for real, doesn't take away the fact that i enjoyed his albums for the beats and the vibe and for HD too, but he's always been pretty bland and uninspired as a rapper. he came correct occasionally though (hood life, cavvvvy sounds, still rollin).

i doubt it, let's not the amazing music produced by Total Tracks Productions (Tracy Kendricks & Courtney Branch) blindside the fact that HD never was a dope mc to begin with (always been a dope hook singer though). no wonder dude didn't drop more than two albums, cause he quickly run out of things to say and nobody would give him a deal. however crappy the music gets today you still get rappers with more interesting things to say and more interesting ways of rapping and writing.

Haven't got this yet, but was thinking how dope it would be for 1/2 Dead, Kokane & Butch Cassidy to form a group. And release an LP.

I got mine a couple of days ago. I wish it would've had the credits, other than that it's all good; another dope 1/2 Dead album for the collection. His voice sounds a little different than on his first two albums, he sounded a little smoother before but I'm sure that's just the way he wanted to sound this time around (I'm not complaining, just an observation). This is his third album over the course of 18 years, who 1/2 think he is, Dr. Dre? But for real, I hope we get another one sooner than later, I've always liked Lil 1/2 Dead.

On a side note, I remember a while back reading a thread about Warren G not really being featured as much as he probably should have (or as much as we would have liked anyways) on Dre/Snoop/DPG related albums both production and rap wise. Why is it that 1/2 Dead has only had a few features here and there and why is it that none of them ever features on his albums? His albums have been tight regardless but I just always wondered about that. Anyone got any info on this?

On a side note, I remember a while back reading a thread about Warren G not really being featured as much as he probably should have (or as much as we would have liked anyways) on Dre/Snoop/DPG related albums both production and rap wise. One of the reasons is that Suge didn't want his artists to work with people that wasn't signed to Death Row and Lil Half Dead got kicked out of Tha Dogg Pound in '94. Snoop Dogg and Lil C-Style was dissin' him on "Who Got Some Gangsta Shit". The beef got squashed at some point though. HD is one of the original DPG members.

I really don't know. Why wasn't The Twinz or Lil C-Style on "Doggystyle"?

they were but they weren't allowed to do songs for other artists. half dead shouts out the dpg several times, he even reps the crew, but suge wouldn't allow his artists to do songs with whoever they wanted to. Still on a Mission featured Snoop originally. just like Stay Outta LA on 19th Street Compilation had Snoop on the chorus but they changed his voice cause he didn't have the right either lol. DPG was featured on What We Go Through (Warren G) but same story... that's why there's no DPG on early Warren releases too except for Nate.

Yeah, they weren't beefin' when the first album came out/when it was recorded. On "Steel On A Mission", Half Dead reps Hostyle instead of DPG though.

It is a little disappointing that Snoop isn't on the new one.
