Iam currently watching "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion" 19 episodes in. Seems pretty cool. Interesting animation style. Few laughs and pretty decent story.
Also watching "Naruto Shippuuden" i think iam up to around episode 260 odd. Gotten a little behind. I like to let the episodes build up when up catch up.
I checked out a couple of episodes of "Rosario Vampire " watched a couple of episodes with some mates. Rather funny, very pervy, pantie shots galore lol.
Its a bit cliché, as alot of anime is. A nice, weak, polite, etc guy finds himself in a situation where he befriends a very cute attractive girls and it leads to him being fought over by a whole bunch of other girls all battling for his attention. The girl he first becomes friends with is a vampire. Cheesy but funny.
I recently seen "The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" long and slow but superb animation.
"Mardock Scramble" Was pretty cool too. Tripped out animation. Keeps showing a 15 year old naked too lol :P
Watched one episode of "Blue exorcist" Seemed pretty cool. About a guy who is the son of Satan but his mother is human.
Best anime i've seen for a while would probably be Highschool of the dead" Really friccing cool.
What chas watching? seen the ones mentioned above? I know there gotta be some Naruto fans? I remember a work mate joking YEARS ago we'd be 30 and the series would still be going. He was right lol.

What do you mean, like people taking the piss or people genuinely trying to look like and act like anime characters? Often at anime conventions during the awards for best costumes people will do a little skit, playing the character they are dressed as.
Cosplay can be very very good or very very bad lol.

Seeing Legend of the overfiend when i was 14 blew me away.
I fell in love with anime. Of course at that age seeing carttons with hot girls and nudity, violence, swearing and sex is really cool and funny.

nah like one or 2 of my friends still watch it but i dont think regularly though, i cant watch cartoons too much anymore, just family guy or futurama here and there. the only anime i can stand to watch right now are violent adult ones like cowboy bebop or kenshin type of shit.
i mean im asian so i grew up watching those type of cartoons at a young age, and not till it got popular on toonami n shit lol

Yeah well its funny cos i dont really like Western cartoons(of course simpsons and south park funny as fuck) i think the Japanese are far superior when it comes to animation and iam not only saying that because or perversion lol.
I like how in Japanese anime and video games they go more deep than alot of western, more real, more um even emotional? like main characters dieing, sad shit happening, unhappy endings, etc.
Yeah well i watch alot of comedy slice of life ones these days but i used to love fighting and violent ones the most.

Yeah most of the classics are from that era. Hell sing was pretty cool.
Like everything anime is mass produced and alot of copying/un original but for the most part it works.
Like the JRPG's not many classics like their used to be and same shit, became cliché and un original largely but again i just like their style.
I'd recommend Highschool of the dead. The fan service can get a bit silly but its really awesome. Hmm, "Samurai champloo" really rocks its a great mix of hip hop and the feudal/samurai/ninja era.
I've actually gone pretty blank on what other newer ones have been particularly good or that aren't just funny and pervy.
I download lot of fan subs with un rememberable titles too so yeah..
I go through phases where i dont watch bugger all myself.

Fair enough. Its funny how we are all different. Anime had instant impact on me. There have been periods i havent watched much or lost some intrest but for the most part i've been rather into it there were moments of obsession.
I just think American cartoons have really crappy animation and most of their cartoons are either for kids or family. The adult ones are silly porn or just comedy, shock value comedy. Not enough substance but light hearted fun.
I find anime to have better animation and alot more substance and variety. Some are clearly for a teenaged audience, some kiddy, some adult, some for all plus some for male some for female.
Comedy, serious, porn, romance, robot/mechs, sci fi, feudal era/ninjas, fighting/martial arts, high school, horror, mythical, medi evil, futuristic, magical girl, etc just all kinds of styles. Not just all the same like The Simpsons/futurama/south park/family guy/American dad. Stripperella was cool though lol
I guess its the whole culture, like the cosplay and conventions where as many other people would prefer super heros and sci fi(i like sci fi), comic books, world of war craft and the like.
2ND EDIT: Drawn together was cool too, and Ren & Stimpy. And of course American cartoons did influence the Japanese initially. Like how teh female school uniform was influenced by British sailors and teh male uniform by Russian soldiers.
I used to be totally obsessed with JRPG's too and think they were way better than western ones and whilst i still do prefer teh Japanese style and play more Japanese ones, Games like Dragon Age, Fallout, Mass effect, etc leave JRPG's looking VERY linear.

