Actually finding this hard to believe right now. Truth be told, I really don't want to believe this news.
I just was listening to the 213 album last night and now I wake up and find that one of my favourite artists (my absolute favourite singer) has died. Honestly don't know what to say, I'm devastated to say the least.
like many here, I've grown up listening to Nate Dogg constantly to the point where he'd become one of my favourite artists in the hip-hop industry. No one could come close to his style, and for sure no one ever will. I was too young and hadn't started listening to hip-hop that much when 2Pac and Biggie died, so this feels like a bigger loss to me right now. Actually feel like crying :'(
R.I.P Nate Dogg. I'll be listening to G-Funk Classics: Volume 1 today like crazy.

Damn this is so sad. I always hoped we would get to hear Nate Dogg sing another hook after his recovery but I guess life goes on. At least he left us an incredible body of work to cherish forever and put our children onto.

in one way its sad, but in the other way i'm happy for him, because he's in a better place, rather than his life that he's been living as a vegetable for the last 6 or so years. I couldnt imagine what kind of torture that would be for him to live like that years on end. There was never any chance that he was going to make any more music after he had those multiple strokes, so i was just hoping that he would be able to recover to live some type of normal life to a degree. No one did those hooks like nate dogg did, and no one ever will. He was a legend, even if he didnt have a platinum album or single of his own. He's been on so many massive hits that sold in the millions, and alot of the time, it was thanks to him with his catchy hooks that they were so successful. He will be missed and his music will live on!

News quickly spread today (March 16) that iconic hip-hop singer Nate Dogg, 41, had passed on Tuesday morning, but early reports where not certain of the cause of the West Coast artist’s death. The Associated Press spoke to his attorney, who revealed the reasoning behind the premature demise of the rap crooner, born Nathaniel D. Hale.
According to his lawyer, Mark Geragos, Nate had succumbed to complications stemming from multiple strokes that he suffered from in 2007 and 2008.
Manager and friend, Rod McGrew, told TMZ that despite Hale’s ongoing health problems, he was making strides in his recovery and his death was unexpected
Nate, who had recorded an abundance of chart topping singles with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tupac, Eminem, Warren G and Ludacris, among others, was memorialized by the hip-hop nation on Twitter. “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb,” longtime collaborator Snoop Dogg wrote on his account. “One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met,” Snoop Dogg tweeted Tuesday night.
“We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world,” McGrew said in a statement. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support.”
As of press time, plans for Nate Dogg’s funeral service are unknown

To be fair to snoop he has tweeted once all day about a show, he tweeted loads about nate dogg through the night. Bad Azz , Kurupt & Young Noble having been active all day. WC & Slim Tha Mobster having being taking shots at people who are jumping on the bandwagon but werent there for him when he was ill. Its, been great to see though the amount of people paying respect to him, the A-Z of hiphop have paid there respects which is good.

Snoop tweeted a shitload about it. E-40 and Quik both said rip. Cube ain't on twitter its his promo team. Stop crying, and stalking celebrity twitters is pretty lame. Its fucking twitter and pretty meaningless. What would be meaningful is spending time with Nate's other friends talking and reminiscing about dude and writing letters of condolences to his fam, which is a pretty personal thing that we would never know about. The bottom line is that you don't know anything about the relationship these artists had to Nate outside of the songs they collaborated on. And twitter isn't going to tell you shit about it.

As big of a Nate Dogg fan as I am, this is the ONLY video interview I have ever seen of him. It seems like Nate always preferred to stay out of the media spotlight, and just do his own thing, which I totally understand and respect. A true artist of his craft. Many artists could take lessons from his ideals.
