it's about the features too... a light skinned "negroid" will be considered black whereas a tanned/swarthy caucasian will be considered white. that's how demographics in America are set up (where you have categories "african american" "caucasian" "latinos (white & non-white)", "asian", "mixed race" etc.). after the Plessy v. Ferguson case of 1896 which racially segregated America, even a person with 1/8th of African-American ancestry was considered Black. That's why you had people who were hiding their heritage or buying forged documents which proved their whiteness. nowadays, there are more and more people who declare themselves of mixed ancestry in national recensement.
call Sik or Spice 2 white all you want, they have been considered Black by society and the powers that be (whatever that means lmao). same for Bizzy Bone (random example lol) who is half Italian-American. it's starting to change as society is becoming more racially mixed. when you're of mixed ancestry, unless you're white and have caucasian features (if you have caucasian blood), you're most of the time considered black or whatever the other half (or quarter) is. there's even racism within families because of such matters.
