Title: Westkoastanostra
Post by: love33 on October 09, 2011, 09:03:22 PM
This was by far Boo Ya T.R.I.B.E.'s best effort and is a slept-on classic in my opinion.  I still bump this every now and then but I think that this album never got its due.  "State of Emergency" is my favorite track with Knoc spittin that venom on the hook.  Eminem and B-Real came correct on "911" and "Bang On" with Mack 10 is a banger.  Kurupt had a nice verse on his track and "Take Yo Fade" was heat with Crooked and Eastwood killin the track.  "Legends" was a West Coast classic and I think the track was also on the video game "True Crime: Streets Of L.A. (another good soundtrack)".  Overall, I had to revisit this and remind everyone that this is one of the most slept-on albums of all time.  I would like to see the West drop more releases like this...just 12 marvelous tracks of heaven that fit together.

I had huge hopes for this album when i heard Battlecat produced the whole album except for "911", but i was really dissapointed. I haven't heard the album in years though, i think i should give it another chance.

I preferred their other one. Mafia lifestyle? Something like that. The whole album was that smooth West sound, and there's a lot of gems on there
