The idea of a big announcement from Eminem, no matter how small, would have been a big deal to me once upon a time. It's kind of sad that I really could care less these days.
Not trying to insult the thread, just reflecting on my life and musical tastes, and how both have changed so much.

Shady Records has decided to announce that the slim shady persona is dead again, and that Marshal Mathers is not afraid to take a stand, while making radio friendly tracks, and work with the pop artist he's generally made fun of, by making a new album called "OD" Ft. Slaughter House, and will feature production from Dr. Dre, ready to be released as a side disc for Detox, along with Crooked Is album... :o

Your tastes may have changed, and music is usually targeted towards the youth. But another factor could be that Eminem and Shady Records isn't the force it used to be back when Eminem was in his prime (1999-2003).

I think in this case it's the same music that is simply getting stale. Now if it were a new huge announcement from the Drake camp, that'd be me simply being out of the target demographic, but with Em, he simply hasn't produced anything groundbreaking since the early part of the last decade, that he needs to put up first, and until then shut up.
The last album was ok, but more of the same, and nothing any better than before.
