IM WAITIN FOR 8)
-
sounds decent besides these tracks= boom, platinum, , wet, my fuckn house,
overall much better than i expected, after his last album was a complete joke
-
Shit sounds really dope!
Also seems like he got some new ghost writers or just that the ones he is using stepped it up a little ;D
Maybe too hard to tell from 30 sec snips. we'll se when it leaks!
-
I'm going to have to check this out but based on those snippets I didn't get too excited...What am I missing?
-

I didn't think Snoop still had it in him. I may actually have to go out and buy this one.
I'd personally cut out a few filler tracks and it would be a modern day west coast classic imo.
1. Toyz N Da Hood (feat. Bootsy Collins)
2. The Way Life Used To Be
3. My Own Way (feat. Mr. Porter)
4. Wonder What It Do (feat. Uncle Chucc)
5. Peer Pressure (feat. Traci Nelson)

Malice wasn't a weak album, it was a good contemporary pop album - and I don't care if that makes it a weak Hip hop album. Snoop was just doing his thing.
More Malice was a decent rap album but most people must've over looked it.
Only weak album Snoop ever made was R&G. And I blame the Neptunes for that ;D
Here's my shock album scorings:
10/10
Doggystyle
9.5/10
Tha Doggfather
The Game Is To Be Sold, Not Told <----------- yes I said it! Hella fonky. Too different for fans of the day. Always overlooked/under-appreciated.
9/10
No Limit Top Dogg
Tha Last Meal
Tha Blue Carpet Treatment
8.5/10
Paid Tha Cost To Be Tha Boss
Ego Trippin'
More Malice
8/10
Malice N Wonderland
Un-rateable
R&G <--------- tho it's probably a 6.5....
-
so doggumentary is better than malice n wonderland (Pronto,i wanna rock, secrets were good i don't like the other track)
doggumentary 8/10
malice n wonderland 6/10
ego trippin 8/10
blue carpet treatment 8/10

People on forums like making lists and scoring things.
Think it's a kind of OCD ;D

I agree lets wait till the album leaks before we judge it

Exactly. You really can't judge an album based on the snippets.

sure, but we already have some songs in full + it's a snoop dogg album, meaning certified filler

i dont see nothing wrong of rating a song after listening 30sec of the song!
most of the songs you can hear what kind of beat it is and the flow and so!
and i just gave from what i heard from the 30sec, this song song classic or shit or so on!
there is nothing wrong with that
what i can say for sure is this album will be best snoop album from snoop since BCT and best no dre produced album by snoop

Your game is to be sold rating is just funny.
Malice, more malice, ego trippin all getting at least 8 hahahhaha
The last meal, diffracted and topp dogg are 8/10 albums and doggystyle is a 10.
Blucarpet is a 7/10. A 7 is a very good rating.
The rest are meh
-
"More Malice" was like a bonus disc or a compilation, i don't even consider it a Snoop Dogg album. "Da Game" gets a lot of hate, but the album has some classics though. I can't believe you rate it higher than "Top Dogg" or "Tha Last Meal" though.
-

That's been the problem with Snoop throughout his whole career. Other than Doggystyle and Malice in Wonderland (which probably should have been made into an ep or scrapped all together), his albums have been about 5-8 tracks too long.
-
XXL review says this is Snoops best album in a decade since the Last Meal

Da Game is just musically stronger than Top Dogg or Last Meal. (If you had to criticize the albums) Dre's influence on an album = stiffer, safer tracks. And both albums are quite 'flat', meaning full of very samey tracks. Top Dogg has quite a subdued tone, like Snoop was playing it safe too. No hate they're both quality albums though! However both are pipped by Da Game....Production on Da Game is full of flare, funky and experimentational... and Snoop just rips it.
-
^^^ musically stronger??? Haahahahhahahahahah
-
XXL review says this is Snoops best album in a decade since the Last Meal
first time i agree with xxl in a long ass time..
-
sounds pretty dope.
-
Peer Pressure sounds very similar to Crazy! And Crazy is my shit! Song shouts out my city 'Santa Ana'!
-
Difficult to judge anything just from snippets, but my first impression is that the production is a mixed bag, for me. Some of it sounds great but some of it sounds like some of the beats that I've heard on Snoop's other more recent albums that were not the type of beats that I like to hear Snoop flowing over. Some of the ones that sound really good to me are "Peer Pressure," "I Don't Need No Bitch," "Boom" "We Rest in Cali," "Take U Home," "Cold Game," and several others. I will say this is probably the most I've looked forward to hearing a Snoop Dogg studio album since "The Blue Carpet Treatment." It definitely sounds better to me than some of his other recent efforts.
