Title: T.I. On Prison: “I Did More Drugs In Prison Than I Did During Paper Trail”
Post by: Sir Petey on August 20, 2013, 08:21:30 PM
TI sets the record strait about his passionate recreational drug use:

Quote
The self-proclaimed “King of the South” revealed that he got into more trouble being in prison than he did being out of prison. He told The Breakfast Club that he was placed in general population in prison and went into survival mode. He told the on-air personalities: “I did more drugs in prison than I did during Paper Trail.“  He said that being in prison taught him to do more illegal things than he did in the “free world,” which is why he slipped up after his first incarceration.

damn cliff.

T.I. really got some mental problems, he's so excessive in a really bad way. You can tell the guy is intelligent but he needs to get his priorities straight because if he doesn't he will just keep having problem with the law. He needs to focus on the good parts of his life, he can really rap and should focus on that. He's so paranoid, just like his fans  :P

It all depends on what you consider being successful. I don't consider being successful in life based on platinum plaques, money and business. You're successful if you can build something good out of every opportunity you are given, and he certainly can't do that, despite his talent, business and money.

come on man he sold millions of records, did movies, clothing, touring, tv shows, and is still makin' a considerable dent in hip hop for 12 years he made the best out of his opportunity. he came from nothin' and became successful and that's undisputable. everybody won't make good of every opportunity in their life even businessmen like jay or diddy they've may not made good on plenty of opportunities but that doesn't mean they're not successful. there's different levels and aspects  of success.

Sometimes you have to think about why you like listening to a certain rapper, especially when you like an artist on a personal level. There is something about how they are that you can realte to, and when your favorite rapper got so many mental disorders (yet you still defend him no matter what) maybe you should recognize that you got a problem too. You don't like him from an artistic point of view. I like Rick Ross but I sure doesn't want to live like him, I simply find his songs funny and over the top. It's not good to get too personal with artists that got obvious lifestyle problems.

I take this hip hop shit seriously this is a lifestyle and I tend to listen to artists that put their life on wax I could never listen to rick ross he does not appeal to me he was a c.o. back in the day his career woulda been finished but today many cats like you just listen to the rhymes for comedy purposes that minstrel show shit. I like lyricists. niggas that's dope. don't get me wrong ross picks some dope beats and I commend him for bein' a hustler but I don't listen to him as an artist period.

It's cool that you like T.I., like I said I respect that, but I don't think it's good for you to get so personal when somebody else don't understand his music. You just try to explain how he is superior because we don't agree with you. Well good for you, I love music too, but you know, I don't really care if you don't like Rick Ross, I still laugh my ass off when I listen to Teflon Don. I don't feel frustration and don't feel like I should defend Rick Ross because he gives us something that, IN MY OPINION, is dope because x y z. That's my opinion and I undesrtand a lot of people don't feel like that.

I don't feel frustration and don't feel like I should defend Rick Ross because he gives us something that, IN MY OPINION, is dope because x y z. That's my opinion and I undesrtand a lot of people don't feel like that.

Like I said, step your rap listening game up

I know they don't understand it they don't come from the streets and never had to hustle to make it. they are trolls and a joke I treat them as such. it's not personal and my rap game listenin' is very above par versus most of this forum. this is a trend for you and hip hop is a lifestyle for me.

This is the point. You base your life on somebody that is undoubtedly fucked up in his head.
nope. why would the fuck I base my life off his ? my life is my life. the music is what matters all that other shit you talkin' miss me wit it.

T.I. really got some mental problems, he's so excessive in a really bad way. You can tell the guy is intelligent but he needs to get his priorities straight because if he doesn't he will just keep having problem with the law. He needs to focus on the good parts of his life, he can really rap and should focus on that. He's so paranoid, just like his fans  :P
t.i. is a successful rapper/businessman how is his priorities not in order ?

It all depends on what you consider being successful. I don't consider being successful in life based on platinum plaques, money and business. You're successful if you can build something good out of every opportunity you are given, and he certainly can't do that, despite his talent, business and money.

you just owned OG Closet Material and yet he'll never understand :D

Sometimes you have to think about why you like listening to a certain rapper, especially when you like an artist on a personal level. There is something about how they are that you can realte to, and when your favorite rapper got so many mental disorders (yet you still defend him no matter what) maybe you should recognize that you got a problem too. You don't like him from an artistic point of view. I like Rick Ross but I sure doesn't want to live like him, I simply find his songs funny and over the top. It's not good to get too personal with artists that got obvious lifestyle problems.
t.i. may have mental issues that's his business. he makes great music and I will always fuck wit t.i.'s music because it appeals to me and it's upper echelon. even back when trap muzik first came out I related to that hustler lifestyle and the bein' in the hood as a youngster so the music was authentic to me. I been listening to t.i. for 10 years  how many of y'all still listenin' to somebody you were listening to from ten years ago til today ?

You write arguments about how we just don't get him like he was something higher than us, something we just can't understand but that you, above everyone else, understood. Well good for you, I love music too, but you know, I don't really care if you don't like Rick Ross, I still laugh my ass off when I listen to Teflon Don. I know I'm going off topic here, but tell me what you think about that OG Classic Material

King is the best T.I.'s album in my opinion, mainly because of the production but T.I. was able to adapt his raps to the great beats he was given to show us how he is, and what he is. He often boast about his cars and a lot of dumb lyrics but on some tracks he showed that he could be lyrical and pretty good flow-wise. I'm Talkin' to You is a really good track, raw street rap with a great instrumental. The singles are mostly good, I think the features are bad except for UGK, but overall it just knocks in the ride.

I'd give it a 6.5 or 7/10.

production wise it was incredible he has the best from the best producers at the time the production was top shelf. the features were dope and the album was trap muzik but on a grand scale. I watched the progress in the music from trap muzik to urban legend to king. king set the bar high.

Reminds me of Rick Ross Teflon Don. Top notch features and production, mafia music on a gigantic, over the top scale.

What I'm trying to say is, even if you type on that keyboard that T.I. is just your favorite artist and nothing else, the way you react to other's people opinion about him is over the top. It almost seems like trolling perfectly done. It's cool that you like an artist, but you should try to realize why you like him that much. That way, you will open your eyes on everything else and you will see that every music is basically the same thing (when done right and staying true to their minds, not talking about the gimmicks): A demonstration that the world is like a big movie influenced by everything in it.

Your mind is way too closed, the ego you constructed for your personnality is nothing more than a construction. Try to recognize that and search for something more tangible than a few fights with posters here and there. Don't try to convince yourself of anything, that is how you become mentally disturbed.

I've already said too much about you and that topic, it should really come to an end because it's not even funny anymore. Yet I'm sure you will reply me something that supposedly proves that T.I. is the best rap artist, and that I just don't get it. Or something samller like: ''conversation over''

And then you will start posting youtube links on every fucking T.I. thread on the whole fucking site because of the insecurities you are feeling. You know you are not right but you just can't accept it because of your ego.

would have been a 10 without those terrible "Get It" and "Stand Up Guy" tracks, those must have been recorded when T.I. was all drugged out and his entire label staff must have been high too during the listening sessions to approve those

I'd give it an 8/10 though  8)