Recent good ones i played that were dope are "The Last remnant", "Lost odyssey", Star ocean 4", "Resonance of fate" and currently playing "Nier"
I see theres lots of JRPG's on PS3. I'll get one one day.
Watched some Naruto. I do like it but its getting a bit stupid. They aint even ninjas anymore more like super human or magic users or gods. And the fillers/recaps really do get tiresome. Like one of those women shows like days of our lives or something.
Somehow keeps you interested though and wanting to see what happens next..
I do like long anime series, gives more opportunity for twists and turns and character development but sometime i like it just short n sweet. Naruto crazy long.
12-24 episodes is enough sometimes.

a friend wanted to introduce me to the "One Piece"-saga, but the show is like 600+ episodes or somethin, n its still goin. so i couldnt get into it, fuck it
i used to like the shorter OVA's and most of all, the movies. preferably the old stuff, the new anime-stuff out there is too "noisy", goofy & silly to me
"highschool of the dead" looks cool though. i heard someone mentiond it before, might give it a go on dvd someday. been a while since i enjoyed anime

same here, my big bro put me on rpg's at an early age. started with secret of mana in 94-95 (not an rpg though, but close enough), and moved to pretty much everything squaresoft did between that and 2002 (secret of evermore, chrono trigger, chrono cross, vagrant story, saga frontier, etc.). i've lost track ever since. suikoden II was the shit, too !!
as far as animes, I was really into it as a kiddo. I mean they stopped broadcasting Dragon Ball Z here when i was 7 (I'm 24) and that pissed me off back then (even though I own all the mangas), but france was/is huge on animes, from captain tsubasa, city hunter, fly, ranma 1/2, etc. and as a kid I started reading mangas (not that much though), like Akira, Gunmn, etc.
never got into animes that much after that though, i mean pretty much all my friends are huge manga readers and watch religiously animes like Naruto, Hajime No Hippo, Bleach, One Piece and so forth but I never took the time to watch them, i should give it a try i guess.

It was a rare multi player RPG for those days too. One of the best games ever.
Yeah when Square Enix was actually Square Soft they were the shit. They were so much better back in those days. Things went down hill but what do you expect when the creator and originator of Final Fantasy leaves and dose his own thing?
i was never actually into Dragon ball. Ranma 1/2 is pretty awesome. I never seen all of them but that show is very funny.
I actually dont read manga. Love anime but manga dosent interest me in the slightest.

Theres anime/video game convention here soojn. they alway pretty cool. You'd be surprised that its always 50/50 male females and prolly only 60-70% geeks lol.

Seen em all except the macross one. I was about 14-15 when i seen most of those. i need to watch Akira and ghost in the shell again. Mermaid forest was the first anime i saw(knowing it as anime).

The Hayao Miyazaki films are all wonderful. Akira is a work of art. Street Fighter II is ok/passable but it's also fairly dumb and boring as ass. Found Fist Of the North Star boring too, but I only saw it dubbed (which is often horrible).

Got Ghost In The Shell 2.0 the other day, kinda dissapointed. Seems more like Ghost In The Shell 1.1. Dunno if they didn't have enough time/money/love to finish it.

There's shit loads of English ones. Works out cheaper, instead of paying so much for each DVD join a site and download fuck loads.
You'll find some will only be available in Japanese with English subtitles and some will have no subtitles, even be censored if its brand new and straight out of Japan with no out of Japan release but you'll find plenty of sites in English with uncensored hentai in English.

I dont know any free hentai sites that have good quality hentai vids for download. you could find alot that stream it free iam sure but i doubt in good quality.
I have joined a couple/few hentai sites over the years but really remember off the top of the head. I used to have a source that good get em in for me back in teh day lol actually used to buy em but i torrented alot and if you dont want top pay $30 to join a site then join one of those peer to peer sites like usenet or file sonic etc etc and leech from there but iam inexperienced with those that sort if software as far as actually finding the source of the downloads.
Some hentai is nasty, its not all monsters/tentacles, dick girls, under age girls and rape/molestation/bondage/slavery. Theres one or two that arent like that anyways. :laugh:

I got sick of Naruto after about 500 episodes lol.. -_-; (i think i was up to around 150 odd in Shippuuden, i forgets?)
I've probably watched around 60-65 episodes of Fairy Tail. Pretty much Naruto replacement for me.
I was watching oreimo. Never finished season 1, i still plan too.
Checked out episode one of strike the blood, seems cool.
Me and a mate watched the first episode of maken ki. Pretty funny. Was watching Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase but stopped somewhere along the line, same with god only knows. Spice and wolf is another that i started watching but haven't finished either.
Guess i have a bad habit of not finishing series, i do the same shit with video games often too..
I know that one piece is popular and it has been recommended but prolly wont ever get around to it.

