Stan:  not really... Dre is more than capable of making music that core fans and average listeners wanna hear, he just doesn't do it for only reasons he knows.  I'm not a Warlock or anything (atleast i haven't seen the papers) but i think it's safe to say that anybody and everybody that wants to hear from Dr. Dre is all on tha same page now pretty much.

no offense 2 u becuz u cool pplz but i'm startin 2 get sick of people coming to defend Dre when every other day there's some producer out there just now getting credit for instrumentals they basically made and Dre just remade over and someone else claiming that they worked on "Detox" (i guess ppl got hip 2 Dr. Dre's "bullshit", i say that with love) and on that note Has anyone ever read the "Relapse" credits?...smh. - Dre & The Aftermath Staff needs to come out with a YT video of him making a beat from scratch with his team like they would normally do it so we can see exactly what the fuck it iz people are talking about when they say "Dre takes to it to another level becuz it's not like it's that hard to make an instrumental, especially those as simple as "Dre's" which kinda bogs my mind right now writing this like "what tha fuck did he do if everybody else did all that", it's not like Dre's on some JUSTICE LEAGUE chit with his instrumentals his shits be simple as Peanutbutter and Jelly sandwiches truthfully (with "3AM" being 1 of the FEW exceptions if not tha only 1 really).

i feel wat Dre is tryna do and i'll support him on "Detox" if that ever comes out but I'm not really geeked like I used to be.  Juicy J is droppin shit left and right that cranks just as hard if not sometimes harder than his older shit (and yes that says alot).  then u got a few of these new niggaz (not everybody) just comin out with harder shit than technically what Dr. Dre has done over the past few years.

i know how 2 get tha ball rolling on and satisfy EVERYBODY with "Detox" (lyrics, beats, and hooks) but i know that'll never happen.  and it's sad too becuz it's so obvious that it's not even funny (but my big headed ass understands maybe Dre just really wants to try something completely brand new on this album, even though there's a remedy 4 that too).

with that said the track sounds average.  i have 2 hear it on some bigger speakers to hear exactly how the beat thumps but honestly when I heard it I wasn't that impressed or interested and it sounded weak if u ask me.  But I did think that waz Dre's best flow in years tho, literally (not like that says alot tho).

Aftermath needs some fresh TALENT/GIFTS on their team (i know it doesnt grow on trees or anything like that but still tho).  Elizondo, Storch, Batshit, and Parker n them are getting old and it's time 4 a new sound (u can't tell me 1 thing that's interesting or crazy about their beats but be my guest tho).  I know they've put in years of work and I know hard work pays off but let's be real here, their shit sounds like it did 6/7 years ago pretty much (i gotta keep it 100).  I think they've had their run together for as long as they could but it's over now and there's other producers shittin' on their shit or that can out thump their shit easy.  It's no secret that I'm a huge Dr. Dre enthusiast but it's kinda fading now truthfully.  Maybe Dre wanted to be an underdog again and that was the only way he could get back to recording the way he wanted to, maybe he wanted to wait until it felt like he had something to prove again,,, i dont know, all i know is that this whole "Detox" thing is boring, overrated/overhyped, and underwhelming and basically is just getting on my fucking nerves.

Still in all the game won't be the same without him but it's kinda like okay my nigga, i think your time is just about up and i think you know it is too.  Yeah you're knight in shining armor Eminem is still there (and so am I) but you're starting to play yourself out with this gimmick and being so quiet about shit (nigga it ain't that serious).  Has anybody seen dude's twitter account lol... it says "Dr. Dre does not Tweet", like who tha fuck this nigga think he is lol smh and that's coming from the heart.  Talking can sink your ship but dude's gotta make some sort've sacrifice becuz he's losing something, what i can't quite put my finger on it this particular second but something's fading... there's some newer niggaz and older niggaz too that'r showing him up on his own shit so to say.  Nigga u Dr. Dre u supposed to be having niggaz trunks rattling Nationwide u supposed to be makin that smooth shit that motivates niggaz to be men uknowwatimsayin'....  i mean it's not like this nigga is really in some sort've catch 22 if u ask me (makin the type of music he's releasing will kill his shit tho i'll tell u that)

(http://www.one-story.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/marieRN.jpg) becuz i know y'all spend all day on the internet looking at bullshit about the same shit having the same arguments and dialog's and bitching and end up bickering with each other lookin wack as fuck truthfully so get some real shit 4 that azz to learn up on.  This is the truth right here, these are THE FACTS (like my man Bill Maher was saying tonight).

yep. and hearing Eminem doing the hook makes me doubt in Dre's legendary perfectionism. Eminem CAN'T sing for fuck sake.

edit: i can already say Eminem ruined that song. I'm not hating tho. Beat sounds dope, Dre's on point but... i know i won't be listening to this song... one spin is all i can do... i can't stand this guy's false yell....

Well, thats pretty much how 'Detox' could be like to me. Of course you can find some weak parts (Eminem), but beat and Dre's parts are hard. Hope Dre will follow that way.

Eminem is fucking annoying I'll give you that but your player hating on the rest... in comparison to the other "detox" tracks this one surpasses them easily, and I've just heard the background version on the show.  That "semi-decent" beat is prolly smokin any other westcoast beat thats out right now ...

For me I will have to listen to Detox for at least a month to get a real feel for it ... 2001 grew on me and I liked it much better with time ... even the source went back and corrected their 4.5 mic rating to 5 years later.
Anyways hopefully he doesn't put Kush or INAD on the album.  I'm okay wiht this one.

Nah, i think alotta ppl r past that ``expectation`` phase yall r talkn abt.  I know wat u r referring to but thats not tha case.  Aftermath just needs some new producers over there, like a super producers squad like all of these ``super group emcees`` we`ve been getting over there like a Dre, Tim, Erick Sermon group or something like that.

