Is it only me who thinks Zack De La Rocha is/was one of the most underrated rap lyricists of the 90s? probably it's beacuse he was a member of a rap/rock band but still his lyrics were on another level when RATM were at their prime. Lyrics full of revolutionary rawness without literal language. something you could interpret in so many ways...
I guess most of board members won't agree but for me when it comes to political rap lyrics  - Zack >>>>>>>>>>>>> Ice Cube..

why y'all always got to compare one artist to another...zack and cube are both great
but anyways, i don't think that zack is really underrated, rage against the machine got millions of fans worldwide

Word, he's a really great MC, though people don't really put him in the conversation when talking about great MCs, because he's in a rock band

well we got to compare one artist to another. this is something you can't avoid. It's hard to watch the movies without comparing one to another, listen to a song without comparing it to another. I don't think it's a bad thing. it's a natural thing.

I agree both Cube and Zack are great but i believe most people asked about "political rap lyricist" will name Cube and overlook Zack, while both of them had great international careers. Don't forget Zack was almost always 100% political with his lyrics while Cube was half gangsta half political. That's what i was trying to say with that comparison.

Of course i'm not mad, sad or anything like that. I just wanted to point it out and get to know your opinions.

btw. thanks for the Quik remix! I've never heard it before!

yes he was quite active as a strictly rap music artist during 90s and released some rap EPs
