and we (well, i know i do) forget about shit like that. caught up in drinking, smoking, living it up. but when you hear someone has died at 51, in this day and age, it really puts shit in perspective.

its the kind of show thats pretty layered, so you get the violence and shit like that but also the family and psychological aspects of the characters
my 2nd favorite show and gandolfini was superb in it

The Sopranos is my favorite piece of mob fiction. It's not fair to compare it to movies, apples and oranges, but there has never been a fictional portrayal of the mob that has been so intellectually rewarding as The Sopranos. It's my second favorite show, after The Wire of course, but the writing, acting, and subject matter is top notch.
