Pretty much. Well, not necessarily but i mean, it cannot be denied that video game and anime characters usually dress very cute or very sexy. So yeah, a girl dressing in that fashion is usually very attractive.
I mean its not just the fact that she would look very cute or very sexy but i mean if there is a character from a game or anime or etc that you particularly like, seeing her in the flesh is kind a like fantasy i guess. its not always just the physical appearance that draws the attraction, there is also the personality and characteristics of the character that come into play.
Many anime and game characters are drawn to dress very sexy and skimpy or very cute an innocent so seeing that in the flesh is fucking awesome.
Characters are often designed to act to male fantasy also. Like the way they speak and their body language n shit.
EDIT: I guess you get to see girls dress in a way in which you normally would not. In ways that are only in games or anime or fantasy or like naughty porn shop sty;e costumes. Its also a way to be a pervert looking at school girls and french maids without actually looking at real school girls or having a real maid in which you would be considered a pervert.
Plus you get to see Japanese girls with different colored hair and eyes than usual.
AND, its a bit of fun. I suppose role playing could come into play also.
And then there is the simple fact that it is fucking awesome to see girls that are into video games and anime and more geeky stuff so that alone is cool.
