Where as I DJ in the nite clubs to crowds and parties, "live", the real thing, with Turntables etc etc. Not a computer program doing all the mixing 4 you.
My song/s get played by plenty of my DJ friends, and every time I play, I get people requesting my song/s, so of course I blend them into the mix thru out the night.

iam not dissing Clint but here in South Australia no ones heard of him but i cant speak for everybody and the young people i mean i dont follow the Aussie rap scene all that much but as mentioned lots of Aussie rappers have gotten really really big like The hill top hoods from South OZ are opening for Eminem, etc.
Several OZ rappers have done collabos with US rappers but none as much as Clint, thats for sure.

I'm not dissing Clint Dogg and in fact I'm digging this track. But theres no real buzz down here in Melbourne but then again I don't hang out in the aussie hip hop crowd. Yes I'd heard of those guys on the list that was presented on here. The thing with Aussie hip hop, it's got a bit of an old school flavor (at least the stuff they play on Triple J) and therefore a track like this would not be played on Triple J maybe on there hip hop show but I doubt it. This is club hip hop but I don't think people are going to buy into the image that goes with the track. Just my opinion and hopefully Clint Dogg does get some success obviously he's putting in some effort.
And while I may laugh at some of the posts directed towards Clint Dogg, at least he's putting his hard work and passion into something that isn't sounding horrible. The people bagging him out are pretty immature

There is no difference.
Clint should be self-aware and smart enough/old enough to know that his apperance, and nationality will bring a lot of doubters, and crtisisms. But his problem lies in the fact that he thinks everyone should be automatically bowing down to him because he has westcoast features.
There are a lot of examples of rappers who have worked their way from the intertnet, and using youtube/forums/blogs/social networking to work their way up and who are humble, mature and more importantly - "professional" enough to handle the crtisism and know that not everyone will like your work. Clint is not one of them

It helps to take direction, make different tracks for those different audiences if desired. You need to take note, and start realising what the music business is about. It's not about trying your hardest to create some gangster image for yourself, and getting all mad when people make fun of you for it. It's about (business-wise) making a load of product that appeals to a lot of people

I have more pity, and humour in the fact that he refuses point blank to listen to ANYTHING negative, or constructive, despite it being a crucial part in anyone's creative progress as a artist.

Clint not coming on here to promote his songs is like me saying that the energy sales team who came around to my door the other day wern't trying to get a sale. They were simply just letting me know about their great energy prices, and offers.
