Very Good Album Im Very Impressed With Jeezy :)

1. Waiting - 3.5/5. This is an alright opener. I don't like how it starts but when the beat drops, it improves the overall sound/vibe of the track. Jeezy's first verse is nice.
2. Just Like That - 3.75/5. Always love some Jeezy/Drumma. The hook is tight. The flow overall is better than the first track.
3. OJ - 3.75/5. It sounds different than most Jeezy tracks so that's a plus. It's smooth and works. All three artists have good verses.
4. Nothing - 3.5/5. Another Lil Lody track. About on the same level as the opener, decent but not as good as tracks 2 & 3 IMO.
5. Way Too Gone - 4/5. Mike Will getting his shine. This goes pretty hard! Probably the best Future verse I've heard lol.
6. SupaFreak - 4/5. Can't go wrong with D. Rich & Shawty Redd. This goes pretty hard too. Future & 2 Chainz guest features back to back makes sense lol.
7. All We Do - 3.5/5. Always liked Midnight Black/Jeezy collabs but this doesn't stand out for me. It's good, but more in the lane of tracks 1 & 4 for me.
8. Leave You Alone - 4/5. Happy to see a Warren G beat here! This is smooth and fits the Ne-Yo hook perfectly. I like this, single potential for sure.
9. Everythang - 3.5/5. A little overkill on the Lody at this point. Not a bad track once again, but doesn't do anything for me.
10. Trapped - 4.75/5. Love to see Jill Scott on this; she's dope. The beat is very nice, joint reminds me of "Don't Do It." Definitely a standout.
11. F.A.M.E. - 4.5/5. Also a nice introspective joint. Loved this since it first came out. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League have the two best joints on the album so far.
12. I Do - 3.75/5. I like this joint. You'd hope for something better than this from these three but I still dig it.
13. Higher Learning - 3.75/5. I like Mitchelle'l but Devin should have done the hook. Lil C/Mitchelle'l, definitely a Grand Hustle thing. Fits Snoop & Devin well. I don't hear Wiz?
14. This One's for You - 3.5/5. Glad to hear Trick Daddy on here; he always sounds dope. This is alright overall.
15. .38 - 4/5. Glad Jeezy added Gibbs to this to reinvent the track. This is a banger and adding Gibbs makes it that much better. Gibbs' flow is SO clean, untouchable.
16. Ballin' - 3.5/5. Oldie, not bad to have on the deluxe. Thought it'd be a bigger single than it was.
17. Lose My Mind - 3.75/5. Another oldie but cool to have on the deluxe. Like this better than "Ballin."
18. Never be the Same - 3.5/5. I like the difference in sound but it's just alright.
Overall this is a very solid album, better than I expected (I expected to be let down). It's probably better than "Recession" and about on par with "TM102."

never really understood why "scared money" wasnt pushed at all.

How is that Warren G song?

Madsen: While I'm listening
Mau: Smooth!

I love I DO
This is pure hip-hop. It's about 3 grown ass men talking confidently about aspects of life they desire - a strong women and children.
Andre 3000 is so fucking phenomenal. GOD DAMN! I want his new album NOW. Every verse he was on he's murdered this year.

Jeezy is rapping about his love dealing crack, Jay about the Game (Rap/Crack) and 3 Stacks about a pregnant woman. I think this is one of Andre's weaker verses, he hasn't really impressed me too much this year, used to be a lot better back in the day.
Looking forward to peeping this album though 8)

that's what great about those verses is that they serve at once about a woman and then also the other. it's dope. nuff said

Damn!! I Knew I Should Have Brought My Hard Drive To Work!!...Ah Well...I'll D/L This Later!
-
Mau: Smooth!
After listening to it a few times I have to say this is not exactly Warren's best produced song. :-\
-
How is that Warren G song?
-
listened to this shit a few times now. very dope. that drumma boy track is ridiculous. didnt disappoint. gonna give it another month or so before i judge it in relation to recession

Mau: Smooth!

agreed, i don't like what's going on in the beat so much, particularly the drums don't seem to blend in well.

Can we at all at least agree that after Warren's last album, we'd think a song he produces for Jeezy would be more of a southern imitation?

Not sure what you mean by that comment, but I personally always liked WG's previous album.

I meant that people would assume a Warren G-Young Jeezy record would sound like this:

I thought there was a song on this album featuring Eminem and Freddie Gibbs?

It's out there, called "talk to me" but didn't make the album

i heard it was i-tunes bonus track.

Wack, can't listen to the same beats for one hour. Trapped, F.A.M.E., I Do are probably the only songs I will listen to again. When I think about it, I was never a fan of his CD's, just few songs here and there.
-
What a waste of an Eminem collab...
-
To me this is up there with TM101. OJ, Trapped, F.A.M.E., Leave You Alone and I Do give another variance in the soundscape to keep things interesting. Way Too Gone and Nothing both sound epic in a good system. Whoever mixed and mastered this record did a really good job. Jeezy does his thing on every track as well. Just ordered the version with the DVD online then, looking forward to watching that 8)
Also in my opinion Jeezy consistantly makes his dopest shit with Justice League so it's good to see them with 2 beats on here
-
I see nobody talking about "Higher Learning", it's a banger. 8)

Finally!
Been saving a bit of Haze just for this occasion too.

Haha lethal combo if you got right speakers too

Yeah I got a pretty good system. Music like this really needs it. And because of that albums like this need to be sonically good too, luckily this one is.
Great album otherwise too. Listened to it like 10 times already in such a short time so I feel pretty safe saying that. My favorite songs are maybe "Everythang" and "Trapped", also I like how they follow eachother.
The weed was "too good". Smoked a little and then got lost in the music and forgot about it. Well more for later (now)! 8)
