The self-proclaimed “King of the South” revealed that he got into more trouble being in prison than he did being out of prison. He told The Breakfast Club that he was placed in general population in prison and went into survival mode. He told the on-air personalities: “I did more drugs in prison than I did during Paper Trail.“ He said that being in prison taught him to do more illegal things than he did in the “free world,” which is why he slipped up after his first incarceration.

come on man he sold millions of records, did movies, clothing, touring, tv shows, and is still makin' a considerable dent in hip hop for 12 years he made the best out of his opportunity. he came from nothin' and became successful and that's undisputable. everybody won't make good of every opportunity in their life even businessmen like jay or diddy they've may not made good on plenty of opportunities but that doesn't mean they're not successful. there's different levels and aspects of success.

I been listening to t.i. for 10 years how many of y'all still listenin' to somebody you were listening to from ten years ago til today ? I take this hip hop shit seriously this is a lifestyle and I tend to listen to artists that put their life on wax I could never listen to rick ross he does not appeal to me he was a c.o. back in the day his career woulda been finished but today many cats like you just listen to the rhymes for comedy purposes that minstrel show shit. I like lyricists. niggas that's dope. don't get me wrong ross picks some dope beats and I commend him for bein' a hustler but I don't listen to him as an artist period.
It's cool that you like T.I., like I said I respect that, but I don't think it's good for you to get so personal when somebody else don't understand his music. You just try to explain how he is superior because we don't agree with you. You write arguments about how we just don't get him like he was something higher than us, something we just can't understand but that you, above everyone else, understood. Well good for you, I love music too, but you know, I don't really care if you don't like Rick Ross, I still laugh my ass off when I listen to Teflon Don. I don't feel frustration and don't feel like I should defend Rick Ross because he gives us something that, IN MY OPINION, is dope because x y z. King is the best T.I.'s album in my opinion, mainly because of the production but T.I. was able to adapt his raps to the great beats he was given to show us how he is, and what he is. He often boast about his cars and a lot of dumb lyrics but on some tracks he showed that he could be lyrical and pretty good flow-wise. I'm Talkin' to You is a really good track, raw street rap with a great instrumental. The singles are mostly good, I think the features are bad except for UGK, but overall it just knocks in the ride.
I'd give it a 6.5 or 7/10.

production wise it was incredible he has the best from the best producers at the time the production was top shelf. the features were dope and the album was trap muzik but on a grand scale. I watched the progress in the music from trap muzik to urban legend to king. king set the bar high.

What I'm trying to say is, even if you type on that keyboard that T.I. is just your favorite artist and nothing else, the way you react to other's people opinion about him is over the top. It almost seems like trolling perfectly done. It's cool that you like an artist, but you should try to realize why you like him that much. That way, you will open your eyes on everything else and you will see that every music is basically the same thing (when done right and staying true to their minds, not talking about the gimmicks): A demonstration that the world is like a big movie influenced by everything in it.
Your mind is way too closed, the ego you constructed for your personnality is nothing more than a construction. Try to recognize that and search for something more tangible than a few fights with posters here and there. Don't try to convince yourself of anything, that is how you become mentally disturbed.

would have been a 10 without those terrible "Get It" and "Stand Up Guy" tracks, those must have been recorded when T.I. was all drugged out and his entire label staff must have been high too during the listening sessions to approve those
