Is it the production? I've noticed on some of Tech's more recent albums the production is really uneven, with some good beats and some that are practically un-listenable. Whatever the case, I'll still give this album a try and see how it sounds to me. I actually liked most of "K.O.D." but the songs on the last couple Collabos albums were hit or miss, imo.

Just finished listening. I haven't completely formed my opinion of the overall album. My one criticism right off the bat though, is that there are 5 skits and after listening to them, all 5 of them seem pointless. I think he could have easily lost those. On a more positive note, the version of the album that I have is the itunes deluxe version and I will say that I really like the three bonus tracks. To me, right now they stick out as some of the best songs on the album. I haven't yet listened to the Best Buy bonus tracks or the Strange Music website pre-order track. I guess I will try to track those down next. In the mean time I think I need to listen to the album a couple more times before I'm able to form an opinion of the album in its entirety.

I got the album in the mail today, after a few quick listens I think the album is solid but not his best. I really like that "dark" music he makes and I don't think it has that feeling. I guess he can't always be such a dark place ;)
I got the bonus song "Fans" from the Strange Music site, that song would be one of the best from the album.

I just checked i-tunes, it's bullshit, you can't download the bonus tracks unless you buy the whole album. I want the tracks but aint buying the album again.

Albums should end just at the right time in a perfect world but I'd rather a 12 track album that makes me wish it was longer then a 20 track album that makes me wish it was just over already. Thier albums need to be 12-15 tracks max. Bot 20 plus. Big scoob doesn't need 26 fucking tracks

After a few more listens, the new album is not too bad. I kind of agree with you about the length of the album. He could have probably cut a few of the tracks. And in my opinion, he could have easily lost all of the skits. Actually, all of the bonus tracks that I've heard are good. So, he probably could have cut the skits and replaced them with some of the bonus tracks and it would have been a very good release. Overall, I'd say it's still a solid release. I'd say on the album itself, there are 5 to 6 tracks that he could have easily lost, but that's out of 24. I still haven't heard "F.A.N.S." but the Best Buy and Itunes bonus tracks are all pretty good.

Lynch's last 2 are conceptual. Tech's new album really does not follow a theme like Lynch's does.

Got this in the mail yesterday, first Tech Album I've bought and I was quite impressed. Some hooks are pretty grating "Owe Like Pookie" being one, but overall it's a pretty dope and cohesive album. That track with B.O.B. is fire

I'm not a big Tech fan, but I do live in Kansas City. So I thought some of ya'll would be interested to know that their are billboards all over KC promoting the album. His label must of bought out dozens of Billboards in the area, to post the album advertisement for the year. The surprising part about it is that the billboards aren't just in the metro or in the hood, these billboards are also in predominately white suburbs/cities in the area as well. Even smaller cities where you wouldn't expect Tech to generate any sales.
As for radio the local radio and media doesn't really support him here in KC. And out in the hood of KC they don't support him much either any more. They really have no taste in music so that says more against them than it does about Tech. In the hood in KC they basically like that South, club shit, Niki Minaj, Weezy, type stuff, or lesser known rappers like Rich the Factor stuff like that.
Last time the city was really support Tech was around 99 and 2000 when he was doing the 57th Street Road Dawgs project and the Sway and Tech joint he did he was gettting alot of support around that time.
...just thought I'd post that if anyone cares. I respect Tech for his talent, btw.

I dont care if someones using your or you're or they're or there, but long run on sentences that make little sense with poor English is just unreadable.Especially when that poster is questioning other peoples education.
