Title: Visiting California
Post by: green-eyed bandit on May 10, 2012, 03:55:21 AM
Hi, I will be visiting california in the next 3 weeks. Any Recommendations of good music stores (cds)? I will be visiting San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, among other cities. Are there any hip-hop related concerts in May?
And ow yeah: I'm trying to see a Clippers game live! Hope they make it to the second & third round!  :) How can I buy the cheapest tickets?

Tx!

I'm not sure where you are visiting from, but with all there is to do out here, why would you waste your time in a cd store? You can find ANY cd you want on the internet. Going to a store you may find absolutely nothing.

Well I hope you have a great visit.  Just be careful when you go to frisco.  Media loves to act like that city is perfect but they're just as violent as oakland[shooting death capital of california & west coast]  And avoid San Murdardino at all costs too.  Fry's is a good place to check for music but its stores are very rare.

Backside records in Burbank has a decent selection, but they kinda changed to selling clothes and posters. I'd recommend it if you're into vinyls n shit.

You’re kidding right? San Francisco isn't bad at all. I live there and being originally from Cleveland, San Francisco isn't shit. Just homeless people and hipsters.

Side note for the visitor: don't waste your time looking for CD stores, just enjoy the beautiful city and all it has to offer. If you’re a fan of whisky and food go to Broken Record. Awesome food.

Check out this website for cheap shit to do:

My advice stay away from Fisherman Wharf, check out The Sutra Baths, Lands End, Broken Record, 21st Amendment, Park Chalet (end of golden gate park by Ocean beach). And last but not least carry a back pack around with you with a hoodie in it. It’s one of the nicest week in SF we’ve had in a while, so have fun. But it gets chilly when the sun goes done. Just because its Cali doesn’t mean it’s warm.

Hard to buy CD's from an actual CD store any more.  Remember Tower Records and those types of stores? I used to hang there for hours. Have a sick trip bro.

I'm not sure where you are visiting from, but with all there is to do out here, why would you waste your time to drive to LA to play a basketball game?

You not from Bay Area.  There are like 5 Fry's within an hour drive.  And they don't have shit for selection unless he want's Miley Cyrus.

You know you don't have a vehicle ghost, you couldn't drive to LA if you wanted to. Maybe you could borrow mommies car, but she probably wouldn't let you go to LA. Better stick around so she can look after you.

i think all of dubcc, can agree on one thing, even ink and cham, will b and mike , that acgrundy's social life is non-existent,

who in the world would drive all the way to LA from the bay to "fight" and end up playing basketball?

do you not have friends u rather kick back and chill with? than driving 10 + hours back and forth only to stay in LA for what an hour?

shit i rather just kick at home by myself.

It's quite entertaining when Grungy pops into a g spot thread.