But iam still a bit old fashioned. I still like to download torrents. Dunno i guess i like collecting anime even though i don't watch most of it and very rarely re watch any^^; My net is a bit shit too though so sometimes downloading is the better option for me, as opposed to streaming.
I remember back in the day i used to hire all my anime on VHS. Then i actually started collecting and buying anime and hentai on VHS imported from America. Then i was addicted to hiring anime DVDs and ripping and burning them. Then i started buying alot of locally released anime DVD's.
But in the end downloads took over. I moved out of home and couldn't afford anime anymore. I went through a phase where i was obsessed hey, almost otaku like. Walls covered in posters and wall scrolls and figurines everywhere.
Holly shit i spent some cash on that back in the day. Much like JRPG's. I own so many that i haven't even played lol...
I guess anime and JRPG's go hand in hand. Haven't played one for a while. The last few i did play were on PS2!(i do own a 360 though).
But yeah i guess these days streaming is the way to go and it dosent fill up all your hard drives.
I've only ever seen an anime in the cinema before twice (spirited away and a really good CG one that i forget the title of) i may even go see the Puella Magi Madoka Magica movie this saturday lol.
Well i have seen several animes on the big screen at conventions but they always pretty crappy screens with crap seating and picture and sound lol.
Its cool being in a big room full of people that understand anime and the humor though.
Back on Naruto, i remember me and alot of Asians at my work were all watching it. My mate made a joke(but being serious too) that we'd all be in our thirties and still be watching it! (Due to it dragging out like a woman's soap and all the fucking re cap episodes) and what do you know, he was right! lol..

I watched the first two episodes earlier today before the cricket. Pretty awesome. The animation is fantastic and iam liking the story so far. Going to watch another ep or two now before going to bed.
Can see myself getting into this.

Five episodes in. Its pretty cool. Great animation, the English dub is pretty good. Likeable story, cute girls. I like the story line. Its set in an on line game, medi evil fantasy type of theme.

Last anime I saw was High School of the Dead but that was back in 2011. Was never really an anime fan. Gets pretty boring with those filler episodes. I also liked what the animes Adult Swim showed back in the day like Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Scryed and most of the others ones. Looking forward to the Majin Buu saga of DB Kai.

HSOTD was epic. http://justdubs.tv/ is a very good site for anime if you like English dub and don't mind streaming. Its only the very long series like Dragon ball or the worst offender Naruto and series like that that have those boring filler episodes.

Finished sword art on line. Was really good. Currently watching "strike the blood" seems good so far.

iam still only 15 episodes into "strike the blood" but i also watched the first episode of "yuru yuri" It seemed a bit girly and kiddy but was kinda funny and was a bit pervy..lol
Seen the first four episodes of "Vividred Operation", great animation. Seems ok. A bit cliche an silly, repetitive but nice characters and pervy.
Also the first three episodes of "is this a zombie" this one ios really funny! its a bit (intently) whacky and silly but very funny. Started to head a bit on the harem side but it even has a joke about cheesy harem anime. Good for a laugh, bit wrong at times.
I watched that last one in English and the lovely chermi leigh. Whom voices characters such as Asuna (sword art on line) and many others and whom i had the pleasure of meeting on three occasions at Avcon. Got things signed and got a photo ^_^

I finally finished "strike the blood" not a bad series. Not fantastic but decent.
Watched some more "is this a zombie" It started really good but seems not as good where iam up to now.
I've watched a few random ones here n there with mates, random ones that i have downloaded or just at streaming sites. Seen a few that were a bit crappy, cute, harem, girly, kiddy, shit, etc
BUT, anyways, i just started watching "no game no life" watched the first three episodes. REALLY GOOD!
I love the style! the animation is very good, i like the characters, i like the story, its funny, a little pervy, a little silly both without going overboard.
Its quite original which has become kind of rare with anime.
its a bout a boy and a girl(brother and sister) that are both gamers, like a team and they get pulled into a wolrd where everything is decided via the outcome of a game. Kind of hard to explain but its very good(so far).
Episode three was a bit silly but i recommend.
