Timbaland could do a better job!
Xscape new version is dope..and prioduced by darkchild!
slave to the rhythm original version is my favorite!
I would give 7/10
vocals are all amazing....even if they were demos..MJ is the king ! but some producion could be better....timbo sounds like some fake dj mustard :)
-
so what is this? unreleased MJ vocals over modern beats with fake/modern collaborations? Like when a new Pac album comes out?
Is this the first release since his death? I thought that there was going to be an actual real MJ album coming out at some point?
-
They have updated the tracks with the same vocals, and unlike the last album Michael they have included the originals too which are fucking amazin. My fave so far is Do You Know Where Your Children Are original
-
I'll have to check it out.
-
This is how all 2Pac albums should have been done. Put out the remixes and the originals
-
I've had 'Do You Know Where Your Children Are' and 'Blue Gangsta' for a while now, and they're two of my favourite Michael Jackson songs. I haven't checked out the songs from the new album yet but I will do. Hopefully one day they release 'Serious Effect' officially as that's my absolute favourite of all the MJ unreleased songs. I don't know why it didn't make Dangerous.

not bad at all considering the normal quality of posthumous albums and the last one they put out. i'd expect nothing less with tim exec producing/producing. only thing i really don't like is the updated xscape - the OG is nice and groovy and the new one sounds like an overproduced mess, sorry darkchild...

Yeah but that wasn't always possible due to samples and shit.
Plus, they insisted on making every damn album a double disc. This format would've left them with more material to stretch over the years.

Just started the album and waiting for the hydrocodone to kick in. Very excited.

MJ rips the hook on Chicago OG.

I've had most of these for a while, but glad to finally get them in high quality.
I've had a few versions of "Slave to the Rhythm." I was pleasantly surprised with the "OG version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lksM6N1FKlw)" with the LaFace production. The first time I heard the song was this version (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-uUCbTJJwE), so I was expecting this to be the OG. Then a couple years later, they added Beiber (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qr4yJg5qCs) and changed up the beat. I'm so glad that he didn't end up on the album.

nice album 8)

Yes he did, my favorite song off the album.

Did you know they rejected an alternate mix made by Cory Rooney and Michael’s nephew Taryll Jackson that sounded like Give In To Me with the guitars, drums, bass and all that good stuff.
What a bunch of loons.

My thoughts exactly.
