not sure about the singing on the hook either, nice in parts but i liked ti's rapped hook 'a party aint a party', that was hella catchy.
oh well, at least something extra was down to the leak and it was a dope leak indeed. that's something, but that's gotta be it for this joint now. s shame cause IMO this coulda been a classic jam with something closer to the previous lyrics (maybe dre/snoop on the track) and the fulll, full production treatment.

glad they finished and mastered and released this finally.
but i prefer the original flow and lyrics. Dre's flow on this new one is way too fast and complex for him to keep up. You can tell somebody like eminem or t.i wrote it for him. And I know dre's usual flow is slow and boring compared to this type of flow, but it suits him better, especially on this type of beat.
But its all good... At least i have a high quality version to bang in the ride for awhile! 8)

like i said, ur probably just used to that version...when ur used to something and u hear something new that's been altered, u naturally tend to veer towards liking the original version. i think if this were released and u never played out the OG version, u'd like it just the way it is. i know what u mean with the smooth laid-back flow fitting this beat better, but honestly, dre pulled off the multi fast paced shit just as good, if not better.

"I Need A Doctor" was a huge song though, double platinum, 150mil views on Youtube. If we couldn't get an album off the back of a genuine hit (commercially not critically) then yeah, we'll never get it. Dre's brand is more valuable to Beats without the fear of a flopped or disappointing album unfortunately.