Better then the other recent Dre Duds? That's not saying much.

Beat smoking any other west coast beats out there? With the current drought, that's not saying much either.

Him and his homies are yet to drop a single on a quality level of 'G-Thang' for this 3rd solo Dre installment.

I don't think Dre has ever dropped another single on the quality level G-Thang ... That song will define him for the rest of his career.  Shit it was even in Rolling Stone's top 500 songs of all time.  I think ppl have to move on and realize this is 11 years since his last album ... things change.  I have high expectations -very high- for Detox but I'm not gonna make them impossible to live up to.  I dont to hear angels

Hahah nice .. prolly a little truth to it!  Seriously though, I'm convinced that all the detox "leaks" weren't leaks at all.  They were intentional.  I think Jimmy and Dre wanted to get a feel of what the fans liked.  Why?  Cuz how come they can keep the finished versions of INAD and Die Hard under lock until the day or so they drop, but they can't keep a demo version on Dre's computer?  GTFO!   :oi:

Ya I think they were doing their "research"

Guys, guys! Come check it out, come check it out!! They like it! They're saying it's semi-decent and good... it's like winter time over on Dubcc with all the mad chills they're getting!
Detox is GO!"

Let's hope they see the more positive response to this track, and go more in this direction than the INAD direction

Yea 4 sure!  I would laugh my ass off if they released a version with Dre on the chorus instead of Eminem.  Then we would know for sure hahah

How come ppl always want to counter argue something instead of just excepting it 4 what it is?  Nobody wants 2 fuck your ugly ass mother but obviously your father thawt tha bitch was decent enuff 2 hit that nite, it still does not change tha fact that tha bitch is ugly and worthless.  Its blantantly and painfully obvious that there`s still some people out there that just cant admit that Dre is done as far as a rapper and a ``producer``.

Not feeling the eminem part, i like dre's verse sound on it though, kinda reminds me of a proper dre track, the way he comes into a beat or how he wants his acts to come into a beat but as for the beat, shit sounds like some throwaway music for dre back in the day. Dude has fell the fuck off hard if this is the best music he can release and if this is the type of shit he gonna have on detox, instrumental wise, forget loosing to chronic 2001, that shit eating what has come off from this album so far. In terms of instrumentals, some of the early leaks a few years back and kush have better beats. I know some eminem fans will give it a pass just because of eminem being on it but it's decent, nothing more. The beat is so A-B and boring, shits totally uninspired, this gonna make onto detox? lol...Kush is better and that was a blatant attempt at a single.

I remember being so hyped for this album once upon a time and i always have said and still believe that whatever product dre releases if it ever comes out, it'll be solid minimum just because of dre's ear but his sure aint filling me with confidence with this shit. Not that he could give a fuck but you know, just personal opinion! Yet to hear anything near what we would consider a great dre song yet.

Wat up dreday, the part you highlighted i did not mean as in similar in terms of sound to an identical point, more in terms of quality it was like some throwaway music for dre. Quick history lesson from what i can remember from the top of my dome from back then was that dre was on fire at the time and his beats were selling for bucks at the time but once in a while he would sell his lower level beats for cheaper or throwaway beats to lesser niggaz in terms of scale of reach once in a while to make it look like he still gave a fuck about the west and was doing his part. Dude was on fire at the time, like everything he was touching was becoming big like timbaland a few years back and neptunes a while back too...(dre is the only nigga i can think of who has had this phase more than once)...but yeah so he passed some shit to niggaz which was not even a factor for dre...

Now i'll give you a quick one which was a throwaway beat for dre...but was more advanced than this as a beat...more dope than this as a beat, less monotone than this as a beat, more funk than this as a beat...and this for a no factor nigga like mack 10...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Uu5hbZc5yM

Now on die hard, dre uses a more futuristic sound sorta key thing which kicks off the beat but it sounds constipated and then when the simple 'daa=daa' key kicks in, its thicker than he previous music but it's so monotone and simplified its crazy. Now before you say dres music has always been simple, it has not. Dude had multiple layers to his music and then some effects and natural funk with his brilliant ear but its like he has stripped everthing out of his more recent shit these years and just left beats sounding like skeletons of his past work. When you get past the thickness of the sound or the futuristic attempt, you realise dre aint pushing boundries like he used to and making shit to the top of his ability. All die hard is, is a simple A-B dre beat, like some throwaway music. I followed dre's career for way to long to say this is the type of shit dre be producing when on top of the game. Like i said, its nothing better than decent at best in my opinion.

Dre has always been producing simple/minimalistic beats (of course with couple exceptions). And the beat we've heard was in a weak quality, so we probably didnt get to hear the whole structure.  I dont mind tho, I find this beat hard arleady.

Simple is what works though.  I tried playing the bass for about two months and I picked up deep cover in the first week.  That shit is SO easy its unbelievable.

ALso think of one of the biggest pop hits of all time: Billie Jean.  That bass is looped for the whole song, maybe a 2 bar piece?  Less is more.

so far this and "Topless" (Em version) are the 2 best tracks to leak..."Kush" was good too. Expectations are clearly too high. Just let it drop and be satisfied with whatever u get, cuz u know there's gunna be heaters on that shit. I was also doubting Dre when "Chillin" and "Mr. Prescription" dropped, but if he's still makin some real shit along with it, I have no doubt there will be classic material on the album...Dre's always recorded hundreds of songs for his albums, he did the same with "2001"...Difference is, those days were different and the internet was not what it is today. I guarantee that Dre already has an albums worth of classic material recorded for "Detox"...simply put, he's lookin for the single that'll make it sell like he personally wants it to. Whether he finds that single is still up for debate...but I am not gunna doubt the fact that the album will be filled with knockers.
